When I called Denise she would always try to laugh it off and try to manipulate the situation saying they couldn't find anyone that work with our schedule -Said schedule in question- Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Denise did say she was going to call me the next day ... 3 days have past My daughter is supposed to be receiving 30.5 hours a WEEK we barely make it to 6hours a week Even after leaving the company I waited weeks for her final progress report , so I called (weeks after) and they said they are still working on it !!!!!!!!!!!!!! TLR- go to this company if you really don't care to actually get your child consistent help & also the receptionist always answers the calls as if I'm calling her personal phone. I would like to give not even one star to this company really Bad service there not reliable at all . Bad communication between staff .often fail to follow up with patients as promised.also they don't resolve patients issues effectively. Don't trust your little one on this company for any services .poor lack of interest of working with out little ones manager and staff are awful there is no doubt about that. read more

San gabriel Regional center referred me to this family optima center. And I'm having really bad time with them. First, their worker is not professional at all. Some of their therapists are having long fake nails with this covid around. Even though they wash their hands when they do in home session, they really cannot clean well under their nails. Even without covid, I don't think that's appropriate since they have to be with babies. Secondly, it's 1 hour session but one time therapist finished the session after 30 min. So I called the family optima center and asked them if every session finish 30 min earlier. And they say every session will be finished 10 to 15 min earlier since they have to take a note for every session. I understand they have to take a note for every session so we can track on baby's development. But our therapist always finish sessions after 42 min exactly. I don't think she spends 18 min for taking a note. Third, their therapist change or cancel sessions before one hour. It already happened almost 4 times with me in couple months. And I asked if the session which was canceled one hour before the session starts by therapist can be covered with another day, and they say it may not be covered since it's end of the month. So I called the family optima center to ask if it can be covered since it was cancelled by therapist. And the receptionist replied me rude; therapist was sick that's why she cancelled and she also cannot control with the sickness so it might not be covered. I'm not saying every their receptionist is bad. But the one who was working on June 1st, 2021 at 10:30 am. I really hope they are more professional and passionate than now. read more

North Los Angeles Regional Center assigned Optima Family Services for my son who has a speech delay. Melissa Ahamad, (SLPA) started working with my son when he was at 15 months old my son cannot say anything other than Mama and Papa. Fastforward to today, he is now 2years old and has over 80 words though not perfectly pronounced but still a big big improvement from how he was before. We started with sign languages then to minimal words. He hits himself when he cannot express his emotions, so when he started to use and understand the word NO, hitting was gone. It's such a relief. Kids express themselves better through language. At the end of each session, Melissa would give me recommendations for me to continue what she's doing with my son. Goals are set at each period and we try to meet them, e.g. follow steps, identify 5 objects, action words etc. At 2 years old, NLARC added another therapy for my son which is Child Development Services/ Infant Stimulation Therapy. Ernesto is my son's therapist for this service. He is also great! I have lots of questions regarding my son's behavior and development and he answers them patiently and explain everything to me, he even brought a book as reference for our topic. Their Supervisor Dara is also awesome! She evaluates my son's progress and works/plays with him well even though she's technically a stranger for him cos he has only seen him twice but she got my son to play with him unlike the other evaluator who would just stop trying just because he's shy. The office is so easy to contact, whenever I ask for paperwork they would easily send it to me! I love Optima Family Services, Keep it up! You help lots of kids and families. read more

Our son has been a client with Optima since he was 3 months old. Natacha has been our infant stimulation specialist and I honestly attribute my sons most significant gains to her. Her patience and her persistence with our son is so endearing and we are so lucky to have had her in our sons thearpy. Optima has the most professional staff and policies. They are very on schedule with evaluations and writing assessments in a timely manner. I'd chose optima all over again if I had the opportunity. Brielle was assesed via dayc -2. Someone came into our home. Her name was CAROLINA ROMERO. I had never met a more standoffish person in my life. She never introduced herself. Never said hi to my daughter who was a little over 2 and a half. Just a cold fish. She refused to smile the entire time. Toddlers should have to adjust to other people's attitudes that wasn't the assignment. So the beginning of the the assessment Brielle was just trying to get the lady to smile and when she couldn't achieve that she melted down a little. When we got the results back my husband and i laughed a bit because we asked each other if Carolina was in the same room as all of us. None of the skills that she claims Brielle didn't demonstrate were even asked of Brielle to show. I mean the whole interview not one of the questions were asked. Clearly the question my husband or myself should of asked her is if she had any kids or if she thought she could smile cause shes scaring our daughter and making her feel uncomfortable. read more

