I came in here recently for lunch. It is your typical Asian-style seafood buffet. I got the buffet and a Pepsi for about $21.00. I got mussels, crawfish, shrimp, fried rice and chicken, and sushi on my plate. I ate one large plate and did not go back for seconds. I got two refills on the Pepsi free of charge. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were very appreciative of the tip (about $4.00). The selection was reasonably large. The food was good quality for the prices. No complaints. If I could give this place a negative rating it work be a negative five. I should have know better than to patronize this establishment from the moment I walked up to the building. Kids running and climbing around in the parking lot. This restaurant caters to only the Mexicans to include the menu. Very disappointing!!! To make matters worse and most grotesque!!! The crowd was rude and a higher ratio of kids, again running around and climbing on the chairs. Although a sign is posted"children under ten are to be accompanied by an adult", this was absolutely not the case. The kids were stuffing their faces as if no table manners with their hands and licking fingers, to then return to the buffet without an adult picking food from the buffet with their fingers. Some of which were seen throwing the items back in the buffet, such as lemons, pineapple, and corn. Let's not talk about the ice cream station. Not one adult yet again, armpit deep fingers dangling from the utensils being utilized. This establishment is short of having roaches and disease, considering the lack of care from the staff that stood around and said nothing. The food is fresh as it was consistently being refilled by staff. Pretty much everything was tasty. I like that there are many options you don't see at most buffets. The servers are attentive to clearing plates and bringing refills. The inside is very large and accommodating for large groups. Lots of seafood options, chicken, and dessert! Disappointed with My Visit to Blue Pearl Buffet I went to the bank today for some errands, and by the time I was done, it was already 1 PM. I told my husband, "Let's grab a quick lunch outside before we head to the grocery store." Right across the road, we spotted a place called Blue Pearl Buffet. I thought why not try something new? Most buffets around here are usually decent, so it felt like a safe choice. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be very disappointing. Almost 90% of the food was cold, and the amount of MSG used was overwhelming ,it left a weird aftertaste and an unpleasant feeling in my mouth for hours afterward. I didn't expect much from the sushi section, but I certainly didn't expect it to be rubbery hard either. The only good thing was the chilled water. Also, just because food looks good in pictures doesn't mean it tastes good ,this place is the perfect example of that. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're expecting a fresh, enjoyable buffet experience. There are better options nearby where your money and taste buds will be better respected. read more

The restaurant was clean and well lit, it was just before the dinner rush so it was about 1/3 full. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. The buffet bars were well stocked and food looked appetizing and tasted like one would expect on a Chinese buffet. Over 150 items were advertised. While I didn't count there was an abundance of items as can be seen in the photos. I took my time eating and when I left the place was over half full. Not bad for a Monday. The atmosphere was relaxing and several families were there. The dinner price of $20 seems reasonable given the huge selection. Stopped for a quick lunch with my mom after the morning at My Vernon. I was skeptical due to the low star rating. But I looked at the google rating and gave me a better feel. I got to the restaurant just after noon. The buffet was large and tidy, salads, fruit, seafood, sushi, hot dishes, Mongolian bbq (custom dishes) and dessert. The dining room is clean and staff/wait staff was very tentative. All the flavors for good the food is hot. Just discarded the entire plate due to not knowing if it was pure chicken and not a unknown meat. The hot food. 90% of the food was nowhere near hot nor barely even warm. Most of the chicken was cold and you could easily tell it was old meat either from yesterday or earlier today. Had to spit out most of the food due to it being undercooked and cold. Also the food selection here is very very poor compared to other buffets these days. The employees are friendly here. Not very social though. The general crowd was mainly adults. Some kids. Highly mature though. The ventilation was very bad here. No air circulating really. No AC or any fans on. It was becoming humid. The overall noise level was normal for a buffet. You could however overhear some people complaining about never coming back due to the quality of the food and also due to the fact they're giving everyone TAP WATER instead of filtered water. The Buffett looks better than it actually is. I always check for fried rice, noodles and egg drop soup. They had all those items but they were just so-so. I can usually tolerate chicken broth in egg drop soup. This one made me sick. The pizza must be frozen. I took one bite and was done. Hubby likes the custom made soups. He wasn't excited about the soup. The fries weren't all soft. There were hard pieces, like it wasn't evenly cooked. The orange slices were good. The melons weren't fully ripe. The seafood items were not a quality item like you can get at Phillips or many other places. The servers stopped noticing us less than halfway through the meal. I had to keep motioning for them. I'm not a big fan of Chinese buffets, mostly because the quality isn't very good. I rather eat at a restaurant, order less dishes and I know it will be of higher quality. Either way, the family likes going to Chinese buffets and I love my family, so here we are. Blue Pearl offers more than just Chinese dishes. They also have sushi, fried chicken, pizza, fries, Pho, Hibachi, garlic bread, etc. Their dim sum section is usually my favorite, but on our most recent visit, there wasn't a whole lot of variety. Most of that section was empty. Blue Pearl offers a lot of seafood options and desserts, but the quality is not quite there. You get a lot of food that lacks flavor and isn't all that fresh. Food quality is definitely going downhill these days, but I assume the business owner has to do something to recover from the COVID lockdown, or to deal with record high inflation. Take out customers be aware: they may charge you more than what you should pay. The last time I went there, my food weighted 0.6 lb. on the scale; $7.95 * 0.6 = $4.77, but on my receipt, I was charged $5.77 before tax. This definitely happened more than once to me before, because I usually take about the same amount of food, but the price varies suspiciously. My experience is that the old lady with glasses would give me the honest price, the short lady, who only works at the frond desk and doesn't wear the waiter uniform, cheats. read more

I am walking distance to the place. And been to this place a couple of times because of the convivence of distance. I am not a big fan of seafood so I cannot speak for it. But for everything else the food is room temperature and chicken seem like its been in the buffet for a long time. sushi and fruits and veggies is are all fresh and you see sometimes the employees working cutting the fruit. the Tables are sticky. chairs are comfortable and easy to scoot back. Some of it was pretty cold too. My complaints are that food items are poorly labeled, and how do you not serve Wonton soup? They have Pho, but no Wonton! How strange! I also found it strange in layout. The layout is all over the place, and feels like a maze just to make your way through it. You also pay before you eat. Okay... At least the customer service is decent. My friend had a fly in his water, and to play it safe they took my water and replaced them both. Don't think I'll be coming here again. The food is always cold. Even when it's busy and you think they'll change out food often, they won't. I came with my husband and his friend, we all got a plate or two and after that, the server had came to drop off fortune cookies and we were not even done yet. She then proceeds to take plates off the table that weren't finished, and stand right in front of our table. I politely told her, we were not finished.
