After trying numerous other physical therapists that either would have months long lead times for appointments or give me disappointingly basic exercises that seemed to do nothing, Dr. Ho has been an amazing help for the 6 months that I've been seeing him. I originally began working with him for pain and tension with my sternum and rib cage, which he diagnosed as costochondritis. While other physicians would kind of shrug and tell me to rest, he gave me challenging (in a good way!) exercises, manual therapy, and the right behavior modification tips to start making progress. When I received a back injury so bad that I was experiencing sciatica and foot drop, he quickly adjusted our plan, and I credit his help over the last 3 months with getting me to the place now where I've regained full range of motion in a foot I couldn't previously even move and a reduction of the pain to the point where I'm able to begin to get back to regular exercise. He is obviously invested in his patients as he would come in regularly with new techniques from further trainings specific to my issues. He is constantly looking for new ways to challenge me to continue progressing while also making sure the detailed daily workout plans he gives me are able to fit in my daily life. Vincent is amazing! I've been seeing him for the past couple of months after I tore my meniscus. I was skeptical my knee would heal, but now I'm shocked how much progress I've made - it's kept me from needing surgery!! Vincent is so professional and knowledgeable, he went to the best PT program in the US (USC), so I know I'm in good hands. I've seen other physical therapists in the past, but they usually don't spend the whole hour with you and instead your healing is in the hands of an aid who is not really trained or paying attention, which can lead to more injuries or just taking longer to get better. It's worth it to pay out of pocket and get a full hour with Vincent 1:1 - I'm never using insurance for PT again. I have other chronic health conditions and bad experiences with PT in the past (that's how I tore my meniscus in the first place), so I was nervous about seeing Vincent at first, but he is so patient and kind and attentive and smart - he knows about my other conditions and knows when to pivot to another exercise to not make my pain worse. Vincent tailors the exercises to me (not just getting them out of a binder like a lot of PTs) and even makes videos so I can watch how to do them later. He's so organized and I love how he posts all the exercises on this app called TrueCoach so I can keep track of it all (which is SO helpful when you have brain fog and can't remember your homework!). As long as you actually do your homework, you will see results. Vincent is a BEAST of a physical therapist. I came in with groin pain that just would not go away. It kept me from squatting and running (as a lifter it was debilitating). I cannot recommend PNP enough after multiple successful sessions with Dr. Ho for my back and shoulder injuries. Dr. Vincent Ho is a consummate professional who has served as my personal trainer and physical therapist since November 2022. Throughout this time, I can confidently say that I don't see myself working with any other provider than Dr. Ho. He is patient, considerate, extremely encouraging, but not in a way where he allows you to take the easy way out. He still pushes you towards your physical goals, and he does this through a rigorous and regimented program. Dr. Ho is also incredibly evidence-based, and will explain why we are doing certain movements because of the physiology and the studies conducted around his instruction. I'm also a healthcare professional, so this type of instruction resonates with me. However, that does not mean he is beyond the understanding of the average person, as Dr. Ho is great at simplifying complicated concepts such as pain and muscle movement. I followed Dr. Ho to the opening of his brick and mortar, Prestige and Performance Physical Therapy, and I'm glad that I'm continuing to make the drive from Long Beach to see him. His office is clean, cool, inviting, well-equipped, and is located in a very safe and inviting neighborhood right off the Ventura freeway. His building also has a private parking lot with ample spaces, which makes the commute more feasible. Overall, I see myself seeing Dr. Ho regularly, since he understands my movement well and will always pinpoint the exact cause of my pain, or why I find it difficult to reach PRs in my fitness journey.
