My daughter loves the pizza at Blaze but I just can't come to this location anymore because it is just beyond filthy. The soda machine ice dispenser is caked in mold, the bathrooms are REPULSIVE (thick layers of dirt on floor, walls, in sinks), and the whole place from the floors to the tables is just gross. I've always heard that if a restaurant is willing to keep the public areas filthy, just imagine how filthy the unseen places are (i.e. back of the kitchen). First of all I would like to start off by saying I am a routine customer of Blaze Pizza franchise. However, when visiting the San Clemente location I was very disappointed in my experience. I had an issue with my order and tried to talk with customer service but they were extremely dismissive of me despite my simple request (I asked for a receipt or credit for my purchase on the rewards app since I accidentally threw out my receipt). I always kept my responses kind and professional but they ghosted me after two 1 sentence responses that were obviously condescending and low-effort. They could have simply said it was not possible instead of ignoring my question and giving rude responses but instead felt the need to give rude responses and end up ghosting me after I politely responded. 1/10 service would not recommend to anyone. This is one of the best Blaze Pizza location that I have been to. I like how spacious it is inside. There is a huge patio on the outside. The whole place is very modern and updated. For a Blaze Pizza, it has a high-end feel. This place is much better than the location that I regularly go to in Garden Grove. The service: I ordered through the Blaze App for pickup. My pizza wasn't ready by the time I arrived. It was okay and expected since it was during rush dinner hours. I didn't mind waiting for a couple more minutes. The employees were nice and apologized about it. The food: The pizza was delicious. I am the type of person who wants a lot of toppings on my pizza. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This place is ran by children. I have never seen an adult manager here in all the years I have come to this Blaze and it shows in their daily operations. I am not sure if this is a corporate store or franchise but this place should embarrassed by the complete lack of customer service they "believe" they are providing. Tonight when I arrived with my family at 5:25pm, there was only 4 people working and the "to-go" orders were already significantly backed up when we got to the counter. It took until 6:21pm for us to finally pay for our order after the manager worked through the backlog of "to-go" orders. By 6:47pm, our order was ready, burnt to the crips I might add. The trash was overflowing. The bathrooms were without soap and paper towels (I will be reporting this restaurant to the Health Department as well). The soda fountain was completely empty except for sprite and orange Fanta. No iced tea or any other beverages. No napkins to be found in the entire restaurant. First impressions are everything. Learned that from my folks as a kid. And holy cow did I get a bad first impression from Blaze Pizza at the San Clemente outlet mall. No one greeted us when we arrived, the restaurant was dirty, bathrooms filthy, and all the employees were just standing behind the counter chit chatting. The food was ready after about 10 min and was okay. I asked the worker behind the counter if I could get 2 extra plates for my friends and I to share the pizza. He responded by looking for more plates, couldn't find any, then told me they don't give out plates to customers. This place needs some training. Would be open to trying a Blaze pizza elsewhere but never this location again. Customer service goes a long way and these good balls working here need some training. read more

The young man who was taking my order seemed a bit confused as I was ordering, also I asked for mushrooms on the pizza and all they had left in the tub was a small bit of scraps at the bottom and he literally tipped it to the side and brushed the remnants from the bottom on to the dough.
