To be honest, acupuncture is my last line of defense and I'll do it as my last resort just because I hate needles, but the fact that I keep coming here to fix myself despite the aversion to needles is a testament to how GOOD Jenny is. If you're an athlete, come here. She will understand, as she's an athlete herself, as she was an elite powerlifter and martial artist. She, as a clinician just "gets it." which is so important as a clinician! I want to show the few times she has literally and figuratively saved my ass: My sciatica. I went on a road trip and it flared up so bad that I contemplated going to the ER. I couldn't even touch the skin around my glutes, it was so bad that I had numbness and tingling in the saddle area, injection of toradol didn't work, vicodin didn't even work. I was in bed laying on my left side for days. I couldn't walk. My entire right side and some of my left from the low back to my heel hurt, and when I got there some of the symptoms subsided in it's intensity but it was still there. I'm a physical therapist, but II couldn't even do the easist exercises I would prescribe to my patients because it hurt so bad. I couldn't even tolerate any soft tissue massage. She did her work and her magic and brought my pain down to a manageable level where I could tolerate walking, sitting and going to a massage therapist (shout out to citris body workx) who aboslutely annhilated my piriformis and then I was fixed. She was able to get deep into the piriformis and into my hamstring insertion points (it was NOT painless but she did such an amazing job) If it weren't for Jenny, I wouldn't have been able to get there. More recently, she helped me with my neck and shoulder problems that have been getting worse over the past couple months and it came to a head a month ago. Again, acupuncture really fixed a lot of muscle trigger points that was causing the pain. and after a day or two I felt so much better. I even started lifting again (lightly). I am still going to her for the same issue, but the fact that I was living with probably an 8/10 pain (dull deep aching pain) and went to a 4-5/10 is amazing. For my sciatica I went from a 10/10 (as in, almost into the ER, sometimes crying) to a 4/10 immediately and was able to tolerate massage work from somewhere else. Also, if you like dry needling (like physical therapists outside of CA and CA athletic trainers do) then she does that as well.

As an athlete the main goal is injury prevention and when you do get injured, you must immediately make it a priority to seek professional help. I came in because of shoulder pain. After sharing my experience with my friends and neighbors on California Sports & Spine Institute, I…read morerealized I never left them a review. I know, shocking since I clearly like reviewing. So here it goes: Gather round, my friends, it's story time. So without divulging my entire medical history, I will share with my fellow Yelpers that I, Margo "Yelp-go", have EDS (has nothing to do with ED and everything to do with chronic pain) I have been to SO many pain management doctors (around 6) and after a bad experience at Risser Orthopedic (don't worry, I'll get to that review later) I decided to search for the Dr that led me to go to Risser in the first place (*cue the music*) Dr Moradian! I had seen Dr Moradian briefly around 7 yrs prior after a car accident, at Risser. He was kind, professional and after 5 other pain management doctors later, definitely more skilled. (Yes, I will publicly shame these past practices at a later date. Your girl's trying to stay positive here) When I returned to Risser, I asked to see Dr Moradian and was told he was no longer there. Obviously, I created a false narrative that he retired young and was traveling the Bahamas in happiness and that he was no longer an option for me. So fast forward to me having enough of the disappointment with Risser. (I'm talking about them randomly changing appointments on me without letting me know and literally calling me for a phone appointment when my poor grandma was dying in a hospital and then charging me for not being available despite not ever scheduling me for that day. Then mix in Evelyn with the attitude...) I digress, I was just done. I felt like I was starting from ground zero and decided I would just google Dr Moradian. I guess I thought, "hmm, maybe he's retired but has a a twin with the same career and professionalism". I'm so glad I did because *BAM* I found him (in hindsight I should have just started with this, but hey, you live and you learn) When I called to schedule, he wasn't available. An invisible tear fell from my face. The lady on the other line recommended that I try his colleague Dr Vartanian. I admit, I was hesitant but figured he had to be "okay" if he was with Dr Moradian. I was RIGHT (and a little wrong) because Dr Vartanian is amazing! *confetti emoji* He's not only the most gentle Trigger Point Injector (again, I've had this done by now 7 drs.) but he's also compassionate towards his patients and encourages a plan towards maintaining mobility for a rewarding life. He's the first doctor that I would vouch for to say that he's a genuinely good person. Not just a "good doctor" but a "good person".

