While a tad more expensive than your average LA fitness or 24-hour fitness, they have plenty of lifting gear and equipment enough for anyone to use. The membership is pay as you go, so you pay every week/month at a time. They have cheaper alternatives like pay for 1 day or week if you just want to try it. Plus the last Friday of the month is only $5 for the day. Parking lot is small, and at peak hours (around 5-7pm) it does get crowded, and you may need to end up street parking. Also in the mornings, the door is open to members, but I've walked in a few times without anyone at the front desk checking me in. Might be some security concerns there, but ultimately, the community that comes to this gym is tight knit and knows proper gym etiquette, and the staff knows how to provide for their members. I had tried to lose weight since COVID and was 40 lbs overweight and losing mobility. I had gym anxiety and it was hard for me to leave the house but I really needed to get healthy. I am older and when I walked into Mission Fitness I was really nervous but trusted my trainer that this is the place to be. He was right. The staff here is amazing. The members are in my opinion very serious about their workouts and it is a welcoming environment. Sometimes I have an awkward time of it trying to adjust a machine and I am learning something new all of the time but the staff is always helpful. Thank you Devin, you have helped me out a few times and I appreciate it. I come here 4 days a week and I look forward to working out here. I am over having any type of anxiety and I have lost 20 lbs. This gym is great and I highly recommend it!

Eric goes far above and beyond in his support: - He's incredibly dedicated. His attention to detail, check-ins, and support go far beyond any trainer I've worked with. - He's focused on real, lasting change, not quick fixes. Mindset is just as important as movement. - He's tough (in the best way!): he challenges you so you can discover strength you didn't know you had. Eric believed in me before I did. That kind of support is rare - and life-changing. Working with him has been one of the best decisions (and investments!) I've ever made. I'm so grateful to have found Eric! He changed my life.

Life is all about pushing limits (even into your 70's/80's and beyond) and I've been super impressed with Eric's care, motivation and individually crafted plans for each of them. Eric has excellent communication skills and it is apparent that he truly enjoys what he does.

There was only one coach, and I had no partner. The signs were abbreviated and gave no hint as to what each station was about. And the coach doesn't care at all about who you are or what state your body is in. When you tell them you can't do a certain exercise properly due to chronic conditions, and you need time they make you feel like crap. Sometimes I waited at a station the whole time because I couldn't remember what I was supposed to do there, but by the time a coach is able to help, time's already up. Also, the people attending are rude. They were in the hallway talking smack about how they hate new people. Any motivated to go was drained and to didn't go back to finish my trial. Getting motivated to work out is hard enough without the toxic environment and lack of support.

The location is on the smaller side and they were really busy on the Friday evening I came. The locker room was on the smaller side. One of the faucets in the women's restrooms were broken. Speaking of broken, the first treadmill I stepped onto was broken too. I went to a different one and the digital display was distorted. Another machine I went on had the same issue. The cardio machines here also do not have the individual tv screens. The gym has a few large shared screens across the gym. I also feel like they don't have as many cleaning stations as other Planet Fitness locations. Also this location made it complicated to sign up for the black card perks, like my favorite hydromassage. To make it more disappointing, it only allowed for 5 minutes, unlike other locations that allow 10 minutes. When I arrived at the machine it already started before I pressed the button, so the disappointment continues. I would come back if I'm nearby and need to get in a workout, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come to this location.

I've now been training with Kiara for eight months, and the difference is undeniable. I've always been athletic, but I lacked proper form and structure. Kiara changed that completely. Her attention to detail, especially around form and safety, is next-level. She doesn't cut corners, and it shows in real results. As a postpartum mom of two back-to-back pregnancies, I came in needing more than just workouts--I needed guidance, accountability, and someone who understood how to rebuild strength the right way. Kiara delivered. I've not only returned to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I've also regained strength, confidence, and proper form that I never had before. What sets Kiara apart is her consistency and professionalism. She is communicative, highly motivating, and genuinely invested in her clients' progress. I pay for the premium because I work in Boyle Heights but live in the South Bay so I like the option of going to multiple places depending on traffic and my mood. I also travel often and I have seen UFC in multiple countries and I'm excited to train in them. This location is new so of course the machines are well kept and fresh. For the love of g0d everyone, clean your stations! Every time I'm working out I do see cleaning staff vacuuming but you're responsible for the sweat dripping off (or not off) you. I'm the type of gym person who cleans the machine before and after use or even the slightest touch and I think that will keep the machines well kept. This UFC is HUMUNGOUS! Three stories with the top being cardio forwardp; the middle with the machines for legs, hiit, and arms, and ufc ring; the bottom having the punching bag room with classes with additional glute machines and free weights. While it could get crowded after 4pm, I didn't find it difficult to find an alternative machine to work on any workout. I do wish the machines were more strategically placed , ie., all the leg machines on one floor, all upperbody on another, etc. The facilities are absolutely clean and I love the option of the recovery room. Anything lower than 4 starts for this gym makes me question their gym experience,.

The clinic has a small gym upfront with treatment tables in the back. Super convenient location in Alhambra with a 4-hr free parking garage. B&C PT is extremely popular and books out weeks in advance. I had to wait ~3-4 weeks for my initial appt, and had to book all my subsequent appts following my first visit to secure dates/times. I work primarily with Ching Ly (the C of B&C lol) and he's super down to earth. He did a comprehensive exam of my neck, measured my neck movements with a goniometer, and confirmed if it was a joint or muscle issue. I've seen several PTs, but no one was as thorough as Ching in trying to figure out the root cause. My treatment plan is pretty straightforward - Managing neck pain with manual therapy, at-home workouts, and then more workouts to strengthen neck, shoulder, and back muscles. If I had to nitpick then it would be the super tedious process of booking upcoming appointments with the front desk receptionist. Nothing PT related. Highly recommend B&C PT! I hope to be free of this annoying pain by the end of my sessions.
