We had already figured out which camper we wanted and Tom's had one in stock here in Mesa and another in their Prescott location so we stopped in to check it out. We worked with John R in sales and found him to be very good at communicating with us as well as negotiating a fair price to match the price of an out of state dealer. We knew we wanted to stay close to home because something is certain to go wrong and we know that you get priority service if you need repairs when you buy local. We scheduled a pick up date and they had the trailer ready, and even helped us choose and set up our new hitch and gave us some advice on towing. Gabe and his guys in service have also been great. We have had to take it in twice and they got us in and back out quickly. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that the floor was impossibly dirty when we picked it up. I have mopped it at least 20 times at the time of this writing and we may finally have it all clean. They had same day appointments available, but I live miles away and didn't want to drive down to Mesa during rush hour. So I was able to come in at my scheduled time. First, you park in any open spot. Then you can go into the store, and let the receptionist know you are there. There is a small waiting area. Kenny was the guy who helped me. He came back not too long after confirming what was wrong. He didn't charge me for fixing the latching problem on my SnugTop. He said it was a simple fix and no charge. We drove from Las Vegas to Mesa and back in a single day in order to trade in our previous trailer and purchase a new one. There were several local RV dealerships we had visited, but none provided the same level of customer service we received from this dealership and every single one of its employees who helped us. We were a little nervous about purchasing out of state, but Matt and Emily made the process as easy as possible and gave us the confidence we needed to move forward. They were able to get us a much lower price on the trailer we wanted to buy and got us approved for an interest rate 3% lower than what local dealerships were quoting us at, saving us thousands of dollars in interest. Even when the trailer we intended to buy sold to someone else unexpectedly, Matt found a similar (but actually better) one at another location and ensured it was delivered to Mesa and ready in time for our arrival (relatedly, highly recommend putting that fully refundable hold deposit down like we **should** have - sorry for not listening to you there, Matt). Once we arrived, they quickly (but thoroughly) walked us through the entire process - from the rig walk through to financing to hitching it to our truck. The team members in service and the warehouse were very informed, approachable and friendly and a pleasure to work with. A couple of days after we took delivery of our trailer, I reached out to Matt via email with some follow-up questions and he was quick to reply, something that is too often rare once the deal is closed. It was impressive. I do not react well to high-pressure sales environments and REALLY appreciated that there was nothing like that in our experience with Tom's Camperland in Mesa. I can't recommend this dealership enough. Firstly, let me start by saying that the only positive experiences we had with Tom's was with our sales guy Matt & our walk thru assistant, Angel. They are the ONLY reason we didn't back out of our purchase of our 2022 Encore Rog. Both were polite, communicative & up front. They deserve a raise or a better place of employment. We were told that our camper would be ready to go, ready to roll off the lot at 3pm. We arrived at 2:45pm to allow extra time for ourselves, but we weren't prepared to be flat out ignored for nearly an hour. No less than 10 employees walked by us as we were waiting for our final walk thru, offering zero instruction or expectations for the process. We saw only one worker doing the walk thru check out process & asked one of other employees, Emily, why there was such a backup in the walk thrus. She snarked "well that's because it's hard to find good workers who will show up on time" while walking away from us & the situation. No effort to make the situation better by potentially calling to action to help the swamped employee, Angel. Emily chose to be rude & dismissive towards us when we had just signed over $26k in financing with her a week prior. She flat out acted like we were the ones being unreasonable for asking what the hold up was. Angel was doing his best with finishing up a walk thru with another customer but she sure did try to make it seem like it was his fault, when it was clear he was scrambling A L O N E to get everyone taken care of. Pretty much as soon as Tom's got their financing money, they stopped trying to provide any reasonable level of customer service. During our check out, we noticed our brand new travel trailer has MANY issues that needed repair already. First of all, they didn't even WASH it. It was filthy. Both sets of blinds were broken. The air vent has adhesive reside stuck all over it, there wasn't enough air in the tires & roof rack was obviously broken & shoddily put back together before we arrived. As we went to plug it up to test the electrical system, another employee comes flying thru the warehouse with a fork lift & runs over the cord that's attached to our trailer. He ends up getting the cord caught in the forklift & it YANKS our small trailer so hard & pulled it forward so violently that it slammed into me & almost knocked me down. Absolutely ZERO acknowledgment from the forklift employee, he just kept going with no apology or to even see if we are ok. We ended up finishing our walk thru around 1.5hrs after it was supposed to start. Feeling good about our adventure trailer itself but feeling no love lost towards Tom's camper land as a whole. 