Another reviewer here that said that not only is Dr. Vartanian a good doctor, but a good person…read more I'd have to agree with that 100%. Finding one who genuinely cares is a rarity these days. He thoroughly explains all the options and I never feel rushed. Integrity because his recommendations are conservative instead of immediately recommending surgery. Office staff are pleasant and friendly. Thank you Dr. V!

From the very beginning, Dr. Chan was professional, thorough, and incredibly honest. She gave me a fair warning that it could take 3-5 months to see results, which at first felt discouraging--but I appreciated her transparency. She carefully assessed my condition, explained exactly what was happening, and laid out a treatment plan that was realistic and tailored to me. It's been about 4 months now, and I am completely pain-free! I was initially skeptical--what could physical therapy really do when the pain was this severe? But the results speak for themselves. My arm is fully functional again, and I've been able to get back to activities I love, including pickleball and other racquet sports. Dr. Chan's approach is thoughtful, personalized, and effective. She listens, understands, and genuinely cares about her patients' progress. I can't recommend her enough to anyone struggling with pain or injury. I'm relatively new to CrossFit, but enjoyed the fast paced workouts, the push of wanting to become stronger and faster, and the amazing people I've met from the gym. Unfortunately with the excitement, I ended up hurting my lower back pretty badly where the pain was so intense that I couldn't be seated comfortably for long periods of time nor could I get in and out of a car/get out of bed without excruciating pain. I wasn't sure what to do - the pain was so bad and affecting my work and overall mental health. That's where Reason Physio came in. Both Dr. Beth and Dr. Josh are certified and licensed physical therapists who specialize in providing PT in order to solve the pain and allow the individual to be able to pursue his/her version of a healthy lifestyle. I worked with Dr. Beth on finding out the location of my injury, what movements aggravated it, and how I could strengthen the muscles/body parts surrounding it to eventually heal the pain. I was given exercises and homework to complete on my own, which honestly helped a ton. I worked with Dr. Beth for about once a month until the injury disappeared. I was able to do those movements again, but now I had more knowledge of what I needed to do to prevent future injury. I was able to graduate from PT until I had another injury where I ended up reaching out to Dr. Beth again. I'm now injury free (and hopefully will stay that way) but wanted to reiterate how amazing it is to work with someone who not only understands why I am having pain, but also how I can overcome the pain and get back to what I physically want to do. If you're ever feeling pain and not sure what to do or where to go, definitely reach out to Reason Physio! Incredibly thankful for this team and their outstanding service for the community.

I began seeing Dr. Minehart and there was finally a light at the end of a long, dark and seemingly endless tunnel of nerve pain. From my first visit to the present, Dr. Minehart looked at me, listened to me, and immediately ordered tests to assess me. That same week I was in his surgery center to have yet more steroid injections. I did not have to wait weeks to see a Doctor for my 15 minute appointment. For the first time, Dr. Minehart identified the specific region in my spine for injection. For the first time in 10 months, I began to have pain relief. Since then, I have had a range of injections, as well as a prescription for medication that began the return to my life. Dr. Minehart and his excellent staff, serve the person. He is a compassionate and caring doctor, and an exceptional practitioner of healing. I strongly recommend Dr. Isaac Minehart of the Advanced Pain Institure in Arcadia for TRUE and comprehensive treatment of pain. Dr. Isaac Minehart has changed my life!!! I was diagnosed with Sciatica in January of this year, 2025. Over the period of the last year, my pain progressively increased. My nerve pain became unbearable. I had multiple steroid injections, physical therapy, expensive decompression therapy for many weeks, and my pain was consuming my life. Finally I underwent spinal fusion surgery. No relief! Then my incision opened from top to bottom, and I had to undergo another surgery to repair the incision. I was treated with IV antibiotics to treat infection for several weeks twice a day by a wonderful visiting nurse. By then I was funtionally bedridden, and needed the care of my family. Then I found my "rescuing angel", Dr. Isaac Minehart of the Advanced Pain Institute, Arcadia, CA.
