Just "graduated" from close to 9 months of physical therapy after a surgery. Went for treatment every week, sometimes twice a week, from being immobile (after surgery) to now fully mobile with excellent range of motion, and knowledge of how to maintain the health of the muscles and bones, with correct exercise. It took some time but it is all worthwhile because it is for my health. Everyone in the office, from administrative staff to the therapists, was very friendly and helpful. All the therapists were knowledgeable and very patient. The massage that they did was crucial and helpful as part of the healing journey. I had experience in a couple of other places before I came to B&C, and B&C has been the best & would wholeheartedly recommend this facility. read more

I'm happy to have found B&C PT and that they accept my health insurance. I've been here twice and can sense an improvement in this nagging neck pain of mine. The clinic has a small gym upfront with treatment tables in the back. Super convenient location in Alhambra with a 4-hr free parking garage. B&C PT is extremely popular and books out weeks in advance. I had to wait ~3-4 weeks for my initial appt, and had to book all my subsequent appts following my first visit to secure dates/times. I work primarily with Ching Ly (the C of B&C lol) and he's super down to earth. He did a comprehensive exam of my neck, measured my neck movements with a goniometer, and confirmed if it was a joint or muscle issue. I've seen several PTs, but no one was as thorough as Ching in trying to figure out the root cause. My treatment plan is pretty straightforward - Managing neck pain with manual therapy, at-home workouts, and then more workouts to strengthen neck, shoulder, and back muscles. If I had to nitpick then it would be the super tedious process of booking upcoming appointments with the front desk receptionist. Nothing PT related. Highly recommend B&C PT! I hope to be free of this annoying pain by the end of my sessions. read more

I've seen a few physical therapists at B and C therapy and they do a great job. Very professional and knowledgeable. I give them a 5/5. Unfortunately I've had problems with one of the secretaries. I just called to cancel an appointment since the pain that I had had resolved. However, the secretary kept on trying to keep me from cancelling the appointment time after time. I follow Owner Ching's order of November 2025 to find another place for physical therapy. it was hard to do immediately, I did not know how much money left. It was easy to do the beginning of 2026. Now I do not have to deal with Linh, she constantly wanted to buy or exchange or give my jade to her and Ching said he does not care. Borris only allowed 20 visits per year and saved 5 or 7 visits for emergency, not requested more visits for emergency. He wanted less visits when insurance changed policy from 24 visits per year to $2300 per year. This clinic also cost effective, no hot pat, no electrical stimulation, no ultrasound, no massage.... only let patient do exercise. 5 stars did not mean everything, it could be manipulated by owners. it was an open secrete. One small clinic with four therapists was too crowded to make profits. read more

I have been to at least 4 PT facilities for the past 10 years and 3 were very impersonal, unhelpful in my recoveries and waste of time. It felt like a factory clinic. I worked with Boris and Ching at this clinic and they are both very attentive to me, knowledgeable, patient and professional. They have addressed all my fears of re--injuring my broken leg, explained the "why I have to do the exercises" and my apprehension on the pain of therapy kindly, friendly and respectfully. An actual therapist was with me the whole session time making sure I am doing exercises correctly and still checking on my well being at the same time. They schedule patients to make sure it is not overcrowded, have some privacy and a one-on-one time with the therapist. Place is very clean, organized and well kept. I have seen several physical therapist and Carina is the best I have been treated by. I look for a few things in a physical therapist. 1. Intelligence (ability to treat effectively) 2. Kindness & Care (aka... bedside manor) 3. Willingness to Educate (Taking the time needed to teach me about what's going on with my medical condition) When I went to B & C physical Therapy, they assigned Carina to treat me. We quickly got along, I noticed she was genuinely interested in my overall well being which is a huge plus. Carina was patient and took her time in my initial evaluation, which was extensive. She didn't cut corners like many others. I was impressed with her ability to use alternative evaluation to verify the accuracy of the MRI. She even reviewed my MRI and educated me on what the terms meant, this empowered me because I understand why my conditions symptoms are so particular and severe at times. Carina is also Humble, she isn't arrogant like many people in the medical field, Humility is very important because that shows a willingness to continue to learn and grow, resulting in better treatment in the long run for all of her patients. Her treatment plan along with additional recommendations to speed up my recovery proved to work very well. I am almost ready to return to work. After suffering from a significant neck injury, I didn't know if I would ever fully recover without surgery, but Camille laid out a great plan for me to follow and six months later I'm relatively symptom-free. Camille is very knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest literature on physical ailments and conditions. She monitored my progress closely and did a great job explaining my condition, the exercises, and reasonable expectations for recovery. Highly recommended for physical therapy! I never broke/injured any part of my body for over 30 years, until I sprained my ankle pretty badly from tripping on some lava rocks in Hawaii. I am so glad I came across B & C Physical Therapy through Yelp search. I was not exactly sure what to expect since it was my first time getting physical therapy. Ching took good care of me for almost 3 months. I am almost back to normal. When I first came to B & C, I was dragging my injured ankle. I walked out being able to jump, jog, and balance on my injured ankle. I normally dread working out, so I was afraid that I was going to be bored to death while doing exercises for months, but Ching kept my spirits up. He is very knowledgeable and also has a good sense of humor. It felt great to do exercises and sweat for once. This is my third review for Boris. I had jaw pain. Did numerous tests, went to different doctors and didn't really get much pain relief. I felt helpless and thought of checking in with Boris to see if he even works on such stuff. Boris was transparent and shared it's not something he typically works on but was willing to try helping me out. I felt relief just knowing that Boris was willing to pick up my case. He has constantly shown in the past how he can address pain when most doctors have been unsuccessful so in my mind, I knew that Boris would be able to find a solution. There was a 2 month wait to get my initial appointment (just shows how popular he is), but I still chose to wait and meet Boris rather than go to another physiotherapist. I just knew it would make more sense to wait and work with someone who will truly work to solve my problem. Boris is one of those people who will find a solution to practically everything that is pain related and I had immense trust and faith that he would work on building a tailored solution and guide me. Rightly enough when I started treatment under Boris, I started to feel better. Boris was even kind enough to share info. of another physiotherapist who specializes in my pain area should I not see progress with him, but I was pretty confident that Boris would find a solution. I still have miles to go but frankly without Boris I don't think I would have made any progress. His goal has always been to not only treat me but train me on how I can manage pain on my own, for which I am very grateful. read more

