I've seen a few physical therapists at B and C therapy and they do a great job. Very professional…read moreand knowledgeable. I give them a 5/5. Unfortunately I've had problems with one of the secretaries. I just called to cancel an appointment since the pain that I had had resolved. However, the secretary kept on trying to keep me from cancelling the appointment time after time. Eventually, fed up, I told her to cancel the appointment. I rarely write reviews and try to not leave negative reviews but I'm making an exception in this case.

I'm happy to have found B&C PT and that they accept my health insurance. I've been here twice and…read morecan sense an improvement in this nagging neck pain of mine. The clinic has a small gym upfront with treatment tables in the back. Super convenient location in Alhambra with a 4-hr free parking garage. B&C PT is extremely popular and books out weeks in advance. I had to wait ~3-4 weeks for my initial appt, and had to book all my subsequent appts following my first visit to secure dates/times. I work primarily with Ching Ly (the C of B&C lol) and he's super down to earth. He did a comprehensive exam of my neck, measured my neck movements with a goniometer, and confirmed if it was a joint or muscle issue. I've seen several PTs, but no one was as thorough as Ching in trying to figure out the root cause. My treatment plan is pretty straightforward - Managing neck pain with manual therapy, at-home workouts, and then more workouts to strengthen neck, shoulder, and back muscles. If I had to nitpick then it would be the super tedious process of booking upcoming appointments with the front desk receptionist. Nothing PT related. Highly recommend B&C PT! I hope to be free of this annoying pain by the end of my sessions.

Cheri came highly recommended and it was clear from our first session that she really takes the time to figure out and understand what my body was doing and why I was experience the pain that I was feeling. She took the time to evaluate how my whole body was moving and identified several body mechanic and movement issues that were contributing to the problem. We started off with basic exercises that set the stage for more complex ones as I progressed. HealthFit has systems in place to make sure that when you're at home doing your exercises, you have video references with detailed explanations on how to do each exercise properly. After each week, little by little, things started to change. And then there came that moment when everything clicked and started to change! I've noticed a huge improvement not only in pain reduction, but also in my overall stability, balance, and strength. Cheri has given me the tools to break my body's bad habits. I highly recommend working with Cheri to anyone dealing with chronic pain, movement issues, or sports-related injuries. Cheri is thoughtful, knowledgeable and genuinely cares about helping her patients improve long term.

This is my go to place whenever I need physical therapy. The personalized service and extended one-on-one time are absolutely worth it if you care about your joints, muscles, and long-term recovery. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the wonderful front office staff, Feliza and Britt. They make you feel right at home, and I always enjoy chatting with them and hearing what's going on in their young lives. And now for my knowledgeable, kind PT, Dr. Daphne Tan. She has treated me for several injuries, including my shoulder, elbow, and lower back. She has also treated me post-surgically, and I always leave our sessions feeling better than when I came in. She is motivating, attentive, and really takes the time to correct my form during exercises so I'm doing everything properly. I am not sharing my time with 2 other patients. I'm very glad I found HealthFit. It is well worth it compared to a larger corporate/hospital based PT clinic where your therapist may spend more time documenting than actually monitoring your movement and progress. HealthFit provides the kind of personalized care that makes a real difference.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Dr. Loc?…read more In one sentence... He is a living healer. Yes, he's far and yes he's expensive but in ONE visit he fixed my shoulder pain. In the second visit he freed up my ribs from tightness caused by double mastectomy scar tissue. I couldn't breathe properly for years. Two visits. Yes I did weekly physical therapy, weekly massages, acupuncture, Rolfing, sauna, cold plunge, PEMF mat, hyperbaric oxygen, I honestly could keep going but you get the point. If you're considering making the drive and investment do it.

