Tiramisu The…read moretiramisu had more defined layers, with the ladyfingers being more coffee filled compared to its competitors. The cream has actual flavor and is very sweet, it mixed with the strength of the ladyfingers giving it a perfect balance of flavors and for me is the pinnacle of tiramisu. The ladyfingers at the bottom have a very moist texture which is preferable personally when eating tiramisu. There is a fine chocolate syrup drizzled on top for presentation but honestly it adds just hint of sweetness that works heavenly. 9.5/10 Only $8

A small, quaint, European like brunch spot! The staff were very polite and helpful. Appreciated…read morethat they helped remake our espresso verte without sweetener because we thought it was too sweet for us. The food itself was a pretty large portion! I really liked the side of cottage cheese (plus honey and raspberry). The only con is that the italian meats used in the crepes or paninis we ordered were just reallllyyy salty. I know that italian meats are cured and rely on salt, but this was a lot saltier than I've had. I almost preferred them adding less prosciutto to my crepe because the salt was a bit overwhelming. Maybe just a personal preference thing, but their pesto sauce has an emphasis on the basil leaves rather than pine nuts and garlic IMO, which I would've preferred. Aside from that, we enjoyed sitting outside bird watching in the "bird sanctuary" . They also provide nice water cups outside for you to refill. Parking is plenty right outside.

This hidden gem is in a little strip shopping center, across Bristol Street from the Ayers Hotel,…read moretucked between a gas station and a dry cleaners and a nail salon. Anyway, it was worth seeking out. Our party of 5 swamped the poor guy working there. We ordered a lot of food, like a double brunch, because we were hitting the road for a long drive back to Northern California. So this one French guy (Yes, he really is French. He moved to Orange County from Paris, hence the name.) This French guy had to make us a couple of sandwiches, an omlette, and about 7 crepes. I felt sorry for him when I found out he was making the crepes one at a time and bringing them out as soon as each one was ready. I think he said his help has Mondays off. These crepes are like the best ever. We didn't want to tell him to stop because every one he brought out was absolutely fabulous. I'm pretty sure it was 7 crepes because we started with 4, and then my daughters and niece asked him to make 3 more. It was a good thing we weren't rushed for time. This is one spot we will definitely return to. We also learned that he is available and does crepes for corporate events. He brings his equipment and sets up in whatever location you want. That would make for a fun company event.

Orange Paris Cafe, is a French eatery in a small strip area that houses a few other food outlets…read moreand has a gas station just outside of it. It is a unique concept and the place has a following. The dining area is small, but cozy and has a bistro feel, pictures of Paris adorn the walls (the restroom too) and there is French music to blend well with the simple ambiance. We ordered several items. First my Americano coffee (made with Italian espresso), was only good for a few sips, just too sweet for me. Second, the Quiche Maison (traditional French recipe, eggs, tomato, spinach, cheddar cheese). While this pie slice was soft and tasty, it was thin and could have easily passed off for pizza. What it lacked was the usual thickness one sees in a quiche slice, gives it body and also embeds the rich flavor of eggs and cream. Then came the crepes. The tomato and bacon was well received, as was the strawberry crepe. In this department, the crown goes to Crepe Suzette (orange syrup, orange zest, creme anglaise and whipped cream). It had optimum softness, the right amount of sweetness, chew and yes, butter. Truly a heavenly treat for the taste buds. Service is very slow, but rewarding. So if you are not in a hurry and are in the mood for fresh French brunch items, give this place a visit.

I had the Spicy Red Chilaquiles, not spicy by my standards but delicious and well presented. I was more shocked and surprised that the conchas we were brought were warm and fresh! That was probably our highlight. Would come back to try other dishes.

Before I continue, I think it's important to note that I have a Culinary Degree and I have worked in restaurants both FOH and BOH. Our server was attentive, but nothing over the top. The silverware that was on the table were only forks. Where were the butter knives? The spicy green sauce was not spicy, at all. The Cholula was spicier by a mile. The food was bland. Nothing special about it. Paying $23 for a breakfast plate should either be a huge plate of mediocre food or a small plate of semi-mind blowing food. Neither was the case. It was a small plate of mediocre food. What really blows my mind is most people that have dined at this restaurant actually enjoyed the food. I think Black Bear Diner, Denny's, and Norms is better, and I'm not much of a fan of any of those restaurants. I'm assuming all of the Loaded Cafe locations are very similar, therefore I will never go back to any Loaded Cafes.