This review is mainly for interaction with the receptionist. The receptionist was abrupt, indifferent and impatient. She didn't seem to care at all about my situations and problems and didn't want to help out or compromise. She gave me the impression where they don't care about receiving the business from me or not since they seem to be very popular with a lot of patients. Horrible. I suffered from knee pain caused by a running injury for about a year and finally had enough. I saw other reviewers who had success with knee injury recovery at B&C and decided to check it out. Ching assessed my knee injury and developed a therapy plan that did wonders. Ching and the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. The equipment was always sanitized, and the space was nice and clean. I felt well taken care of and will return if needed. I also appreciate the convenience of the location. I cannot say enough great things about B & C Physical Therapy, their physicians and their staff. I have neck pain and my fingers feels numb. My friend was recommended Boris to me. After first visit/consultation with him, I bought the 5 lessons/45 mins treatment package. My neck and my fingers feeling much better and has no pain at all. I called shortly after my followup from knee surgery, and was offered an appointment almost 3 weeks out. Called multiple other PT's and never got an email, a callback, or anything. Called B & C again, and after having multiple cancellations due to a recent La covid up spike, I got in 8 days later, and would have been in that same day, but that falls on the failure of my insurance company, not this excellent practice. I've never done PT, and I've been nothing but comfortable coming here multiple times over the last few weeks. I've seen dramatic improvements after just two sessions, and I can walk without anywhere near the pain I experienced pre as well as post surgery. They're friendly, helpful, and great at working scheduling and making sure to help you book what you need. I really can't recommend this place enough. I'll be suggesting them to any friends and family, as my experience has been nothing short of flawless. The last year has been quite the journey of wrist, arm, back, and shoulder injuries/pain. I was unhappy with the therapists i was seeing and finally landed at B&C after doing some research. Their approach was so different than my prior experiences. I was so fortunate enough to have Tiffany as my Physical Therapist. At the beginning, she clearly discussed our plan and areas of focus. I would say we spent 80% if the time on stretching, stabilizing and strengthening. The other 20% on education and massage. Tiffany was always clear with her directions and followed up on my progress on home exercises. She listened and adjusted our sessions based on my hopes to play tennis again. She is easy to work with and i enjoyed our talks about boba, food, and travel. While Tiffany is great, i dont think you could go wrong with any of the other therapists. They all seemed to be very kind, friendly, and working closely with their patients. The front desk staff are also very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Shout out to Kyle! I came to B&C for therapy starting in March 2021 because it was close by and because of the positive reviews and was not disappointed! I received ACL surgery in March and started therapy when I was in crutches. Carina helped me regain strength in my leg at a steady pace, putting together an exercise/therapy program that fit my doctor's recommendations as well as my own progress. She gave me helpful exercises (and new ones each week) that would help strengthen my leg gradually, and I was able to walk without crutches less than 2 months after surgery and begin running around 4.5 months! Also, everyone on the staff was very kind and friendly to me at every visit that I went to over 6 months! I would highly recommend this place to get physical therapy! read more

