So...my mother took her 93 toyota camry to get some engine work done..when they picked up the car my step dad told her none of the lights worked..so this morning we took it back and the mechanic started yelling at my mom and telling her he didn't do sh#! To her car she must of done something and he refused to fix it..after spending 1400 dollars you would think that they would appreciate their customers..i would not recommend this place to my worst enemy..besides the fact that their customer service skills suck..save your money and go somewhere better because ull come here with one problem and leave with another and they will b rude and refuse to fix it so save your time energy and money..i will not be recommending them to anyone and my friends and family that do come here i will make sure to spread it throughout that this place sucks read more

There is nothing bad to say about this shop, I will not go to another one while I live in Reno. I have had them put a new carburetor, clutch assembly, flywheel, and numerous other parts on my 84 Jeep. They always show you the broken parts when you come to pick up your vehicle and never charge you for bogus work that you don't need or sandbag the job! Glen and Frank are always very friendly and answer any questions I had about my car too! I recommend them to anybody I come across that need work done! read more

Not a good experience. The garage looks like a cave/ dump, dirty and unkept and security of your vehicle is weak if left outside; it's an industrial area. The quality of the mechanics is questionable; they really aren't mechanics and hardly qualify as "parts changers". I had them install a transmission per estimate and was overcharged nearly $300.00. Next, I find a weird noise from the flywheel area and a major Rear Engine seal leak.It was not leaking before they worked on it and I suspect they damaged the rear seal when installing the flywheel on the end of the crankshaft. When I questioned them about their work, they became very defensive and denied they did anything that may have caused the leak. You would think paying $90 per hour for labor would you would get good results; not so. I would not recommend this garage to anyone. If you're going to pay that much per hour, take it somewhere where it is clean and you aren't treated like a jerk just because you question the quality of their work. They said I needed to work on my relationship with them. I don't want a relationship with them, what I wanted was good reliable mechanic work and I did not get it. I'm not their friend, i WAS a customer but never again. They are bad news. read more

I do a considerable amount of work on my own vehicles, so I know my way around engines pretty well. When I cant do my own work, primarily due to the scope of the project or the equipment necessary, I call on Glen and the guys. I moved here right after the flood of "97". After going in person to several shops in the Reno area and asking detailed Questions about the problem I was having Glenn's shop was the only logical place to stop looking any further. He knew exactly what the issue was with asking me two questions. Glenn knows automobiles since that day he has been my source to take care of all my automotive needs and he uses High Quality parts without me asking for them so I won't have to visit him for the same job again a year or two later. Since then He takes care of a "75" T/A, "81" Z28, "95" Sable, "96" Jeep, "08" Chrysler 300, and a Ford Super Duty Shuttle Bus. As You can see here his Knowledge is extensive for vehicles. The BLAZING WRENCH team is led by Frank who has extensive knowledge with vehicles as well and a combination of their expertise makes them the BEST AUTOMOTIVE SHOP here in the Reno Area. I so wanted to be able to give an overall 5 star rating and I told them that when I first contacted them. I will give them 5 stars for friendliness and fairness. I contacted Blazing Wrenches on a Friday morning on the recommendation of my son-in-law when the transmission went out on my van. I was told they would have it back to me in a week. The next Friday it wasn't ready and I was told it would be another few days...-1/2 star. I picked the car up on Tuesday and it seemed to run just fine. Thursday night I left work at 6:30pm and my car wouldn't start. I thought it might be the battery but it wouldn't start after my son-in-law tried to jump it. He found that the emissions hose was hanging loose and once he connected it to the starter, it started right up. I took the car in the next day and they fixed it...-1/2 star. Then I started seeing leaks on my garage floor and took it in. Transmission fluid was leaking around a bolt so they put some silicone on the bolt to stop the leak...-1/2 star. I started hearing a roaring noise that came and went for no apparent reason. Took it in again and they found a loose bolt...-1/2 star. I think that after 3 weeks and 4 visits everything is working as it should. read more
