The therapy is play based and she makes it fun! We consider her more than our therapist, but a friend. Cheryl is amazing as well. She is sweet and is great at getting shy kids to open up. I call back the next week "you're actually not covered". I personally call my insurance and within 5 min, they verify that services are covered. This goes on back and forth with my husband and I and this office until the beginning of Feb in which i get an appt in wi the doctor. This office staff will NOT call you back and you pretty much will have to chase them down yourself. My kid is lucky that i am a healthcare provider and understand how insurances otherwise it would've taken even longer. I wouldn't even have gone here if it were not for a referral from my wonderful pediatrician. Dr Fernando on the other hand, is great to work with. Very professional and super smart. He gives us a lot of tips and ways we can help our kiddo.

Nessa was consistently unprofessional, disorganized, and disrespectful. Nessa would cancel appointments last-minute and schedule makeup sessions without notifying us, even after we explicitly asked to be informed. Our requests were completely ignored. When we tried to address our concerns directly and requested a meeting with Nessa, she never responded. She refused to answer scheduling questions and address our communication issues. For someone who promotes herself as collaborative and compassionate, Nessa proved to be the opposite -- prioritizing her own convenience over the families she's supposed to help. Thankfully, we switched to another speech provider who has been professional, responsive, and effective. Our son has made great progress in a short time. Let's Blossom may have good therapists, but Nessa is not one of them.

To other families: do your research. Multiple negative reviews about Nessa and Let's Blossom exist on Google and Glassdoor, including one where Let's Blossom owner, Nessa, allegedly "belittled, attacked, and emotionally abused" a student reviewer. We found Let's Blossom through our child's school and wish we had looked deeper before signing on. Nessa prioritizes herself and her convenience over the children and families she's supposed to help. Please learn from our experience. Update: I want to respond to Nessa's misinformation in her reply. First, this was not a "miscommunication." We clearly communicated to Nessa and her staff at least three times that we wanted to be informed of any scheduled appointments. Despite this, Nessa told us directly that as long as my child is in school and due for make-up sessions, she would go ahead and schedule them without our knowledge and permission. Second, Nessa stated she had hoped to connect -- but in our case, she chose not to connect. We raised our concerns multiple times and even requested a meeting to address them directly. She never responded to our meeting request and refused to answer our scheduling questions or discuss communication issues. A truly collaborative provider who cares about their clients and families would have spoken with us -- but she did not. Given Nessa's unprofessional conduct and misinformation, Nessa lost our family's trust.

When he first attended he was 3yo and nonverbal, showing capacity for speech but not yet using any words. Prior to Teresa we had two other SLPs and the fit and match was never quite right (either with my son nor us as parents). Teresa has been phenomenal from the start - patient, calm, warm, engaging, and incredibly apt in her assessment and interventions with my son. He graduated from speech two months ago and the relationship he built with Teresa is so clear from his fondness of her. He has made tremendous progress, which is evident from going from nonverbal and using sounds to communicate to sentences, correct pronunciation, context, and ongoing conversation. Teresa is knowledgeable, sharp, and creative in the methods she utilizes to engage with my son. Additionally, Rosa (office staff extraordinaire) is so easy to work with and communicative. We have never had issues with scheduling, cancellations, and each visit she is so friendly that my son was disappointed if she wasn't there during a visit. All the staff are generally extremely friendly as we've had some one-off sessions with other providers over the years due to availability. For a very very brief period of time my son also had OT services but the OT therapist left the clinic and they have since stopped taking my insurance for OT. While we are extremely grateful and thankful that my son no longer meets criteria for speech services, we are sad and definitely miss the visits and relationship with Teresa and everyone at SGV speech. My son just graduated out of speech and we are over the moon…read more As I'm writing this, I'm reflecting on the mind blowing progress my son has made in just 3 years with the incredible help of Mrs. Teresa. When we first started here, my son was speech delayed and no one understood the few words he did say. Mrs. Teresa was able to target his problem areas and gave my son the tools he needed to communicate clearly and effectively. Mrs. Teresa is kind, gentle, patient, stern when needed, and truly invested in my son's growth and progress. They worked hard together during sessions, and she always rewarded my son with play time at the end which he appreciated. She always pushed and challenged him -- every session the improvement was undeniable. My son is a better speaker, a more confident communicator, and is able to focus and apply himself so much more now. I have a daughter at a different clinic who has now seen several different therapists, and I truly don't think with them all combined they could do what Mrs. Teresa does. She is an expert in the field and my son and I were truly blessed to work with her! Shout out to Miss Rosa who runs a tight ship! She truly keeps everything running smoothly, handles everything from scheduling to billing to whatever else falls on her lap, and she always does it with a welcoming and warm smile. She's the first and last face we see -- the face of the company. It's bitter sweet to say goodbye. Thank you sooooo much to Mrs. Teresa & Miss Rosa for being a part of our lives for the past 3 years.

My daughter worked with two OT therapists before meeting Kiana, but neither were as thorough or as helpful as her. I cannot thank Kiana enough for her incredible patience and for taking the time to explain almost everything she works on with my daughter. A big thank you also goes to Hannah for being just as amazing when she stepped in to cover. My daughter also worked with another covering therapist Carrie, and she was just as helpful and kind. Overall, every therapist we've encountered here seems to give 100% to each child. I fully trust that my daughter will always have a positive and productive experience every time she comes.

Melissa Ahamad, (SLPA) started working with my son when he was at 15 months old my son cannot say anything other than Mama and Papa. Fastforward to today, he is now 2years old and has over 80 words though not perfectly pronounced but still a big big improvement from how he was before. We started with sign languages then to minimal words. He hits himself when he cannot express his emotions, so when he started to use and understand the word NO, hitting was gone. It's such a relief. Kids express themselves better through language. At the end of each session, Melissa would give me recommendations for me to continue what she's doing with my son. Goals are set at each period and we try to meet them, e.g. follow steps, identify 5 objects, action words etc. At 2 years old, NLARC added another therapy for my son which is Child Development Services/ Infant Stimulation Therapy. Ernesto is my son's therapist for this service. He is also great! I have lots of questions regarding my son's behavior and development and he answers them patiently and explain everything to me, he even brought a book as reference for our topic. Their Supervisor Dara is also awesome! She evaluates my son's progress and works/plays with him well even though she's technically a stranger for him cos he has only seen him twice but she got my son to play with him unlike the other evaluator who would just stop trying just because he's shy. The office is so easy to contact, whenever I ask for paperwork they would easily send it to me! I love Optima Family Services, Keep it up! You help lots of kids and families.

TLR- go to this company if you really don't care to actually get your child consistent help & also the receptionist always answers the calls as if I'm calling her personal phone.