I never find myself writing reviews for anything, but I think I owe it to anyone looking to get out…read moreof pain, perform better in their sport, or just recover from an injury or surgery to share the experience that I, and four others, had after seeing Dr. Locatelli Rao in Pasadena. TLDR: He has been able to help each of us after we all were separately convinced that we had seen "all of the best" PTs/therapists/healers in California, Minnesota and Vancouver. I found him while I was training for an Ironman a couple of years ago. I had experienced a number of injuries while training that were starting to slow me down. Not only did those injuries resolve, but in later appointments with him I was able to fix my chronic shoulder/neck and low back pain that I had been living with for the last 15 years after injuries/surgeries from playing high school football and baseball. I can't put a price on what this has done for my quality of life as someone who values taking care of my health and fitness. Since then I have sent my parents, girlfriend and one of my friends to him and we have all had the same experience. Parents: Dad (ankle) Mom (meniscus) - - both of them are now pain free after they had been living in pain for the past two decades after each of their injuries. One of my best friends experienced a near-death skydiving accident. Broke 4 cervical vertebrae and tore his acetabular labrum (hip labrum) and had seen 12+ specialists to try to get out of pain and regain his mobility he had lost after being in a neck brace for 4 months. He was told that all of those specialists were the best in their fields/techniques but he only saw either marginal improvement (if any) or temporary improvement/relieve with them. After one appointment with Dr. Loc he regained most of the functionality of his left hip and is excited to go back and address his neck pain with Dr. Loc. For the first time in half a decade he is feeling confident that there is actually a path out of pain for him. My girlfriend had low back pain throughout her life as long as she can remember. After a single appointment with Dr. Loc she has not experienced anywhere near the intensity/frequency of pain that she was experiencing prior. Even a day of sitting too long at her desk chair would have her at 6/10 pain and now the worst she experiences is a 1.5-2/10 after heavy lifting/long hikes. (follow him on Instagram and you'll see dozens of case studies and other examples of this happening for other people as well) Put simply: We all call him a wizard and he is the now the first person we are all recommending other people go and see when they're dealing with any sort of pain. It's a long drive for me to go and see him, but I'd make the trip if it were 10x longer.

I can completely understand having emergencies, but they said they aren't able to give me another appointment till January, I think it's unprofessional to cancel an appointment on someone then not make extra time to see the patients that were cancelled on. I'm in the health care industry and my husband is a doctor and we would never do that to a patient. EDIT: a new appointment was not offered to me until after I left this yelp review, a women called me to cancel my appointment about 25 min prior to my appointment, she then told me she couldn't reschedule me, then I proceeded to leave this review then was called again about one hour later being offered a new appointment after my yelp review was posted. She has so much knowledge and is very caring and supportive. The class was with 6 individuals with very different stages of fitness journey and needs. (Some have bad shoulders, injured body parts etc.) Tracey gave everybody with very customized, individual cues and progression/regression, and I am amazed how she helped everyone to push just right amount so that everyone can get good workout while not injuring themselves. The whole class flow was amazingly choreographed with proper techniques and hands-on adjustments. I am at the phase to undo my bad habits and correct my alignments deviations. Without me communicating verbally, Tracey understood my intentions and guided me through the whole class. She gave me so many aha moments and I finally found some of my muscle groups firing which I haven't felt for years. She has such a sweet, nurturing personality, and it was such a pleasant and fun experience to move in her class! Highly highly recommend to anybody - from a person who has never taken a Pilates class, or recovering from injuries, to a Pilates enthusiast looking for learning from an instructor at the mastery level of arts of Pilates.

So they let me signed up and I had Chris Mallett worked with me. He firstly told me that if I don't have doctors note he can't really do much, then I said I am very close by, I can go home and grab it for him. He immediately told me that he is leaving soon. The front desk told me it's about one hour session, but Chris seems to be in a rush, he didn't have patience with me. He said even though if I leave the office now, they are going to charge me. I was very upset, I did not get informed that I should bring the doctors note, also he didn't do anything with me yet. When I got home, I did some research about his name and the history of this place, it seems like Chris and his wife are both the owners and they live in South Pasadena. But how rude he treated me today, I was speechless! I told the front desk that I did not get treated by the therapist and I am not going to pay for this visit. She seems to be understanding. I hope I haven't been charged for this unpleasant visit. As I live very close by, I also signed up all the paperwork and my credit card information, so I think I will come again to see another therapist in April anyways, at least I can have a better judgment of this place after I get my next appointment.