My little Mia & I are very blessed to have had Karen Galicia assigned to us as her teacher. Karen is very caring and shows great passion in her profession. She takes the time to explain to Mia what they are working on, and explains in detail the benefits of the task to me. Karen is very very good in handling my little Mia's curiosity and short attention span. I can't express enough how Karen has made this whole process of weekly sessions very enjoyable & comfortable by her caring professionalism. I was referred to Optima Family service by Pomona regional center. My baby was 11 month when we started the service in June 2020 virtually for about two months then I need to stop. First, their scheduling system is very sloppy. I had encounter 2 teachers. both keep changing times all the time, and I don't have a consistent schedule at all. I was also in another occupational therapy with another organization called step by step. With them I have a consistent schedule and auto notification one day before. Changing time is very rare with their teachers. After comparison, Optima is really bad. Second, I had a bad experience Erika Daly. She focuses on herself more than baby. There's one time, she kept talking about herself for the entire session. Also, she made inappropriate comments about my husband and my marriage. Plus, she kept my baby sitting in the highchair for the entire 50mins session every week. Baby is only around one year old! Even adult needs to take a break. Now my baby is really against sitting in high chair. I tried to do this way for 2months then I just could not take it anymore. This is just my personal experience. I hope they can improve and provide families in need with better service. read more

Where do I begin! Karen is an awesome teacher. My son Jacob just finished his services because he turned 3. Karen was a blessing to us and my son since he was 10months old! She is so nurturing, patient, accommodating and creative! She always communicated with us and gave us thorough reports. I have a one year old kiddo. She receives services from an Infant Stimulation Therapist through Optima Family Services. The Infant Stimulation therapist that we work with is named Andrea M. She is awesome!!! She is very easy to communicate with, about scheduling our therapies and what not. She is also very understanding because she is also a mother and she knows that kids can get sick at any moment, as well as feel tons better. She and I are able to coordinate the appointment schedules almost always a month in advanced. I am very flexible with her and she with me. I have had to go out of town with the family a few times and as long as I have been able to let Andrea know about these changes in our usual schedules, we are almost always able to get in all of our sessions. Andrea has always been wonderful with my daughter. When she started to work with my daughter, we were working on my daughter reaching some of her fine and gross motor skills. Many of these goals were ones that we'd planned on meeting or exceeding, and did. My daughter loves to sing songs and clap with Andrea. I'm sure my daughter thinks that Infant Stimulation therapy is play time for her, and it is, but it has helped her to reach so many of her goals. I cannot thank Optima Family Services enough for pairing us up with someone like Andrea. We won't have anyone else but her! read more

My son Nickolas is a year and half with down syndrome. We were referred to Optima through Pomona Regional Center to receive infant services. His infant specialist is Shibon. She has been more than great to our family. She goes above and beyond for my son Nickolas and thanks to her he has met each and every goal we've set. I definitely see a major difference since he began working with Shibon. Being a part of the Down Syndrome community is new to me and I always have questions and concerns that Shibon has never failed to answer. Optima family services is a great community program that offers infant simulation therapy. I have worked with Nelly and Genesis for the past few weeks and I could not be any more happier. They are professional, come to the appointment on time, dedicate 100% of their attention on my son, and I have seen an improvement in his behavior. Since I'm a working mom they understand I miss out on the therapy sessions. Both therapist go out of their way to inform me on how the sessions went and offer a copy of the session notes. The therapist are highly skilled and know exactly how to work with my son who is two years old. Optima family services has been a great resource for me and my son and I am extremely pleased with how the progress has come along.
