Food was subpar at best. Came here cause we had never tried it. We won't be back. Starters they don't carry white bread. What kind of breakfast place doesn't have white bread??? All the food tastes like it was cooked in ranch seasoning. When I asked our server if the ranch potatoes had a lot of ranch seasoning in them or if that was the name etc he said everyone likes them. Well I don't eat ranch anything I don't like it so I said you can't make them without and he said no they are all made like that. I said ok I'll just make my side a side of fruit. This was with the bacon and eggs. Well he must've interpreted this as that I love ranch because even my eggs tasted as such when they came out. Fruit was 2 blueberries and 2 small strawberries with the rest being honeydew. I even had my wife taste the eggs and she spit them out saying they had ranch in them. She had sausage patties that when they came out she cut into them they were pink in the middle. When our server came back she explained it to him he seemed annoyed to take them back. Bacon was ok. Only 2 pieces of it though. read more

The best breakfast cafe in Thornton! The Bluebird is very special & unique. From the moment you enter, you know you have arrived where the locals eat! My GF has been raving about this place for a while now, so while visiting she and I made sure to drop by. The menu is extensive and I love that the robust coffee is served piping hot in an old-fashioned metal canister-type container you can pour yourself - no waiting! I had delicious Santa Fe huevos (no meat version). YUM!!! This place is just fun... lots of great food options, superb staff and a beautiful cafe inside and out. Can't wait for a return visit and to check out the french toast! read more

My fave quick & easy, traditional breakfast spot in south Denver. Freshly cooked meals, endless well brewed drip coffee, and fast, friendly service. The signs in the window hide a surprisingly open & spotlessly clean dining room. Delicious bacon. Excellent hash browns. Nice size portions. Reasonable prices. read more

This place is very solid local food! They have fresh juices, good coffee and sweet as well as savory meal options. My husband really enjoyed his club sandwich with fries. The green chile is really good as were the potatoes with the Huevos rancheros. Our server was great and restaurant is pretty and clean. I would definitely recommend! read more

Very pleasant experience here. I decided to stop by for breakfast during a solo trip up there and discovered this little gem up north. The host sat me immediately and offered me a variety of drinks as well as coffee while I was looking through the menu. The interior was nicely decorated and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had a unique selection of breakfast items and I wanted to try them all but unfortunately not enough room in this belly I ordered the corned beef hash plate and it was very well made and delicious!! The servers and employees checked on me multiple times and were very nice, made me feel like I wasn't eating breakfast alone. Overall great experience here but I wish they had more of a selection for coffee, I don't particularly like black coffee but other than that it was great, I'll be back! read more

This was our first time at Bluebird Cafe after having it on our Yelp list for a while and hearing great things about it from my husband's coworkers. The service was great, it has a low key and comfy atmosphere and the food was both tasty and affordable. But the waffles? Beyond excellent. Literally the fluffiest (and tastiest) darn waffles I have ever had. Next time there I'm going to get a huge plate of them and I will be so happy. Definitely recommend checking out Bluebird Cafe. read more

The place was loud with all the conversations at the various tables and then the music on top of it made it hard to hear the person next to you. The server was pretty disappointing and M.I.A. most of the time. Didn't offer to refill our water, only refilled my father's coffee once, and we had to ask for items. The table next to us, with the same server, asked for silverware, but the server never came back so they had to ask someone else. The server spent a lot of time up at the bar hanging out with the other employees and wasn't particularly friendly with the patrons. In addition when the runner brought out the food, his wording sounded like he was delivering the wrong food which created a miscommunication and he got miffed, lost his patience and left requiring the server to come back and sort it out. It ended up that everything was fine but didn't really appreciate the attitude when trying to understand what he was saying. I order a latte and they burned the milk making it bitter and barely drinkable. I order the Protein Trio Omelette with a pancake instead of the toast. Which is an extra fee. The omelette was good and not over cooked like many restaurants do. The proportions were huge, so much so that I had a whole meal for leftovers. The omelette came with a nice pile of hashbrowns. The pancake was okay but I felt like the maple syrup was false advertising. The menu says its real Vermont maple syrup but it taste like regular diner syrup. Overall it wasn't bad and I would go back, although it's a bit pricey and the staff isn't all that friendly.

We stumbled across this place while waiting for repairs on our car, and we're so glad we did. The food was excexcellent and the fresh kale juice was a standout. We ordered the crab cake benedict and the breakfast burrito, and both dishes were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The crab cake benedict had a generous portion of crab meat and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and delicious. The breakfast burrito was also a hit, with a great combination of eggs, cheese, and spice. The only downside of our experience was that the restaurant was really cold. We found ourselves shivering throughout our meal and wished the temperature had been a bit more comfortable. Despite the chilly dining room, we highly recommend Bluebird for its delicious food, fresh juices, and friendly service. If you're in the area, be sure to check it out! read more

We had an amazing breakfast at Bluebird Café! I ordered the brie grits with the corned beef hash Benedict--both were incredible. The grits were creamy and rich with just the right touch of brie, and the Benedict had a perfect balance of flavors, with tender hash and a perfectly poached egg. My kids got the chocolate chip pancakes with bacon, sausage, and eggs, and they loved every bite. The pancake were fluffy and packed with chocolate chips, and the sides were cooked just right. It's always nice to find a place that can cook a good breakfast and also makes a decent cup of coffee. I trusted the waitress when she said the coffee was good and it was. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole place has a cozy, welcoming vibe. We'll definitely be back! read more