Would not be exaggerating to say that Carina changed my life for the better! I found B&C via Yelp. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff is nice, professional, and organized. Ching is the best! Seriously, I've been to a lot of different PTs over my lifetime and Ching is the best one I've ever had. Here's why: 1. Knowledge and experience. You can ask him anything and he can tell you exactly what muscles/joints/etc are being impacted and what's going on. All PTs who have their license will have an understanding of physiology, but Ching has years of experience that really shows when you talk to him and he gives you a diagnosis. It's clear that he has had plenty of firsthand experience treating patients and he has more than just book knowledge. Ching is an avid athlete himself (ask him about volleyball) and he totally understands the desire to want to get back out there and do what you love. He also will tailor your workout specifically for what you do. I came in with a shoulder injury (torn labrum) and my shoulder has improved tremendously through Ching's treatment. As a surfer and volleyball player, he focused on exercises that would strengthen my paddling and my hitting (which it has helped a lot). Beyond just the exercises done at the clinic, he gave me a routine to work on at home. 2. Treatment. Most PTs will do some sort of manual work on you if you have a muscle/tissue injury (massage, stretching, etc) and Ching's manual work is top notch due to his strength. He can really get in there and get deep into the muscle. 3. Personality. This isn't the most important part of a PT, but it makes a big difference going to a PT and kind of awkwardly being there for an hour or two every week vs a PT who engages you personally. Ching has really great energy that is very motivating, which is especially great since PT work is hard and Ching is very encouraging.  4. Great facility and staff. They are located right next to a giant parking structure, so always PLENTY of covered parking which is a huge bonus. Also great staff, Celisa the front desk lady is very helpful in setting up appointments and working with you on billing and such. There was initially an issue with my insurance (due to a prior doctor incorrectly billing my insurance) but Celisa worked with me on it and was patient while I sorted things out with my insurance. If you've ever been to a medical office of any sort with an incompetent front desk you know what a difference a good front desk can make. There's also a floor assistant Camille who helps out around the clinic who's awesome, she's very friendly and helpful. COVID NOTES: The clinic is taking every precaution to be very Covid safe. Temperature is taken at the door and every surface is sanitized (even the pens for signing credit card receipts) after use. Unreliable and unprofessional. Called to make an appointment when Jenny answered the phone said she would verify my insurance and call me right back. One week later haven't heard back so I called to follow up. Jenny explains "we haven't heard from the insurance". I told her I found that impossible as other physical therapy offices have been able to verify within the day. She then says "oh actually we are too busy". Not only are you greeted by name by Elisa at the front desk but also by the whole team Camille, Ching and Boris. They keep their CDC standards high and sanitize everything to a T. In the Fall of 2020 i went to my orthopedic doctor for an unusal tingling sensation on my side, got news of (more) bone spurs and arthritis, not surprising for my age, medication and physical therapy prescription. I asked for list of clinics nearby, then she gave me two new ones, including B & C. I did not think to check for reviews, called them, got an appointment, met Ching the first time. During the evaluation. I felt that he was very knowledgeable, professional and confident. It began a very productive, successful course to my recovery. Other staff there are very friendly, later on Carina would assist, then stepped in when Ching took time off for his new baby girl. Carina and i would have nice chats. I actually felt sad of no longer needing to go. They all feel like friends to me. But i did go back to them in October 2021 with a very unfortunate, painful incident of shoulder dislocation. This time Carina is part of the professional staff. Congrats. Elisa is so efficient, and friendly, works out schedules to my preferences. Sam is also very good in assisting. But it strikes me the most is that the open, and friendly atmosphere there. I hear Carina's gentle instructions, Boris' encouraging remarks to their patients. And for me, Ching has been very patient in explainging my questions, very attentive to my progress, challenging me to new routines. We have interesting, sometimes funny conversations. At the end of each session, i feel challenged, hopeful and encouraged that i get to see these really nice people, and work with them, and at the same time get better. I'm fairly good with my shoulder after 3 months of therapy, probably a few more weeks, I'll be on my own. And i will miss seeing my friends there. I was suffering from chronic pain for a long period of time and decided that it was time to seek help from a physical therapist. Broke my ankle back in December 2021 rock climbing. Came to B&C to recover from being in a cast for 3+ months and, when I came first came in, my ankle was extremely stiff and just walking was uncomfortable. After a few sessions with Boris, coupled with the prescribed at-home exercises, I could already see results. Really appreciate Boris as he was super friendly, professional, and understanding.
