I think she said her name was Trish. She was super friendly & helpful. They bring you chips & salsa right away. I also really liked that they bring you a carafe of water. Hubby ordered DosXX with a lime. I had the red sangria. Both were really good. Hubby got the street taco plate with brisket. It came with rice & beans. He loved the tacos. He said they were super tender, juicy & flavorful. Since I found out the potato tacos are more like mashed potatoes I have wanted to try them, so I got the combination #1. They were so good & full of potatoes. We both really liked the beans. The rice wasn't the best we've had, but it wasn't bad. I have been looking for our go to Mexican restaurant for a long time. Wife had an Amaretto Sour, which is made with Disaronno and she loves that drink, saying it's well balanced and she likes that they don't use the egg foam on top. She also ordered off the Crabby Hour menu some scallops on the half shell and some roasted brussels sprouts. This place knows how to roast spouts so that they are tender and toasted and not overdone. So yummy! The scallops are served with a light ponzu sauce drizzled over which complimented the tender scallops. Delicious! From the Restaurant Week menu, I chose the crab & Artichoke dip which we love and it isn't typically on their menu. It was so good and I had to ask for some extra toast points because there was so much dip! I also got the stripped bass, which was cooked to perfection although a smaller portion than the one you get from the regular menu. They do bass right! And for dessert, chose the Pumpkin Pot de Creme, which was my first taste of pumpkin for the season. Creamy and so good although I took off most of the whip cream because it was a lot. She disappeared before we could process the fact that "sit next to the indoor rainstorm" was apparently a normal seating option. My wife had to chase her down to ask the obvious question. "Could we maybe sit at a table that isn't leaking?" While she was gone, our server came over. I pointed to the puddle beside me and asked if we could move to the empty table in front of us. She looked puzzled and said, "No, that's where it's leaking." I pointed back to the puddle literally touching our table. We were apparently trapped in competing realities. Eventually the manager came over, and asking to move to a dry table was treated like a wildly unreasonable request. After a long pause she said, "I guess we could move you over there. Would that be okay?" My response was, "If it's dry, we'll take it." Unfortunately, the service never recovered. The nightly special was introduced with, "We have trout." That was the entire presentation. No description. No price. Just... trout. When it was time to order, we were greeted with a very enthusiastic, "What do you want?" The finale came when we asked for a box. The same manager returned with a tiny container and said, "I don't know if it'll fit. Do you think it will? I'm not good with Tupperware." I honestly thought Ashton Kutcher was about to jump out from behind a ficus. To top it all off, the portions were surprisingly small for the price, and charging $7 for bread felt like the final plot twist. I've had disappointing meals before. I've had mediocre service before.
