The food is fresh as it was consistently being refilled by staff. Pretty much everything was tasty. I like that there are many options you don't see at most buffets. The servers are attentive to clearing plates and bringing refills. The inside is very large and accommodating for large groups. Lots of seafood options, chicken, and dessert! Definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Disappointed with My Visit to Blue Pearl Buffet I went to the bank today for some errands, and by the time I was done, it was already 1 PM. I told my husband, "Let's grab a quick lunch outside before we head to the grocery store." Right across the road, we spotted a place called Blue Pearl Buffet. I thought why not try something new? Most buffets around here are usually decent, so it felt like a safe choice. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be very disappointing. Almost 90% of the food was cold, and the amount of MSG used was overwhelming ,it left a weird aftertaste and an unpleasant feeling in my mouth for hours afterward. I didn't expect much from the sushi section, but I certainly didn't expect it to be rubbery hard either. The only good thing was the chilled water. Also, just because food looks good in pictures doesn't mean it tastes good ,this place is the perfect example of that. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're expecting a fresh, enjoyable buffet experience. There are better options nearby where your money and taste buds will be better respected.

The restaurant was clean and well lit, it was just before the dinner rush so it was about 1/3 full. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. The buffet bars were well stocked and food looked appetizing and tasted like one would expect on a Chinese buffet. Over 150 items were advertised. While I didn't count there was an abundance of items as can be seen in the photos. I took my time eating and when I left the place was over half full. Not bad for a Monday. The atmosphere was relaxing and several families were there. The dinner price of $20 seems reasonable given the huge selection. My stomach wasn't big enough to try everything but what I had I enjoyed. 4 stars only because it was a buffet.

Not too bad for the price. A very good value and lots of variety. They had several shrimp dishes, baked salmon, and chicken. They also had non Asian dishes too. They tried to keep it clean and the service was good.

It is always good to eat here. Not too crowded on week nights. Service and food are good.

I usually don't leave reviews, he food was raw chicken. Yes, raw. Not undercooked, straight-up pink.

I don't normally leave reviews but this buffet was so bad I feel obligated to warn others. First off, the food was RAW chicken. Yes, raw. Not undercooked straight up pink.

Stopped for a quick lunch with my mom after the morning at My Vernon. I was skeptical due to the low star rating. But I looked at the google rating and gave me a better feel. I got to the restaurant just after noon. The buffet was large and tidy, salads, fruit, seafood, sushi, hot dishes, Mongolian bbq (custom dishes) and dessert. The dining room is clean and staff/wait staff was very tentative. All the flavors for good the food is hot. Only complaint I have is the garlic shrimp were hard to peel If I'm in the area, I will definitely stop for another buffet lunch :-)

Upon entering your greeted and everything. The employee was speaking in a very low voice though. Also you could very easily tell there was a lack of ventilation inside the place. The pricing was very high for a weekday dinner. After being seated in a booth that had very heavy wear & tear on it plus the springs were shot too. I decided to give the food a try. The food area was very strange for a buffet environment. Barely any steam coming off most of the food. Also a lot of food looked nowhere near fresh. The sushi area was very limited as well as the hibachi area too. The hibachi area raw food you could easily tell lacked even a decent QUALITY of meat. Upon tasting the food. The sushi tasted like utter crap. Nowhere near fresh. I've NEVER had sushi this bad before. Even spit a few pieces out. The other food was barely warm. Some even cold. This is the only buffet where you DON'T see steam coming off all the food. The hibachi food looked very weird after it was cooked. It was even debatable if it was actually pure chicken. Just discarded the entire plate due to not knowing if it was pure chicken and not a unknown meat. The crabs were a TOTAL FAIL. **SEE PICS**, Broken pieces drowned in oil as well as the overall appearance of the crabs looked very strange. Just discarded the entire plate of crabs. The hot food. 90% of the food was nowhere near hot nor barely even warm. Most of the chicken was cold and you could easily tell it was old meat either from yesterday or earlier today. Had to spit out most of the food due to it being undercooked and cold. Also the food selection here is very very poor compared to other buffets these days. The employees are friendly here. Not very social though. The general crowd was mainly adults. Some kids. Highly mature though. The ventilation was very bad here. No air circulating really. No AC or any fans on. It was becoming humid. The overall noise level was normal for a buffet. You could however overhear some people complaining about never coming back due to the quality of the food and also due to the fact they're giving everyone TAP WATER instead of filtered water. Overall. THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL DUMP. The place was clean. But the food they're serving is nowhere near fresh and some of it is even highly questionable about the type & quality of meat. NEVER AGAIN.....

The actual restaurant feels massive but decorated in a rustic way. I want to give a huge shout out to Alicia. She is such a knowledgeable, approachable, and receptive server. She was on top of refilling drinks, making sure we weren't left alone for too long when we were waiting for our food to come, and just had an overall amazing energy. While we really enjoy all of the servers we've had at Mikes, Alicia takes the cake. If there's any way to provide her with recognition, I would highly vouch for it. She could sell me anything on that menu with that kind of personality! Thank you, Alicia! I'm going to make sure we try to get seated at your table again.