3 months before taking our RV in for warrant repairs, I coordinated with service dept rep Jacob. There were emails, phone calls and extensive noting of thing that needed to be done and finished within the week we left it with them. We live full time in our RV and had to rent a place for $1000.00 that week while they had it. They knew this was a huge financial strain on us and they knew their job when we dropped it off on the Saturday before our appt on Monday. Jacob went and blue tapped all issues needing repair and fixing with writing all down as he went along. I called on Monday afternoon to inquire how things were going and he replied" we are going to get to it, but we are very busy". Reminded him this was costing us daily. Called midweek on Weds, left message with no answer back. Called first thing Friday morning and he said" Looks like everything is good to go for a pick up on Saturday, I'll talk to my technician and call you back, otherwise come in the morning". No return call back. Show up at noon on Saturday. Jacob not there, but Asst. service manager Brendan? takes up to our RV in back service lot. All over the ground was nails, screws, garbage, metal pieces strewn all over as I walk around RV. Walked in our RV and only 2 items were stapled into place and they made a mess of that as well. They over screwed a frame plate for cabinet above Rv and broke it, NOTHING on our list was completed. I was extremely upset and asked for Manager Allen. He said " I will talk to Jacob in the morning. I'm really sorry and I'll call you first thing on Monday morning to find out why items left with us were not addressed". I call at noon on Monday and Allen is not in store, left msg for call back. Call Tuesday at 10;00am, nope no Manager in but Jacob will call me back. Jacob calls and explains" I think there was a misunderstanding. I thought you asked for a "diagnostic" look over of RV to see what was wrong" WHAT??? I told him, "why would I have spent this time and effort 3 months before appt to get approvals from Rv manufacturer, tell him time after time , we have to move out of Rv and get a rental in Phoenix and that it was going to cost us a lot of money." Dumb struck, extremely angry, no call from Allen the General Manager and NO reimbursement for our rental for the week that we needed to move into and they DID NOT DO what they said they would. On a side note, as we were hitching up our rig, another rig just like ours was bought from Toms. The gentleman was with his elderly father. He told us they drove 8 hours from CA to pick up their new RV. They were also told by Toms that their rig would be ready to haul home when they got there and that the rig would have a issues fixed and cleaned. He was very upset as well and exhausted from the drive he told us. On our rig, when I dropped it off, it was washed and cleaned inside and out. When I picked it up, I started crying because there was overspray of product all over outside. On the inside it took us 4 hours to clean it before we could move back into it. Did quite a bit of walking around checking out the campers. This is one of the very few places in AZ that you can find more than 2-3 truck campers. They seem to focus on truck campers and bumper pulls. We like wandering without sales people chasing us. It was pretty busy and we enjoyed walking through the indoor and outdoor areas. We did not find what we wanted. We noted the prices were fair. Some of the used models seemed a little overpriced, but that is what I have even noticed with private sellers in AZ. Jury is still out: I purchased a 2023 Expedition Aliner in Nov. 2022 from Tom's camperland in Mesa Az. Aliner requires anyone who has purchased their products to contact the dealership for any issues you might have. Well I had a few and I'm still waiting for Tom's camperland to get all the warrantee authority to fix the issues. A warped outside wall around the water heater due to poor venting, caulking issues, struts that break and a few other items. Now for Aliner: They started out willing to listen to my complaints and admitting that they had similar issues (warped wall) with other units. But again, I have to deal with the dealership. I've kept Aliner's service manager (Kevin Carmean) in the loop with all correspondence between myself and Tom's camperland but now I have not heard back from Aliner to know if they have even been in touch with the dealership. I paid cash for this unit and not a happy camper. I would think that Aliner's reputation is worth keeping the dealerships on their toes with warranty issues and Aliner's ability to keep in touch with its customers. The fix for the warped wall? The level of incompetence at this place is unreal. We bought a truck cap and rack from this place for our rooftop tent. We went to go for our appointment only to find out that it was never actually scheduled and they forgot to put us on the schedule so that was the first mishap. Went to get It installed and we got there and the rack was back ordered. They did not tell us this. So now we had a rooftop tent and a rack. They offered to switch to yakama brand for our RSI cap , brought it in Saturday only for them to tell us that the rack is not compatible with the cap.... We were given an option to have it drilled into the cap so we picked that option. We had the rooftop tent stored at Tom camper land as it did not fit in the bed of our truck and we could not continue to use our truck so they offered to keep the cap, install the rack and put the tent on for us and then we would return once it's ready. When I got there for install, I asked to inspect the cap first. The install tech showed me a USED cap with windows that would not open. Tech said they don't repair/replace the window tracks on Leer caps. The sales rep that handled the sale was off that day, then had to wait for them to refund my deposit. Wasted over 2 hours on install date, not to mention all the rest of the time involved. They made no apology for their "mistake" and made no attempt to rectify. read more

