    Iced Spanish Latte
    Michelle M.

Got here mid afternoon on Friday and was hoping to nab a table inside to study at, but it was very busy. Limited indoor seating, but ample tables outside (no outlets outside, and didn't get a good look at whether there were many inside). I wouldn't bank on finding an open table. However, the coffee I ordered was great! I got the iced Spanish Latte with oat milk and really enjoyed the balance of sweet and rich. I'd get coffee here again!

5 stars for the fact that they have walnut milk!!!!! jk but definitely helped get 5 stars. i make my own latttes at home with walnut milk but was in the area craving coffee. so glad i came to blk dot! the guy that took my order was really nice, i told him it was my first time there and he gave me tons of good recommendations. i went with a spanish latte with walnut milk and it was delicious! wish there were locations closer to my house.

Got to try the Iced Thai Pumpkin Spice Latte. Its good not great. Plenty sweet which I like but it was very thick like I was drinking egg nogg. Bit pricy that only came in a regular size. The drink needs to be more balanced and lighter. Service friendly.

My first time trying Vietnamese coffee and I loved it. It was rich in flavor and loaded with caffeine... So yes, a good choice if you want to wake up or keep awake for a while. Modern and Cute interior with neutral tones. Bright room with a few seats inside but lots of nice outdoor places to sit right next to the store. The wait was a bit long - definitely longer than the wait time in most major coffee chains ; maybe it's due to their process? I saw a good number of staff working and they all seemed busy so not sure why. But the nice coffee was worth the wait; however, you might need to take that into consideration if you are in a rush.

Great Blk Dot located nestled in between Mendocino Farms and Handel's ice cream at the Tustin Marketplace. The open seating and space in front of the store makes an ideal kid friendly meet-up spot. Came on a Wednesday at 10:30am and it was quit busy with all indoor seating taken. Got the Brekkie Bowl with sausage and Peach Lychee Black Tea, pretty tasty and refreshing.

I'm a fan of strong Vietnamese coffee and I wanted to like this place. However, the VTM coffee I got was too sweet even after letting the ice melt and dilute it a bit.

Mendocino next door spoiled me with top notch customer service. As for Blk Dot- I only got "pick up"? Then staff handed me my drinks and that's it. No hello no bye! I wanted to try Mint Chocolate VTM but it was not as great. I suggest sticking to original VTM coffee. Mint Chocolate was smooth tasting but has too many flavors. I'm glad to see their condense milk does not contain seed oil. I'm impressed with their clean restroom and store was organized. Staff was happily chit chatting among each other on an early Sunday morning but no greetings whatsoever to customer walking in or picking up orders. There are seatings outside but this place gets packed with parking and seating during weekend-Always busy especially around lunch time and big events.

I stopped by BLK Dot Coffee in Irvine and overall had a pretty good experience. BLK Dot Coffee serves Vietnamese iced coffee which I found out here --rich, bold, coffee , though it might be a bit sweet if you're not used to it but you can change the sweetness level!! The menu has some other non coffee options, which is nice if you want to try something beyond a basic latte. The shop itself has a clean, modern vibe, but seating is somewhat limited and it gets busy fast, especially during peak hours. Service was efficient, though not particularly warm--it felt more like a grab-and-go kind of place. We got our drinks, headed outside and sat on the lawn. :)) The merchandise's are cute -- check it out.

After Costco, I was craving an iced coffee, so we went to Blk Dot Coffee. I was so happy we did because our drinks were so good. My husband got the Iced Vanilla Maplenut Latte and I got the Oat Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso. The service was great and the young lady who took my order was helpful and friendly. The inside was lively. I wanted to try their Tiramisu Einspanner. Next time.

Uji Matcha Einspänner and VTM Einspänner

We were out shopping for our little one and decided to stop by for some matcha and coffee. They had a self-order kiosk, but it was down at the time, so we ended up ordering at the counter instead. I got the Uji Matcha Einspänner, which I'd rate about a 6/10. The matcha flavor was definitely there, and I liked that it wasn't overly sweet, but it didn't really wow me. I was hoping for a creamier texture, and while the cream foam was okay, it didn't elevate the drink much. My boyfriend ordered the VTM Einspänner and really enjoyed it. He said it tasted great, though definitely on the sweeter side. We both swapped our milk for oat, and he added cold foam on top, which they initially forgot--but they fixed it once we let them know. We also tried the guava cream cheese danish, but it wasn't our favorite. The filling didn't really hit for me, and the pastry itself wasn't anything special either. Overall, it was an okay stop--some good, some just average.

    Dulce LVTM Latte

Dulce LVTM Latte! Sweet with a light kick of Vietnamese coffee, and wonderful hospitality by Sarahi and the team. Airy and chill atmosphere in the store to get some reading in. Thank you!!!

