When he first attended he was 3yo and nonverbal, showing capacity for speech but not yet using any words. Prior to Teresa we had two other SLPs and the fit and match was never quite right (either with my son nor us as parents). Teresa has been phenomenal from the start - patient, calm, warm, engaging, and incredibly apt in her assessment and interventions with my son. He graduated from speech two months ago and the relationship he built with Teresa is so clear from his fondness of her. He has made tremendous progress, which is evident from going from nonverbal and using sounds to communicate to sentences, correct pronunciation, context, and ongoing conversation. Teresa is knowledgeable, sharp, and creative in the methods she utilizes to engage with my son. Additionally, Rosa (office staff extraordinaire) is so easy to work with and communicative. We have never had issues with scheduling, cancellations, and each visit she is so friendly that my son was disappointed if she wasn't there during a visit. All the staff are generally extremely friendly as we've had some one-off sessions with other providers over the years due to availability. For a very very brief period of time my son also had OT services but the OT therapist left the clinic and they have since stopped taking my insurance for OT. While we are extremely grateful and thankful that my son no longer meets criteria for speech services, we are sad and definitely miss the visits and relationship with Teresa and everyone at SGV speech. When we first started here, my son was speech delayed and no one understood the few words he did say. Mrs. Teresa was able to target his problem areas and gave my son the tools he needed to communicate clearly and effectively. Mrs. Teresa is kind, gentle, patient, stern when needed, and truly invested in my son's growth and progress. They worked hard together during sessions, and she always rewarded my son with play time at the end which he appreciated. She always pushed and challenged him -- every session the improvement was undeniable. My son is a better speaker, a more confident communicator, and is able to focus and apply himself so much more now. I have a daughter at a different clinic who has now seen several different therapists, and I truly don't think with them all combined they could do what Mrs. Teresa does. She is an expert in the field and my son and I were truly blessed to work with her! Shout out to Miss Rosa who runs a tight ship! She truly keeps everything running smoothly, handles everything from scheduling to billing to whatever else falls on her lap, and she always does it with a welcoming and warm smile. All the therapists were knowledgeable and very patient. The massage that they did was crucial and helpful as part of the healing journey. The clinic has a small gym upfront with treatment tables in the back. Super convenient location in Alhambra with a 4-hr free parking garage. B&C PT is extremely popular and books out weeks in advance. I had to wait ~3-4 weeks for my initial appt, and had to book all my subsequent appts following my first visit to secure dates/times. I work primarily with Ching Ly (the C of B&C lol) and he's super down to earth. He did a comprehensive exam of my neck, measured my neck movements with a goniometer, and confirmed if it was a joint or muscle issue. I've seen several PTs, but no one was as thorough as Ching in trying to figure out the root cause. My treatment plan is pretty straightforward - Managing neck pain with manual therapy, at-home workouts, and then more workouts to strengthen neck, shoulder, and back muscles. If I had to nitpick then it would be the super tedious process of booking upcoming appointments with the front desk receptionist. Nothing PT related. Highly recommend B&C PT! I hope to be free of this annoying pain by the end of my sessions.

Elena Vogel was my lactation consultant, Dr. Kolleen Gregory was our infant chiropractor, and Dr. Choi is currently our pediatric dentist. Dr. Nguyen evaluated Adam the morning after I gave birth. He wasn't able to latch all night so she came to the hospital and said he had a tie. I was adamant about breastfeeding so after we were cleared by our doctors, we checked out on the second day and went straight to our appointment with Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Choi. Dr. Choi, who did the laser treatment on his tie actually found that it was much tighter than they originally thought, so I'm thankful I did it. It was a few seconds and it was done. Adam cried and truthfully screamed a bit, but stopped the second it was done. He had already settled down by the time he was back in my arms and we went home. The post-op care was heavily stressed by Dr. Nguyen. She was very thorough and careful when explaining how to do his oral stretches. She emphasized that the post-op care wasn't just his mouth, but his whole body. She was so incredibly knowledgeable on how the body functions as a whole and how it all ties together, so the movement and stretching of his mouth and entire body is all important. I'll be honest and say that I didn't want to do any of it because my cooter was healing and I was still in pain from just coming home from giving birth. It was all very fresh. But I looked at my baby and decided I'm his mom and this is my responsibility. Every single day for the next 3 months, I set aside the bare minimum of 5 minutes but realistically it took 15 minutes to do thorough movement for my son. I put in the work. I took videos and sent them to Dr. Nguyen and she would give me feedback. Call me crazy but my son was and is an "easy" baby. Be it a blessing of luck with a combination of effort and work, I see results. He eats a variety of foods, hitting all his milestones, and developing beautifully. My father stayed at this facility for approximately one month, and during that time it became clear that the staff lacked sufficient training and experience in managing patients with dementia-related behaviors, particularly sundown syndrome. On one occasion, I received a phone call at 1:00 a.m. asking me to come to the facility because my father was awake, talking, and bothering the nursing staff. About two weeks later, I received another call at 5:00 a.m. with the same request. During that call, I was told that if I did not come in, they would transfer my father to another facility. As a family member, I understand that caring for dementia patients can be challenging, but these behaviors are common symptoms of the disease and should be expected in a facility that accepts patients with dementia and Alzheimer's. It was concerning to feel pressured to come in during the middle of the night because the staff could not adequately manage his condition. My disappointment continued after my father's discharge. The discharge coordinator, Ms. Wang, informed us that she would submit the paperwork to begin the IHSS (In-Home Supportive Services) application process on our behalf and told us we should receive documentation within one to one-and-a-half weeks. After 1.5 weeks passed without receiving anything, I contacted her and was told she would look into it. When another 1.5 weeks went by with no update, I personally visited the IHSS office to check on the status of my father's application. To my shock, I was informed that no application had ever been started. As a result, we lost three valuable weeks waiting for a process that had never been initiated. Had we been told the truth from the beginning, I could have submitted the application myself and avoided the delay. Families caring for elderly loved ones already have enough stress without being given inaccurate information that affects important support services. Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing. The facility demonstrated a lack of preparedness for dementia patients and failed to follow through on important discharge-related responsibilities. I hope management takes steps to improve staff training and communication so that other families do not experience similar issues.

***Long waits and rushed visits***…read more I've now been to Huntington Orthopedics four times, and the wait times are a real problem. My first visit had a 2+ hour wait, which I understood for a new patient. Visits two and three were better, with about 30 minutes of waiting each, but the doctor was only in the room for 5 to 10 minutes. Today was the worst. My appointment was at 2:30 PM and I wasn't taken back until 4:00 PM. That's an hour and a half past my scheduled time. If appointments aren't going to be honored, patients should be told upfront, or the office should schedule more realistically. Our time matters too. Physical therapy has been helpful, but the scheduling and wait times need serious improvement.