We bought a new Nucamp Tab 320 trailer here. Their prices was good which is why I didn't give a one star rating. However, the New trailer was missing some items to make it work properly, the seats were stained, the trailer was dirty, and the battery they sold us died within a year. The parts we needed were cheap, and they explained what we needed to get which was fine, but clearly no one really checked to inspect the trailer before selling it. Worse, when we told Gabe at the time of purchase, that the seats were stained, he said he can't clean them because the cleaning chemicals would make them worse! In the end we got new seats from Nucamp. Recently the battery we bought from Tom's Camperland died. it was under warranty. I emailed the manager Allen and he sent me to Gabe. Gabe told me the repair dealers (whether they are Nucamp dealers specifically or not, ) should know how to send the paperwork to Nucamp. Our dealer got the replacement warranty battery for no charge but wanted us to pay him up front for diagnostics, labor, etc, and then get reimbursed afterward. We sent the paperwork to Nucamp, following Gabe's directions, and Nucamp covered part of it- the parts not related specifically to replacing the battery. Nucamp emailed me that the charges for replacing the battery is the responsibility of the dealer who sold us the batteries. When I sent Toms the invoice, they ignored my email. Then when I called and asked for Allen or Gabe, I got everyone but Allen or Gabe. Jason spoke to me and said he'd speak to them. Then Brent called me and just said they don't cover battery labor costs for warranty batteries. I asked why Allen and Gabe had not said this in our many emails about the topic and he just repeated that they won't cover it. So, if they can pass the bill onto Nucamp, like ultimately was the case for the seats, or the other trailer work, they are very helpful. If suddenly they are liable for something, like cleaning stained seats, or a dirty trailer or missing parts -problems that they missed due to not properly checking the trailer before giving you your new trailer), they try to skip away. When it comes to honoring the warranty of their battery sale, they avoid telling you they won't cover things before you pay for the repairs, ignore you when you need them, and refuse to pay when you call to follow up. DISAPPOINTED!! I purchased a 2014 Lance 1181 truck camper on March 29, 2022 at the Tucson store. Was told on April 7th by Jake(sales manager) that they messed up and it wasn't ready for delivery on April 9. After patiently waiting all day, 8am til 5:30p, they told me that it was still not done. No real walk through, I still don't know how to do anything on it. Was told that the Mesa store set me up for repairs and full PDI(pre delivery inspection) and a complete walk through. No luck, Jake nor Ryan(general manager of Tucson) talked to the Mesa store about this. Now going onto week 5 still nothing has been done or set up to be done. Love sleeping in the heat, no a/c. I have had another great experience at toms . We had a couple hickups but the guys at toms camperland in mesa stepped up to the plate and got us taken care of . This has been a very large purchase and with the few minor problems we had with the unit getting the kinks worked out . From the initial contact I had with Mr. Allen Greeley at Tom's Camperland - Mesa, AZ location, it has been nothing but impeccable!!!! I cannot compliment enough the exceptional service Allen gave to my family and I during our adventure of purchasing our very first travel trailerS! Yes, that "S" in trailerS is meant to be capitalized because not only did my husband and I purchase a inTech Sol Horizon but so did my brother and sister inlaw! When we first researched this specific trailer, there was only one dealership in Southern California offering this brand of trailer. That left for very little negotiation on our side. Upon reaching out to Allen at Tom's Camperland, his interest went beyond just selling us a travel trailer. He took personal interest in WHY we wanted this specific trailer and he genuinely wanted to make sure we were making the proper selections on the accessories and upgrades. His insight to what was available and what was in store for the 2020 models was a great relief for us as this was our first travel trailer. As for pricing, I called all three dealerships that were noted on the inTech website as selling/offering their product. Allen made it easy to select Tom's Camperland beyond the other two available. Yes, pricing was a factor, especially since we had to drive almost six hours to pick our trailer up but the service provided by Allen was just EXCEPTIONAL! Upon arriving to pick up our trailer, we were greeted immediately by other associates. Sincere and truly welcoming greetings. We were offered waters - which may not seem much to others but little touches such as offering waters and snacks does go a long way in my book. Allen was just as excited for us to see our trailers as we were! The one on one informational session we had with Don was not only informative but entertaining as well. He (Don) did not rush through the orientation session at all. He answered every question we had and believe me, when it's 4 people against 1, well, there were a lot of questions. He even allowed me to video tape the session just so we could remember all the different features he was showing us on and in our trailers! After the orientation was completed, he even helped us connect our trailers to each of our respective vehicles and made sure to remind us to not hesitate if we had any additional questions and/or concerns. He would be there to help us get an answer if he didn't already have one for us! Both Don and Allen reassured us that we would not be sorry with our selection and even went so far as to recommend a close enough KoA to spend the night at just so we had that added reassurance of testing each of our trailers out over night before driving back to California. And indeed, they were right. We LOVE our trailers. And in closing, we do NOT regret one moment doing that 6 hour drive vs. the 1 hour drive to the closer establishment. There's not even a comparison on the service provided by Tom's Camperland! So in closing, if you're looking for a place that will give you personal service, answer all sorts of questions and never putting pressure sales tactics, this is the place to go. I purchased a camper shell for my bed. When it was installed and turned over to me, it had wax in multiple spots. After getting home I removed all the wax. It took 10-15 minutes. After cleaning the wax off, I realized all the "white" spots were not wax. Some of what I was seeing was chipped paint around the window. No big deal, I assumed they would make it right, with no problems or questions asked. My original salesman, Robert, looked at it. Told me all they could do was touch up paint. I told him I could have done that at home and saved the gas. He was not helpful, after all, why would he be? He already got his commission from the sale, right?!?!? So, the manager insisted on touch up paint. The touch up could have looked better if a teenage girl fixed it with nail polish. Completely unprofessional. After arguing with the manager to get something off the cost of the shell, seeing as my brand new shell was damaged, he offered me a whole 25 dollars. I said no. At that point ( almost an hour into the debate) he admitted they could replace the window on warranty. I never imagined Toms camperland would put up such a big fight about something under warranty. So, I forewent the 25 dollars, in lieu of a new window. I have no idea why they wasted my time and were dishonestly telling me touch up paint was their only solution. If they had been honest, and told me window replacement was an option right from the start, my experience would have been more satisfactory. I would have only been upset about the wax they were too lazy to sell. Lazy and dishonest are a combination of two traits that will steer me to a different dealer in the future. I thought my salesmen was the majority of the problem here. Upon further reflection, I believe multiple staff members here would be top sellers in George Costanza's jerk store. Tom's Camperland of Mesa (Mesa, Arizona) My wife and I purchased a new 2022 Braxton Creek Free Solo OG teardrop from the Tom's Mesa location and took delivery of it on 15 July 2022. My beef is with the complete lack of any communications between this RV Dealership Staff, our Salesman and Tom's Service Department to my wife and I AFTER the Sale!! Prior to our teardrop delivery date on 15 July, we made a Service Appointment through Tom's Camperland Service Department (while we signed final paperwork on delivery day) to simply add two additional wires required to our existing trailer wiring harness on our vehicle for our new teardrop. The Service Appointment was scheduled for 9 AM on 15 July 2022. Our tow vehicle still sat where I parked it at 9 AM at 4 PM that afternoon!! It had not been touched nor moved to work on it!! My Point of Contact (POC) was our Salesman. He was always aloof, elusive and after wife and I had waited for hours, would never come by Customer Waiting area to update us...UNLESS I had him paged by the Front Receptionist!! Tom's Camperland Service Department finally completed the work by 6 PM that afternoon. Do Not Purchase from this Unprofessional, Inept, Customer Time-Wasting RV Dealership!!! My husband and I bought a brand new 2022 Lance 2285 trailer here. We took it for a shake down trip to Flagstaff over the weekend and it performed excellent. It was the best performing trailer yet. We have owned a 2015 Forest River 36ckts and a 2021 Airstream Classic RBQ. Spent just over $6000 on a shell for a ram crew cab. Once it was installed, which took 2 1/2 hours, the installer showed me the paint damage on the side of the shell. He assured me multiple times that I would get a phone call the very next day to schedule some paint repairs by a mobile company. It's been three days and I still haven't heard a word from this company. I will contact ARE: who are the manufactures of the shell to lodge a complaint and a warranty claim and I'll report back how that goes. I would urge any purchaser not to except delivery if the shell is damaged as the promise of next day response will never materialize. read more

