    Barbecue sauces
    Chris M.

It had three tables and a stand-up counter. I was there at rush hour so all the table were full. I had brisket, pulled pork with cole slaw and Cajun cabbage. I had never heard of Cajun cabbage so the man at the counter gave me a sample. How is that for customer service? The brisket had bark so I know they have a smoker. They also had Mac & cheese. My plate was full. A piece of cornbread came with it....... like I had room after my meal for cornbread. There were five different types of barbecue sauce. The hot one was my favorite. I had them give me the sauce on the side. I would recommend. Remember to bring an appetite.

This was my first time at blue ribbon. I like the fact that you can actually smell the barbecue when you get out of your car if you're within one block of the restaurant. I decided to get a combo plate so I could taste a few different items. I ended up with the ribs and brisket combo. Let me tell you this is a huge plate of food. It comes with two sides and a piece of cornbread. Thank God, my buddy and I were on the way to a show and we just split it so we could give a little taste. It actually filled up good size men. Yes the one plate filled up two good size men. The ribs were just about to fall off the bone great smoke flavor perfectly cooked.. the brisket was off the hook this place knows how to make a brisket. The spicing the smoke just amazing. For the sides, it took a couple tries. They were out of what we were looking for however, we ended up with. I believe it was Street corn pasta salad different. I really enjoyed it. Then it was something called dirty rice with gravy another great dish. Cornbread was so so. I like the fact that they had lemonade and it actually taste like homemade lemonade. I should've asked, but I'm going to take the chance and tell everyone it's homemade lemonade it was tasty and refreshing. What I like is you can actually see the smoker it's a big huge black diamond plate type smoker. I've never seen one inside but when you walk into this restaurant, it's amazing. I did not get to see the inside of the smoker. The doors were closed however I'm sure the shelves with bless With these beautiful perfectly spiced or rubbed briskets. I look forward to going back and trying a couple other types of protein and sides.

What we ate/drank: Brisket, Ribs, Potato Salad, Pickles Would recommend? Yes Blue Ribbon BBQ is a solid option for anyone craving BBQ in the area. The brisket was the standout--tender, juicy, and full of flavor, though we were a bit surprised it came in a pint container rather than in traditional slabs. The potato salad was classic and well-executed--creamy, with just the right amount of seasoning. The pickles were a nice, tangy contrast to the rich meats. The decor has that classic BBQ roadhouse vibe, adding to the overall laid-back, casual atmosphere. Ordering is easy, and it's also a great spot for takeout if you're on the go. Overall, Blue Ribbon BBQ offers a satisfying BBQ experience, with the brisket and potato salad making it a good choice in the area. Would recommend getting the meats with no sauce and then grabbing sauce on the side.

We have been to Blue Ribbon a handful of times and enjoy the food. Stopped in on a Saturday after a soccer game, wasn't sure if it would be a long wait at 6:15pm or if we could get a spot to sit - less than 20 minute wait for food and most people in there were just getting takeout, so we had a place to sit. My son and I both had the brisket platter which was great. We got pulled pork to take home but tried some and it was delicious.

Place was decorated as western America which is nice. Didn't like the sauces that I got (too salty). Got don platter with ribs brisket mashed potatoes and corn bread. The dish comes with cornbread but got another side of it. Mashed potatoes were perfect, like the cornbread comes wrapped individually. Wish I got more ribs. Brisket was little dry and burned but needed extra flavor. Ribs were good but need more for the portions (3 given). Staff was nice and no line and was quickly served

$4 for this amount of Pulled Chicken???

So disappointed. I used to love this place. Ordered the Side Dish Platter and asked for Baked Beans, but got Green Beans. Coleslaw didn't taste like anything. The only thing that was still good were the Mashed Potatoes. Also ordered the Big Green Salad with Pulled Chicken. I could not believe how little chicken I received. I know prices have gone up, but the container was the same size as the salad dressing container. Also, the Caesar salad dressing was runny and flavorless. Threw most of it away. So sad.

2-meat platter - HEAVY and loaded with several meals' worth. Cornbread is what's wrapped in foil.

They offer BBQ plates, sandwiches, wraps, chicken wings, chicken tenders, fried foods (fries, okra, pickles), and sides (mac n cheese, candied yams, garlic mashed potatoes, rice, collard greens, BBQ pit beans, potato salad, grilled vegetables, & potato salad). The pricing is moderate. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16.99 plus hospitality fee and tax) served with choice of side and pickles. Since I parked very close to the food stall, I sat in my vehicle (with flashers) for 5 minutes and quickly retrieved my order. The pulled pork sandwich was a good size with cole slaw, tender sweet BBQ pulled pork on a thick soft egg bun. The pulled pork was mostly lean meat, a bit dry, but it tasted just fine. The potato salad was pretty good, which had firm gold potatoes, chopped red onions, celery, egg, mustard, mayo, and seasonings and dill pickle chips on the side. I enjoyed my food in the vehicle before heading back home. I will have to try some of their other meats and sides on the next visit to Wade BBQ.

