A chaotic rhis evening but overall a good experience. A very nice lady and son let us have their table. It can get very loud in there. Service is great. We have visited Pizza Port multiple times, and the pizza is consistently excellent. However, today we were quite taken aback by the service. While we were still enjoying our meal and had half a pint of beer left, an employee approached our table without any prior notice and discarded our pizza tray, which still contained two slices covered by a plate. I had intended to take those slices home for my daughter. The whole incident occurred so quickly (we were in the middle of a conversation) that by the time we realized what had happened, it was too late. When we expressed our disappointment, the employee merely suggested we could get another pizza downstairs and walked away without offering an apology. While I understand it was just two slices, I had already told my daughter that I would be bringing some pizza home. I could have ordered another pizza, but the wait time was too long. Additionally, we noticed that two glasses of beer and napkins from previous customers remained on the table for the entire time we were there. It raises the question of why those items weren't taken instead of our pizza. As a suggestion, I recommend requesting the pizza to go. This is a review on management/ownership. The pizza is fantastic and the beer is excellent. On Yelp and Google, it states that the restaurant in San Clemente is open until 10. The kitchen closes at 9. So, if a customer double checks online, drives down, and arrives :59 minutes prior to close, you will not get dinner. I have no problem if a place wants to close whenever they want, but just post your closing time accurately the commonly used places like Yelp and Google. Unacceptable! read more

The portion and toppings are so generous that one larger size is enough for a group of six people to share or quickly grab a snack. We are from the central coast. This was our second time having Pizza Port. The Morro Bay location was our first pizza dining experience. Both locations are great. This location has an urban feel mixed with a cozy ambiance. The Morro Bay location is more beach-friendly with an open space outdoor patio. Speaking of Pizza Port, while we were at the Los Angeles International Airport, one security officer looked quite serious. I assumed he was a fan of this place or at least a Pizza aficionado, because when he saw my husband wearing the Pizza Port T-shirt he flashed a very sweet smile with satisfaction. read more

Very cool design place, has two floors with a bar on each floor and arcade upstairs. Surf ambiance. Pizza was delicious and so were the teriyaki wings. Food was very fresh. Only complaints are that it took 20 min to get my wings and another 25 min to get my pizza. Also, it was very busy as I went in on a Saturday for lunch. Seating was very limited. I've visited this location once before. It's the only Pizza Port outside of San Diego, glad it's here. Food is fantastic and great selection of beers. Staff are friendly, Professional and provide fast service. Really glad the food is made fresh to order. The interiror is a little messy but that's part of the aesthetic so it's ok. The restrooms look decently clean so that's a plus. Parking is a little tough sometimes but a walk never hurt anyone. The San Clemente location is a two story brewpub with many benches, outdoor seating, and even arcade games. We decided to get half Pizza Monterrey and half Pizza Bressi Ranch. The only recommendation I would make is for the employees to walk around more often and clean up the dirty tables after people leave because we can never grab a clean table when we get there :/ it is very loud in there just a heads up if you want a quiet dining experience this wouldn't be it . I am now vegan and I was a little concerned about what my options would be. I parked on Avenida de la Estrella, then later moved my car to the parking lot (you do know that they have one, right?) Pretty decent crowd for a Friday afternoon. I needn't have worried about the vegan options. I got the Laguna vegan-style with plant-based cheez. I don't know what brand they use, but the pizza was just as good as I remembered, and my colleague didn't seem to notice the difference. I don't know if I had ever tried the Belgian Tripel before, but it definitely hit the mark, and my colleague enjoyed one as well. I warned her that it was deceptively strong. While entering toward the second-floor parking lot, my daughter slipped on what appeared to be discarded pieces of salad near the stairwell. This posed a serious hazard, and it's unacceptable that no preventative cleaning or signage was in place. As a general manager in the restaurant industry, I understand that accidents happen -- but how they're handled is what defines your operation. When I brought the issue to the manager on duty, it was met with a dismissive and careless attitude. No guest complaint form was offered, no apology was extended, and no effort was made to make things right. At the very least, we should have been offered a complimentary meal -- especially given that we were there to enjoy dinner, and it's not easy for families to dine out in today's economy. This situation was not only poorly managed, but it showed a lack of regard for guest safety and hospitality. I expect a follow-up on how your team plans to address this issue, both in terms of cleanliness and customer service, to ensure no other guest has to experience this. Though bartender here was rude, didn't want to take the time to talk about the beers, make recommendations.