Stopped by while at Irvine Spectrum and tried their Mango Matcha. You order at a kiosk which can be more efficient but even when I chose easy ice my drink was 3/4 full of ice. So perhaps it would have been best to speak to a person or maybe the staff do not care what modifications are placed and are just grinding out drinks to keep with the pace. Doesn't feel like a coffee shop where you can grab a nice cup of joe and be greeted but more like an order-to-go coffee shop. The matcha had a good flavor despite the mountain of ice that made it difficult for me to mix the mango on the bottom.

Came to this place twice. Got Iced LVTM both times. First time very good taste, good balance of the flavor. Second time extremely sweet to the point feels a little disgusting to drink. Ended up throwing the whole cup away after couple sips.

    Is outdoor seating still available?

Yes. There are plenty of seats and tables.

Do they allow in door seating?

No indoor seating, but there's outdoor seating at that location.

Does anybody know the caffeine content in their decaf iced coffee? I loved it and it tasted pretty strong so it kind of got me thinking lol?

The strength of the flavor of coffee does not indicate caffeine content. Though I'm not sure the exact amount of caffeine left in their decaf, it is very little by the standard used to determine decaf drinks.

Does this place allow dogs on the inside, outside, or both? How clean are floors inside & outside? Thank ;)

The place is very clean but like any place that serves food, you cannot have your dog inside; it's the law. There's plenty of outside seating where dogs are allowed that's shared with the other eateries though.

Poached Kitchen is a place we go 3-5 times per week. The…read moreservice is always excellent with lots of employees who really care about the guests and the quality of their food and satisfaction. The ambiance - at times it is very busy like for breakfast on the weekends but they have their process well-organized and it goes very quickly even when crowded. We recently started coming for lunch - they have a lunch menu and are open until 2pm. I am known on YELP for providing critical but hopefully helpful comments. Here are mine for this week. CHICKEN SANDWICH - made just the way a real chicken sandwich should be made with fried chicken and cole slaw. The chicken is too thick and makes the sandwich very hard to eat. I know that the size of the chicken reflects the generosity of Poached Kitchen but in this case the ease of eating the sandwich needs to take precedent. and the cole slaw should be a vinegar-based slaw not a mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is too creamy and thick. The slaw needs to be less gooey and sticky to compliment the chicken. Good place to go where they're mastered this is R+D Kitchen in Newport Fashion Island....you can also get this same item prepared exactly the same way at Banderas in Corona del Mar - same master chef. And the fries need to be cooked in Tallow. Tru Foods does this and they set the standard for healthy food. SOURCING - you need to tell people where your eggs come from - in some places I've seen Vital Farms which is good Pasture Raised Eggs but that is not confirmed on your menu. Also for sourcing you mention Brant Farms on your menu for beef (it's spelled Brandt) but Brandt does not advertise grass-fed and finished beef and your menu is silent on this subject. Again you need to be specific about your sourcing. You can say "grass-fed and finished beef when available" to cover sourcing problems but you need to start sourcing from a pasture-raised beef supplier not a ranch that uses lots of mealy-mouthed words in their description of what they do. There are plenty of local California sources for grass-fed and finished beef including Diamond Ranch who operates BuyRanchDirect so you could take delivery in southern California. Hope the comments are helpful.

The waiters that served us at our actual table were not very friendly. I got the breakfast burrito with avocado instead of meat. Fortunately, this didn't add an extra charge (around $18 total). It was a good burrito but nothing really stood out. The tortilla was fresh and a good mix of firm but not too crispy and still chewy. The eggs were cooked enough with nothing too soft or runny, which is just how I like them. There was plenty of potato (maybe a little too much at points?) and they were fair with the avocado. The salsas added some kick but weren't too flavorful. I had heard a lot of good things about this place but wouldn't necessarily recommend it or be back, unfortunately

The brunch menu was limiting, with only a few egg dishes, sandwiches, and breads. The French toast and waffle were nearly $20 each despite the small portions and standard toppings. *French Toast: the worst item of the meal. The bread had no flavor or egginess and left a strange sandy mouthfeel. The interior was so dry that it soaked up all the moisture in my mouth. A poor showing for a classic French toast. *Waffle: the batter was slightly sweetened but felt too dense. The fruit was fresh, although nothing about the toppings or overall quality stood out. *Steak Frites: hanger steak topped with chimichurri and fries. It was supposed to come with bernaise sauce, but I did not receive any. The steak leaned closer to rare rather than the medium rare I asked for. However, it was still tender, and the chimichurri was vibrant and herbaceous. I wished more sauce had been applied, as the dish was a bit dry. The fries were decent, though I would have preferred more crunch. Given the long wait, I expected much more from the dishes in terms of flavor and execution. I was disappointed by how flavorless and dry everything was.
