It took some time but it is all worthwhile because it is for my health. Everyone in the office, from administrative staff to the therapists, was very friendly and helpful. All the therapists were knowledgeable and very patient. The massage that they did was crucial and helpful as part of the healing journey. I had experience in a couple of other places before I came to B&C, and B&C has been the best & would wholeheartedly recommend this facility.

Had about 6 sessions and every session he showed the same diligence in his assessments. He would take videos of my run form, give feedback and explain why certain movements can cause muscles strain/ discomfort! I had persistent knee pain that would not go away. I've tried massage, acupuncture, rest, stretching but nothing would resolve the issue. After 2 sessions with Jeffery, I started noticing significant improvement with pain relief and run performance. Every session Jeffery would build on the exercise and send videos/training schedule on an app. The app was very helpful, with daily reminders for exercises and help me adhere to my rehab goals. I've been pain free after my 6 session and would likely return for sessions to help with performances /strengthening exercises

I was referred to Dr. Jeffery Su by my partner, who found him via Yelp. I decided to go with Dr. Su…read moreafter researching all of my physical therapist options through my health insurance and found that they all had terrible Yelp reviews. The reason my partner liked Dr. Su was because he actually tries to help you without roping you into seeing him multiple times just to get money out of you, which I found to be very true - he was able to fix me in just 3 sessions. Paying the $165 per session out of pocket (still FSA/HSA eligible though), was well worth the money in my opinion because I was desperate to get better from my pickleball injury and get back to playing ASAP. Before coming to Dr. Su, I was trying to diagnose myself with ChatGPT and was following their prescribed regimen to heal myself. I wish I had gone to Dr. Su earlier because he was able to diagnose my issue in the first session and give me actionable strengthening exercises (he posts all the assigned exercises, with instructional videos, on the PtEverywhere App) to provide me with some immediate relief from the pain. Dr. Su said that I had strained my (sacrotuberous) ligament, which ChatGPT said would take 4-6 weeks to heal. After religiously doing my strengthening exercises for 4 weeks, I found that my pain was low enough to where Dr. Su approved my slow return to Pickleball and Aerial Silks (he's incredibly responsive via text). I found that as I would play, the same right side was continuing to give me trouble. So I went back to see him a 2nd time. At this session he was able to diagnose that my right hip was super tight and was impeding my recovery - he wasn't able to discover that during the first session because I was in so much pain that he was only focused on fixing that first. He used a strap to pull on my right hip to gain some mobility back, but it barely moved. The next couple of days I was incredibly sore but continued to religiously complete my newly assigned strengthening exercises along with foam rolling (if he forgets to posts the exercises on the app, just text him and he'll post them right away). Whatever he did to me, worked because by the 3rd day, my pain was gone! That along with the foam rolling was probably exactly what I needed too because I was able to easily move into my right front split without the tightness I had been experiencing for years! My follow-up appointment was a week and a half later with Dr. Su and I had no pain to report to him. He tested my right hip again and was able to finally get the head of my right femur to actually "bounce"/move normally during this 3rd session. He taught me some lifetime maintenance and strengthening exercises for my overall health and longevity for playing pickleball, which he posted on the app. He also sent me some links to adjustable home weights to help me save space in my apartment. I generally have trouble sticking to self-guided workouts but Dr. Su simplified them to just 25 minutes of exercises, twice a week. Hey - if that's all I need to keep playing pickleball without injury for the rest of my life, I'm sold. Sign me up!

It's Not Easy by the FIVE FOR FIGHTING, and I literally rolled out of bed and began with my yoga stretches and poses. I continued disrobing and entered the shower and began scrub-bing, and then I grabbed my Sonicare and dollop-ed toothpaste on and began scrub-bing my teeth and tongue Next, I scrub my scalp and turn on my rain shower and rinse. I reach out and grab my bathsheet 800 gram (Water Works) and towel off and then reach for my bathrobe 800gram Turkish Cotton (Water Works) and slip on my slippers (ugg). I enter my bedroom and enter my closet and begin selecting something comfortable but warm for this mornings session of physical therapy with Brian. I thumbed thru my long-sleeved tee's and choose a vintage striped tee in kelly green and royal blue.(polo circa 2012) and then oversized Chino shorts with draw string and button and zipper in weathered navy (polo circa 2010) and my full zip tennis sweat shirt in white and Wimbledon green (polo circa 2009) and my trusty pair of Sperrys in weathered navy. I walk into the kitchen and prepare a cup of hot tea with organic honey and a slice of cinnamon loaf and return to the bedroom, and take my prescriptions. I'm heading to San Gabriel Valley Physical Therapy about 8:20am. and find myself running upstairs towards the studio. This morning, I work with Brian and discover a new sense of recovery. I'm working through my stretches and poses, and then.... oh joy! Traction! I love me some traction ! I place in my ear buds and turn on some instrumentals and close my eyes and began to drift. My session was completed and I head up to the counter and check if my referrals have been sent. Sadly they have yet to be sent and so I thank everyone and I am told that I would be notified and wished well.

You may leave feeling better but it doesn't last. I went into SGV Phys Therapy with back pain and a limp. Three appointments with Ivy and I felt a little better. But the main thing is I left with a recipe of exercises and a schedule for which to do, how often, how much. Following the instructions and my back is better than it's been in years.

My footpain is an old broken foot injury that flares up seasonally. I worked with Dr. Kimmi and Dr. Cheri on building strength and with shockwave therapy. My foot responded very well to their protocol and I was able to continue on to run a Disney half marathon as well as the Altadena to Palisades Ultramarathon Relay. I continued to work with Dr. Cheri and Dr. Kelli during my pregnancy for strength and prenatal chiropractic care, which helped immensely to address my aches, pains, and changing body. Needless to say, I am a huge Healthfit advocate to care for your body- the entire team of Drs. are fantastic. They are constantly upgrading their knowledge, equipment, and you will not go wrong with any of them. The front desk group is hilarious, friendly, and easy to work with. I highly recommend giving them a call to see what they can do for you. My only regret was not seeing them sooner.