It's unfortunate that I just read poor review of this place, because our experience was totally the opposite. My husband had been working with the dealer via email's and phone calls on a Little Guy trailer we were interested in on their lot. We live in Southern California. The right numbers came up where we were ready to make a purchase. With check in hand we drove out to AZ, not knowing if we were going to get what we saw and read on the ad. We were greeted by the employee my husband was dealing with. Before we were, we had saw the Little Guy and did our own walk around inspection and had a couple of questions on some areas. But we got some reassurance from the manufacturing (via text) that all was OK after sending photos of our concerns. If I could title this experience, it would be "Nightmare on Tom Street" We bought a Alpine 5th wheel (used), unseen, and online from Tom's Camperland in Mesa, AZ. We paid up front and in full. Originally told it would be a 2 week turnaround. At the 2 week mark, WE had to call to get the status and then we were told it was not ready and they would need another 2 weeks, but they said they would arrange to have it delivered to us in Las Vegas. The day before it was set to be delivered, we got a call from Robert (salesman) that it was still not ready because of parts delays. Let me just say, they never once initiated a call to us. WE always had to call them to get any sort of update. No matter who we spoke with, they would point the finger at another department. No one would take any responsibility. Due to our frustration with this experience, my husband (who owns his own business) and I, took a day off, to drive to Mesa, AZ from Las Vegas, and, when we got there, they were surprised to see us and, yet again, the trailer was still not ready. We stayed the entire day at their shady ass dealership (8 hours) so they could address the myriad of repairs they said needed to be done. We dealt with Robert and the service manager (can't remember his name, but he was very patronizing, talks a great game but doesn't deliver, and is a complete douche). Once they claimed the repairs were done and the trailer was ready, we took possession of it and went on our way. When we finally got the trailer home in Las Vegas and began inspecting, we noticed the repairs they claimed they had done, were in fact not done. Additionally, we found more issues, so we took it to a local shop to have them fixed. For example, the hot water heater wasn't even wired or hooked up and appeared to have a hole in it. The entire roof needed to be redone/recoated, which they claimed to have done, but never did. Multiple wiring issues. Several thousand dollars later, we finally have the trailer we should have received from Tom's Camperland. This has been a 7 month ordeal. While I understand I purchased a used trailer, they sold it us under false pretenses and didn't do what they claimed they would do as part of the sale of the trailer. A classic bait and switch. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. I would absolutely NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

Tom's Camperland has a fantastic inventory, clean facility, and friendly staff. My wife and I drove from Tucson last Saturday to browse their inventory. We were greeted and made welcome immediately. There was zero pressure from staff as we wandered the lot and the huge warehouse. When we had questions about a specific unit, we were provided the information we needed in a friendly way. We found the unit we were really interested in and made a deal to return the following Saturday (today) with our trade-in. All of the paperwork was prepared through the week, so when we arrived today with our trade-in, the transaction was super smooth and fast. We couldn't have asked for a better deal, or a better experience overall. Tom's was recommended to me by a friend who purchased from there last year. I will definitely be recommending Tom's to my other friends. read more

New Forest River Cherokee DL39. The entire experience was horrible, do yourself a favor and read other reviews showing similar experiences. Almost 30 days after agreeing to price and $1,433.00 inspection Andy produced a list of about 10 minor issues so I wired payment. When the unit arrived, it was clear Tom's Camperland had not completed the list we agreed to. This was just the beginning of many problems unfortunately. The new unit arrived with blue tape in many areas identifying these defects and showing work was not done. Before opening the unit noticed passenger side skirt failing. The driver pointed out the master door jamb hammered so door can open (damaged and not operating properly). Slide causing exterior paneling to rip from unit and big gap on top outside this is even more evident from interior over 1" out in less then 24" (big problem) There are stains from hands and fillers all over the ceiling and bathroom. Extensive list of black cabinet imperfections (larger items and not reported). Construction adhesive on bathroom sink. All 3 slides leak!!!! Master exterior door hammer repaired and does not operate properly Carpet has many stains Power under sink loose Oven inoperable Drive sound system Bluetooth not functioning... Max contacted me originally after my first online inquiry. He was polite, direct, helpful and HONEST. From the first step to the final step in signing the papers, everyone was a pleasure to work with. Justin helped us pick out some items in their store. He was also extremely helpful and straightforward. We traveled six hours to pick up our trailer and they did not disappoint.
