My father stayed at this facility for approximately one month, and during that time it became clear that the staff lacked sufficient training and experience in managing patients with dementia-related behaviors, particularly sundown syndrome. On one occasion, I received a phone call at 1:00 a.m. asking me to come to the facility because my father was awake, talking, and bothering the nursing staff. About two weeks later, I received another call at 5:00 a.m. with the same request. During that call, I was told that if I did not come in, they would transfer my father to another facility. As a family member, I understand that caring for dementia patients can be challenging, but these behaviors are common symptoms of the disease and should be expected in a facility that accepts patients with dementia and Alzheimer's. It was concerning to feel pressured to come in during the middle of the night because the staff could not adequately manage his condition. My disappointment continued after my father's discharge. The discharge coordinator, Ms. Wang, informed us that she would submit the paperwork to begin the IHSS (In-Home Supportive Services) application process on our behalf and told us we should receive documentation within one to one-and-a-half weeks. After 1.5 weeks passed without receiving anything, I contacted her and was told she would look into it. When another 1.5 weeks went by with no update, I personally visited the IHSS office to check on the status of my father's application. To my shock, I was informed that no application had ever been started. As a result, we lost three valuable weeks waiting for a process that had never been initiated. Had we been told the truth from the beginning, I could have submitted the application myself and avoided the delay. Families caring for elderly loved ones already have enough stress without being given inaccurate information that affects important support services. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing. The facility demonstrated a lack of preparedness for dementia patients and failed to follow through on important discharge-related responsibilities. I hope management takes steps to improve staff training and communication so that other families do not experience similar issues.

There are only a few staff that are considerate and care. Staff Constantly ignore us and don't listen to orders. There has been more than one occasion that we have arrived and My family member has not been changed. There is no accountability, the morning shift blames the night shift, or the weekend shift. The staff and facility do not provide good care to people recovering there. If your going to work here have a heart and do your job. Provide more education to your staff or hire staff that knows what they are doing

All the therapists were knowledgeable and very patient. The massage that they did was crucial and helpful as part of the healing journey.