I visited Mike's American after coming across it on Resy and was able to get a same-day reservation…read morefor two on Easter Sunday. As expected, it was busy, but the restaurant does have a fairly large parking lot which made arrival easier. The setup was interesting. After checking in downstairs, I was given a ticket and directed upstairs for seating. I took the elevator, which offered a clear view of the kitchen below as it ascended... definitely a unique touch. Upstairs, another host staff guided us to our table. The space had a lively feel, roaring with chatter from customers, and I could see parts of the kitchen where food was being prepared over an open flame, which added to the overall atmosphere. For the food, we started with the calamari. It was cooked well and had a nice texture, especially paired with the crispy onion shoestrings, which added a good crunch and flavor. It was served over a lobster sauce, although the lobster flavor wasn't very noticeable. The main issue was the salt level... it was quite heavy! I did enjoy it overall, but I would only recommend it to someone who doesn't have to watch their sodium intake. For entrées, I ordered the steak cooked medium with broccolini. The dish automatically comes with mashed potatoes, and while I was able to substitute the salad for broccolini, there didn't seem to be flexibility with the potatoes. After tasting the mashed potatoes, I wish I was offered to substitute it as it tasted like the brown box we grew up on where you just added water. When the food came out, the steak was closer to medium-well or well done rather than medium, and both the mashed potatoes and broccolini were a bit cold. I chose not to send it back since we waited but it did affect the overall experience. My guest ordered the ribs with fries and coleslaw. The ribs were well-prepared--tender with a clean pull off the bone--and were probably the highlight of the meal. The fries were also very good and came out hot. The coleslaw wasn't as well received, described as having too many of the tougher parts of the cabbage. Overall, the experience had some positives, especially in terms of atmosphere and certain menu items like the ribs and fries. While I did enjoy parts of the meal, it's not somewhere I would personally return to, but it may be worth trying once to form your own opinion.

We ordered the half parrillada: argentina and it was a good amount of food for two people. The steak came out medium rare as we asked but it really didn't taste like it had much seasoning. The way everything came together in that sandwich worked really well. The plantains were just okay but the mashed potatoes were SO good and creamy. The atmosphere: The restaurant is spacious, and I like it when the outdoor area is open since it has a shaded setup and a fire pit. Otherwise, there's still plenty of indoor seating. The food: We started with the Korean Fried Chicken in the soy garlic flavor, which was probably my favorite part of the meal. It came out hot and crispy. We also ordered two rolls, the Double Toro Roll and the Double Salmon Roll. Both were drenched in a Japanese dressing or soy-based sauce, which caused them to fall apart almost immediately after picking them up. The flavor was overly sour and salty, making it hard to taste the freshness of the fish. Overall, the balance of flavors felt completely off. We also tried the Spicy Crunchy Tuna Bites, and to our surprise, the only crunchy element was a small part of the outer rice shell. Everything else was chewy and overloaded with mayo, so it wasn't a favorite for us. The service: The service was a bit touch-and-go throughout the meal.

We sat there for the evening and had such a fun time, due in no small part to the bartender, who was super nice, genuinely funny, and clearly knew their way around a cocktail. A charming and commendable combination. The atmosphere strikes a very pleasing balance. It feels warm and inviting with a slightly upscale air, but never in a way that feels stuffy or overly serious. Not what I expected but it will suit specific people looking for their offerings. Burton's Grill is your typical all American restaurant but focuses on serving all the dietary needs of Americans with allergies or not. The place looks new, the kind of place you wanna wear clean clothes at a minimum and not look slovenly. Outside sitting, full large bar, sports on several TVs above the center of the bar, and a lot of servers milling around here. Great lighting, not loud but not quiet either, just chill. We were starved so our eyes ate. Brunch was still being served till 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays so I grabbed the French Toast and the Steak and Eggs. My friend had allergies with gluten so she went with a salmon and some super salad dish. She was happy as all the dishes had markers for gluten free, food free, soul free, etc. Very helpful for all allergy infused humans. Great waitress btw. Fantastic service. Food came after some time, we requested for everything to come out on time. Steak and egg was okay but I'd go with the prime rib next time. The steak came out sliced with 2 poached eggs on top. The hash on the side was on point. Salmon okay too. Salad was okay but we should have added a protein on top. A little dry on dressing maybe but we could have requested more so that's on us. On the other hand, the French toast had me scratching my head. It was cubed challah bread but eggs was 0, zero, nada eggs on it. I thought I was eating croutons which would have gone great with the super salad dish thinking about it now. The French toast really bunched up my undies, French toast is my favorite breakfast thing you see. They explained it was prepped that way for allergy sake due to the egg. Well, I'm not allergic and never said I was, but my friend was but she wasn't eating my dish so why make it in this fashion. Overall, this experience was just okay. Nice environment and service but I realized how lucky I am not to be allergic cause if I have to eat French toast like this forever, I'm not sure what to do. Definitely not up to eating croutons with syrup.
