TLDR: Excellent therapist, life advice, and problem solver. Dan took one quick look at my body, knew exactly what areas needed work, went to work, and made it like new. I may not feel ten pounds lighter, but I do feel ten years younger. No more soreness, no more pain - all within an hour! ------ Having recently moved to Pasadena, I was on the lookout for new communities and services. One of those included massage therapy and personal trainers, and within that realm I discovered Stretch Therapy which led to Dan's website. However, with the most recent review from almost a year ago, I was worried that it may have closed down or moved locations. After two weeks of quick text messages, I finally called Dan, and I was glad that he picked up. I could tell from the beginning that time was valuable, and that he was quality. (Of course, there are other reviews to back that up.) We scheduled a session for later that week. During my visit, I explained all my goals and problems since the COVID years, and one of those was stiffness in my body. Fortunately, his assessment of me was that I was more flexible than average and that it wasn't a concern. What concerned me though was my back, and within a one hour session, his years of expertise and practice made my back like new. From the shoulders to the middle and lower back, I felt years of aches and tension leave my body almost instantly. Throughout our session, he consistently asked for my feedback to see if I had any additional areas of aches or pains, and treated them almost immediately. In addition to the session, Dan is easy to chat with and also offered me life advice and motivation to start working towards my goals rather than thinking about them. I'm definitely more of a thinker than doer, and I always need an extra push. Dan was an active listener, excellent therapist, and generous giver of advice. I am looking forward to future sessions. read more

I am 53 years old and started training with Dan after my bulging disc C5 and C6 inflammation calms down. A year and a half, I lost 29lbs . I don't know how I did it but I did it. Dan guide me thru and his constant nagging and reminders was a big help!! I know I can't do it by on my own. Training session was surprisingly fun, tailored to match my liking and he made my hour session goes by so quickly, that's the best. From hating to go for an hour training to looking forward for my next training session. There are times, instead of a workout session, he did a stretch therapy and then send me home. I'm like wow, how he knows i have that mild pain on my elbow, just by asking me a few questions?? Pain was instantly gone!. Of course its not a one time magic, pain on elbow did come back after a few days due to my work . By going weekly, now my pain is almost not there at all. Thank you Dan! Wish I started with you 10years ago! read more

I had pain in my right leg for 6 months after a gym injury. No amount of chiropractic, icing, massage or stretching helped alleviate. Went to Dan yesterday and today I am feeling no pain, my leg feels back to normal. Wow! Dan is fantastic! My first experience with him was at the MT. Wilson Trail Race where he was giving 10 minute demonstrations for the runners! A month or so after I scheduled a 30 minute session with him at very short notice! (Thanks Dan!) he was professional, quick, and super thorough. If you've never tried this it's amazing. Every fitness level, every age, every exercise style can use this. So glad I tried stretch therapy :) Cant wait for my next 60 minute session!! read more

Dan is a therapy wizard. I took my 14 year old son to work out a knot in his back but the session was definitely more than that with Dan providing a detailed analysis of his body type and ways to improve performance on the baseball field and in the weight room. I would highly recommend Dan to anyone looking for therapy and to increase knowledge on body awareness. read more

Who doesn't love to lay there and get stretched! Found this place by referral - my friend said Dan was very professional and knows what he's doing. He takes his time and doesn't just try to get your money. I've always had neck and shoulder pain because of work and my bad posture. Gotten massages, been to the chiropractor, but they were all temporary fix. Getting stretched by Dan was amazing, but definitely not a one-time thing. I kept going for a couple of months and I started to see results - my neck and shoulders were so much looser. Highly recommend for those that sit at work using a computer all day long. read more

Best experience ever! As I work on the desk every day I find that my neck and lower back have been inflexible. I looked up therapy on Yelp and came by stretch therapy Monrovia. I was a little reluctant to call because I had no idea what this kind of therapy was. But my pain was more than I could take, so I gave this place a call.. I'm so glad I did! Dan was very helpful and he explained everything so I could be a little more educated about the process. We did some back and neck exercises to help strengthen my muscles. We then went into our session as he was able to clear the tension in the back and neck area. Thank you, Dan, for your help and I would look forward to coming back regularly for your training and therapy services. Highly recommend! read more

I found stretch therapy Monrovia on yelp. I was reluctant to call, but while talking to Dan, he was reassuring as he went through our initial conversation. For those whose body aches and have back pains I highly suggest for you guys to check this place out ! I was referred by a friend since my friend kept raving about how much they helped him feel better. This review is for the hubs since he doesn't have an account for yelp. My hubs has a really bad back problem and going into a chiropractor did not help him as much. Coming here I realized how everyone is so professional. They staffs were very friendly and greeted us right away and made us feel comfortable not only that the environment was clean. The person who helped us even went to the extent to sit down with us and explained the whole process just for some peace in mind which was so kind of him. For those who don't know the difference chiro is more with working with the spine while stretch therapy they work with the whole shabang! I'm so glad we were referred to this place because the hubs left happy and feeling good with no more pain. Highly suggest everyone to check this place out they work out wonders ! We left not being disappointed and I'm sure whoever else that do come you will leave feeling refresh and satisfy! If I could I'll give them more than just 5stars I would ! Dan is an amazing therapist. After running 8.6 miles and winning 3rd for females at the Wilson trail race, my wife needed a good stretch Therapy From Dan to limit the muscle cramps. With the therapy it helped her to get back on her feet for the next day run. For me, with age creeping up I use Dan to help me keep my body flexible and to improve posture. If you suffer from aches and pain or just want to improve posture and movement, give him a call. Plus the gym is super cool! read more

Dan was a great trainer. He can be a friend but also a hard ass couch when needed. For a year I saw him twice a week. I was able to go from 150lbs to 132 lbs. May not seem like a lot but I still ate whatver I wanted to his disappointment. He knew how to motivate me to keep moving even though I'd feel like I can't anymore. He pushed me also to try new exercises. I never thought I would enjoy lifting. I've always just ran. He actually watches your form to prevent you from hurting yourself. He pays attention to your movements to make sure the exercise is done correctly. He also gave me pointer on what workouts I can do on my own to keep on schedule. read more

I needed someone who knows what he's doing to help me open up my mobility and flexibility and possibly knots in my body that I didn't know I have. I feel sooo much better after his first session!! Just had my first therapy session today with Dan. I consider myself an athlete and I do not always stretch before vigorous activity, so this session was long overdue. Dan was very professional, knowledgeable and extremely approachable. His technique was superb and he did a great job listening to my body and adjusting as needed. He was very attentive to my responses and I highly recommend Dan for your stretch therapy needs. Even if I was not an active adult, I recommend stretch therapy - specifically by Dan.
