When we first entered the place, we were welcomed with a friendly smile. It was clean however, the place was quite unusual. Their menu was on the overhead, one you would normally see at at fast food joint. Our server was polite and very nice. She kept returning to our table to check up on us if we needed anything, that's good service! The sushi and appetizers along with other side dishes were priced reasonably unlike some other sushi restauraunt in bigger cities. My only dissapoint was that this restauruant didn't have a sushi bar. We ordered the jalapeño bomber. Terriyaki chicken bowl (t'was very juicy!) Spicy tuna roll, Baked Lobster Roll (didn't take a picture, couldn't wait and just savaged it). The food was so good. For a small town with the only sushi restauraunt. Quality was delivered. Finally tried this place after hearing so many great things about it. I ordered the teriyaki chicken breast plate, with white rice & salad. It was delicious. We also got the Las Vegas roll. So I ordered 2 chicken teriyaki bowls at 5pm and was told it was going to take 25 minutes and got there at 5:45, and it still wasn't ready so I wait another 30 minutes and then around 6:15pm I ask if my order is almost ready after waiting and then said another 20 minutes!!!!! Which is ridiculous and asked for my money back and then the cashier says you have to talk to the manager I said "gladly" and she says it's because "we are really busy" I said "this is an ongoing issue here this isn't the first time" I get my money back and the lady only gives me 16 dollars not what I paid for which was 19 dollars she didn't include the extra sauce and taxes. Moral of the story is that BLUE SUSHI TAKES FOREVER and ruined my dinner plans! read more

The food is good, but be mindful to check your order and especially check your receipt. First, we were given the wrong order. The manager then called us to essentially blame us for the mistake. We then had to return the food for an exchange. If this isn't bad enough, they got it wrong a second time. All they did to try and remedy the matter was to extend an $8 credit. read more

A hidden gem in small town Wasco. It was referred by a friend, so I decided one day to try it out. The set up is simple, but if in a hurry I would call ahead to place orders. The food was yummy! If you don't feel like driving to Bakersfield or Visalia stop by Wasco and go to Blue. They have a pretty good selection of sushi and hand rolls. I will definitely be back and referring family and friends to try their food. I tried their beef bowl and it was delicious. I would of have asked for extra teriyaki sauce. The vegetables was crisp. The beef cooked to perfection. I also tried their Scallop roll, which was also delicious and fresh! I will definitely try other items on their menu. read more

They have a lot of variety of suchi, raw and cooked, and other delicious dishes too like my hubby's fav teriyaki shrimp (they're not stingy with their shrimp). Their sea food is always very fresh. This place has everything a Japanese food lover, that happens to live in a small town about an hour and a half from the coast, could want! Their chicken, beef, seafood bowls are always fresh and delicious. Portions of the bowls are very generous as well. While they don't have an enormously varied sushi menu, the rolls they do serve are tasty and fresh. The staff is very friendly and helpful too, they're always happy to answer any questions. The only reason I didn't give them the fifth star is because of their hours, closed on Monday and only open from about noon to 6pm. I'm sure they have their reasons, but I don't understand why they're not open during peak dinner hours. Short hours aside, they're always busy because the quality of their food is apparent to everyone. There is usually a 20 or so minute wait but that's only because the food is fresh. I love this place, my only complaint is that I want it open longer so that I can get more delicious food in my belly! read more
