Tonight we had a large pepperoni and tomato pizza, Caesar salad, beer buddies and buffalo wings. If you're not familiar with the process, you order at the counter on the lower level. And they'll call your name. Beer is served at the bar and soft drinks. You can order at the counter and their soft stations on two levels. There is street parking but also a lot on the upper level in back. Great for families as they have a small arcade and they have sports usually playing depending on the season Pizza was pretty decent although they put the toppings underneath the cheese. This was the pepperoni and the tomato. The tomatoes were scolding hot. Next time I would definitely ask for the toppings to be on top. Beer buddy always a classic. Caesar salad was pretty basic and the wings were probably the worst part of the meal. I noticed that they use the pizza oven to cook the wings. I probably would've asked for them to be run through twice. They were just very soggy and the buffalo sauce it wasn't that it was spicy. It was almost oddly stringent tasting. The five dollar beers were a good value. Overall, it's like an OK value, especially when there's other pizza and Italian places in town and in the area that you can choose from. The portion and toppings are so generous that one larger size is enough for a group of six people to share or quickly grab a snack. We are from the central coast. This was our second time having Pizza Port. The Morro Bay location was our first pizza dining experience. Both locations are great. This location has an urban feel mixed with a cozy ambiance. The Morro Bay location is more beach-friendly with an open space outdoor patio. Speaking of Pizza Port, while we were at the Los Angeles International Airport, one security officer looked quite serious. I've visited this location once before. It's the only Pizza Port outside of San Diego, glad it's here. Food is fantastic and great selection of beers. Staff are friendly, Professional and provide fast service. Really glad the food is made fresh to order. The interiror is a little messy but that's part of the aesthetic so it's ok. The restrooms look decently clean so that's a plus. Parking is a little tough sometimes but a walk never hurt anyone. The San Clemente location is a two story brewpub with many benches, outdoor seating, and even arcade games. We decided to get half Pizza Monterrey and half Pizza Bressi Ranch. We have visited Pizza Port multiple times, and the pizza is consistently excellent. However, today we were quite taken aback by the service. While we were still enjoying our meal and had half a pint of beer left, an employee approached our table without any prior notice and discarded our pizza tray, which still contained two slices covered by a plate. I had intended to take those slices home for my daughter. The whole incident occurred so quickly (we were in the middle of a conversation) that by the time we realized what had happened, it was too late. When we expressed our disappointment, the employee merely suggested we could get another pizza downstairs and walked away without offering an apology. While I understand it was just two slices, I had already told my daughter that I would be bringing some pizza home. I could have ordered another pizza, but the wait time was too long. Additionally, we noticed that two glasses of beer and napkins from previous customers remained on the table for the entire time we were there. It raises the question of why those items weren't taken instead of our pizza. As a suggestion, I recommend requesting the pizza to go. From 11 months ago To Whom It May Concern, I'm writing to formally report a safety incident that occurred at your Pizza Port location on July 10 at approximately 8:10 PM. While entering toward the second-floor parking lot, my daughter slipped on what appeared to be discarded pieces of salad near the stairwell. This posed a serious hazard, and it's unacceptable that no preventative cleaning or signage was in place. As a general manager in the restaurant industry, I understand that accidents happen -- but how they're handled is what defines your operation. When I brought the issue to the manager on duty, it was met with a dismissive and careless attitude. No guest complaint form was offered, no apology was extended, and no effort was made to make things right. At the very least, we should have been offered a complimentary meal - especially given that we were there to enjoy dinner, and it's not easy for families to dine out in today's economy. This situation was not only poorly managed, but it showed a lack of regard for guest safety and hospitality. I expect a follow-up on how your team plans to address this issue, both in terms of cleanliness and customer service, to ensure no other guest has to experience this. Our first time coming to this business. We went by the reviews. We called in our order on May 22nd. We ordered 3 Large Pizzas, 1 Large Roma, 1 Large Meat Extreme Meat, 1 Large Solana & 3 Pretzels. I ordered a special custom pizza with jalapeños, ricotta cheese, pineapples, red onions, and pepperoni, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The only recommendation I would make is for the employees to walk around more often and clean up the dirty tables after people leave because we can never grab a clean table when we get there :/ it is very loud in there just a heads up if you want a quiet dining experience this wouldn't be it .