Bluebird Cafe (formerly The Egg & I) is hands down my favorite breakfast place! My dad and I have been coming here regularly for the past few years thanks to consistently friendly service and great food, which is becoming harder and harder to find. This place ALWAYS has fresh and tasty food with healthy menu options, and is always very clean. Our favorite waitress Emily works here (along with other favorite servers), and she sometimes works as a host or manager. No matter which "hat" she's wearing when we come here, Emily never fails to make us feel welcome and at home. I have seriously grown to LOVE this place! Every time we come here the two main servers take SUCH great care of us. There are a bunch of breakfast places out there, but this one is set apart by how well your staff (especially the female server) makes us feel good and is so sweet to us. Seriously you folks have some amazing employees. Your food is super tasty and more flavorful than other breakfast places in the area. Your avo toast is on point and we will be back every week! I can't tell what makes it special and unique as an Italian restaurant. It's not advertised that they make their own pasta so I couldn't really tell you. This is truly a 2.75 star experience. It's a really popular place for a first dates (we saw a lot of first dates). But this place is small so if you talk in a louder voice, I can hear your first date conversation from across the room and I now know what your favorite color is and a story about your aunt. Just keep that in mind (it's also not a loud restaurant so your date will be able to hear you). Food was okay. The chicken piccata was underwhelming. The best part was the pasta itself. Not enough chicken pieces for what it is. The fried mozzarella was interesting but not for me. The best was the chicken Alfredo and even that was just okay. For the price that we paid, I would've preferred to go to the chain and get their chicken Alfredo because it's always enough to last me 2 meals.

Well....hmmmmmm.....let's start with the food, because the decor is at best, dismal. The food was okay...I guess what you would expect for an all American order that included biscuits & gravy, 2 over easy eggs, hash browns and bacon just over $12.00. Nothing special, but decent portions. Unfortunately the gravy is without sausage, just gravy, 2 over easy eggs with one runny like water, 4 large pieces of bacon and like at home hash browns. The staff was super friendly and the food was quick to arrive. Now for the view...I really wished they would do something with the interior. The establishment has been there for well over 20 years...but the decor looks like it's been there for 75. The vinyl booths are torn and decrepit, the walls are ragged as is the flooring and lighting. Bottom line...if you want an old school breakfast, it's worth a try. If you're looking for ambiance...continue looking for another location.

This compared to some unfavorable reviews I read (mostly on delivery apps) made me just not really care. I went here for a work lunch with a friend and man, I really enjoyed it. I ordered the Mile High Smash burger and it was maybe one of the best burgers I have had from a restaurant in a good long time. It was pretty much exactly what I want from a burger. Tender patties with that crisp edge, soft bun, and I love onion straws on a burger. I would get this every time going back and recommend you (the reader of this review) to get it as well. I also got the onion rings and fries. Noticed it was a bit more expensive as a side but went for it anyway. Our server did warn me that it is a VERY large side and being a dumb man I just ordered it anyway. It was way too large of a side. Mainly fries and maybe like 7 onion rings? Let me tell you though, those onion rings were fantastic. They had a nice little zest to them that cemented that I would just order onion rings in the future. Fries were basic and what you might want or expect from a burger place. Pretty sure they make their own ketchup here! Not good or bad but worth mentioning. Finally, I had a 5280 Lager with my meal. It was crisp and easy to drink but nothing more to say besides that. This place is a bit pricey and I normally deduct points when a place doesn't offer burgers with fries as a standard but overall the meal was too good to let that petty stance detract from the experience. There are a couple American eateries in that area and you would be making the best choice if you went here.

The experience got even better on the day of the party. The team arrived early, was extremely professional, set up all the stations, and immediately got to work prepping everything. By the end of the party, every single guest was complimenting how great the food was! We ordered a little too much, which actually worked out perfectly because we got to enjoy the leftovers for another couple of meals. Great customer service, professional setup, and amazing food. We will definitely be using Vatos Tacos and Tequila again!

When I order the daily special, which was the most expensive brunch item, I expect a nicely presented dish with a well prepared recipe. The skillet was no larger than my coffee saucer with no other accompanying sides. The brisket was not good. It was not tender, nor did it have a good smoked flavor. My belief is if you can't prepare a brisket up to a certain standard you shouldn't offer it on the menu, especially as the daily special. It was a very meager effort. I dont know if the new owners are relaxing their standards, but it would be huge mistake to do so. This visit will not prevent us from visiting again, but we expect better.

We ordered and they brought out chips and salsa. It wasn't bad, the salsa was a bit spicy for my taste. My seatmate order the chimichanga without the smothered green chile. My companion said it was good but there was something off-putting about the chicken, they felt like it was mix of pulled chicken and canned chicken. I ordered a choice special with chicken enchilada, beef tostada and rice and beans. Overall it wasn't bad. Everything tasted as expected. The chicken enchilada was a bit bland even with the red sauce. It tasted fresh, but was missing that exceptional restaurant quality that you want when you go out.