Next...the brisket and pulled pork was incredible. I had every person say how delicious, lean and tasty it was. Even the ribs were unbelievable. I would put them up next to Rusty Can....and everyone knows that place for BBQ. 1 star more. The sauces were really good. The Alabama Sauce was great...the Gold dressing was tasty sweet....and their Texas BBQ was by far the best one. I applaud whoever came up with that because that's what makes the meats even more flavorful. Final star added. Sadly...I had everyone say the Mac and cheese was bland. I had to add salt to have it taste alittle better but I understand...its a side dish and maybe it wasn't made to order. The French fries were not good. It was like mashed potatoes and they just completely disassembled into a soggy mess. They also provided cornbread...I was really looking forward to that being somewhat good but unfortunately...it was terrible. So...Am I saying Code1BBq isn't good? NO. It was overall excellent food! I will go back again for their meats...I only wish the side dishes were better next time. Maybe I'll try others if they reccomend what vs. What I chose.

Flavorwise, well seasoned broth enjoyed it on a cold day, wish it was actually spicy. Pork bulgogi, I'm usually accustomed to gochujang chili paste style with onions and carrots but they have a different take. It was more a tangy sweet bbq or teriyaki style with a load of bean sprouts (i personally hate bean sprouts not that i can't eat it haha) not my cup of tea tho. Overall thank you for the meal and the great service. Dishes didn't hit it out of the park for me. All the best!

I believe this is a family-owned establishment, offering Korean cuisine. We arrived slightly before they opened back up for dinner, & ended up being their first customers for the evening. Throughout our entire meal, we had the same server who helped us... she was very nice & sweet! We ended up ordering these three dishes to try: -kimchi seafood pancake -spicy beef stew -pork bulgogi Thoughts: So, I was reading some reviews before coming here & I was kind of shocked that they charge extra if you want banchan here lol. I've never seen this before. Anywho, didn't end up getting banchan to try. All the dishes took around 10-20 min to arrive, with the kimchi seafood pancake being served to us first. I personally enjoyed it! It was crispy on the edges/crust but it was a little hard to eat only because it kept falling apart on us. For the pork bulgogi (grill), we were expecting the usual gochujang + gochugaru w/ carrots + onions on a skillet. This was simply served on a white plate w/ a bunch of bean sprouts. We were not expecting there to be bean sprouts at all lol & the menu does not include descriptions for any of their dishes, other than the alert server of any allergies. We're not allergic to bean sprouts by any means, but do not enjoy eating them. It was a bit unexpected since we've never experience this dish being cooked this way. Aside from the bean sprouts in the pork bulgogi, I would say this dish was overall not a hit for us. The flavor profile was similar to teriyaki sauce? Not exactly sure but just ended up not being anything we envisioned. Now, as for the spicy beef stew, I enjoyed the flavor! It came with glass noodles & a side of rice. Portion sizes were average & on par with other Korean spots in MA, in my opinion. I would say, one thing I wished was if everything was spicier. We found all the dishes to be very mild in spice. Overall, I would say 3/5. It unfortunately didn't hit the spot for us. The prices were also on the higher side. Normally it wouldn't matter if the flavors were there for us but I don't think we will be returning any time soon. Perhaps maybe in the future to try their sundubu jjigae/tofu soup as I see great reviews for that dish from here. Parking: street parking

The restaurant was comfy; there was an electric fireplace on the wall which made the room feel homey. We got fried pork momos, which were delicious and juicy. I got the pork chili from the appetizer menu and garlic naan for my meal, and my companions got the chow mein and sekuwa. The chow mein looked standard and sekewa was grilled chicken served with puffed rice (looked like rice krispies). Everyone was happy with their meals, but I especially loved mine. There were slices of pork belly in a flavorful sauce with tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers. Note that the pork belly still has the skin on it (which I personally love). My only complaint was at medium, the food seemed mild, but I'll be clearer of my spice preferences next time. I would definitely come back specifically for the pork chili!

The dipping sauce was good as well, possibly a mint-like flavor. The pork momos were really good too, with nice crimping on the skin and decent fillings inside. The chicken vindaloo was decent, though I might have liked more specificity to the flavoring of the vindaloo. The potatoes were nicely textured. The chicken bites were a bit large, they could have been chopped up a bit. The gorkhali khasi (a goat curry) was fairly decent with tender nice pieces. The flavoring was oversalted and again could have used a tad more definition. The bone-in aspect was appreciated as it held the flavor of the meat. The bhindi masala (okra) was fairly successful with a solid infusion of flavor into the okra. The dish was overall too oily though and some steps need to be taken to minimize the oil. All in all quite enjoyable!
