Pizza port is very nostalgic for us. We are locals, but we haven't been here in a very long time. My adult kid likes to come here because of the memories. Tonight we had a large pepperoni and tomato pizza, Caesar salad, beer buddies and buffalo wings. If you're not familiar with the process, you order at the counter on the lower level. And they'll call your name. Beer is served at the bar and soft drinks. You can order at the counter and their soft stations on two levels. There is street parking but also a lot on the upper level in back. Great for families as they have a small arcade and they have sports usually playing depending on the season Pizza was pretty decent although they put the toppings underneath the cheese. This was the pepperoni and the tomato. The tomatoes were scolding hot. Next time I would definitely ask for the toppings to be on top. Beer buddy always a classic. Caesar salad was pretty basic and the wings were probably the worst part of the meal. I noticed that they use the pizza oven to cook the wings. I probably would've asked for them to be run through twice. They were just very soggy and the buffalo sauce it wasn't that it was spicy. It was almost oddly stringent tasting. The five dollar beers were a good value. Overall, it's like an OK value, especially when there's other pizza and Italian places in town and in the area that you can choose from. You order at the counter down below and they call your food as each item is ready. Pizza came out first so we started there. Not my favorite pizza. Very doughy and soft, the sauce is a little sweet. My 13/14 year old LOVED the pizza so who am I to criticize. Next came the baked wings. Ask for them well done so they come out crispy and yummy. I appreciate that these are not fried and seed oils. These were the gem of the meal. Only thing I would change is the freezing cold wing sauce they put on the side from the refrigerator. But def a winner. Next came out the salad, we got the port salad with roasted butternut squash, grilled portobello's, Argus and loads of blue cheese. This salad was FIRE!!! The only knock is they don't make their own dressing so you get a little side of plastic canister of Ken's salad dressing, which is a decent dressing but full of canola and soybean oil next time I would probably bring my own dressing or just squeeze some lemon on it and put some olive oil that I brought with me, but that's just me being picky. I've visited this location once before. It's the only Pizza Port outside of San Diego, glad it's here. Food is fantastic and great selection of beers. Staff are friendly, Professional and provide fast service. Really glad the food is made fresh to order. The interiror is a little messy but that's part of the aesthetic so it's ok. The restrooms look decently clean so that's a plus. Parking is a little tough sometimes but a walk never hurt anyone. Im on the side of 5 stars for this spot. The pizza is awesome and well priced. I love that you can hop in and grab a slice or two and a beer without breaking the bank. The San Clemente location is a two story brewpub with many benches, outdoor seating, and even arcade games. We decided to get half Pizza Monterrey and half Pizza Bressi Ranch. I had low expectations but the pizza was honestly good! Hefty toppings. Good sauces. The Bressi Ranch is super unique and delicious. Location is a little busy. Also gets really hot inside. We split a medium pizza into two halves ($24-$25ish): -Pizza Lahaina: Canadian style bacon, pineapple, bell peppers, and onions -Pizza Roma: Canadian style bacon, pepperoni, sausage, salami, onions, olives, bell peppers + mushrooms Order the Lahaina if you love a good pineapple pizza. This is a review on management/ownership. The pizza is fantastic and the beer is excellent. On Yelp and Google, it states that the restaurant in San Clemente is open until 10. The kitchen closes at 9. So, if a customer double checks online, drives down, and arrives :59 minutes prior to close, you will not get dinner. I have no problem if a place wants to close whenever they want, but just post your closing time accurately the commonly used places like Yelp and Google. Unacceptable! read more

We have visited Pizza Port multiple times, and the pizza is consistently excellent. However, today we were quite taken aback by the service. While we were still enjoying our meal and had half a pint of beer left, an employee approached our table without any prior notice and discarded our pizza tray, which still contained two slices covered by a plate. I had intended to take those slices home for my daughter. The whole incident occurred so quickly (we were in the middle of a conversation) that by the time we realized what had happened, it was too late. When we expressed our disappointment, the employee merely suggested we could get another pizza downstairs and walked away without offering an apology. While I understand it was just two slices, I had already told my daughter that I would be bringing some pizza home. I could have ordered another pizza, but the wait time was too long. Additionally, we noticed that two glasses of beer and napkins from previous customers remained on the table for the entire time we were there. It raises the question of why those items weren't taken instead of our pizza. As a suggestion, I recommend requesting the pizza to go. That way, it comes in a box and is less likely to get tossed. read more

The only recommendation I would make is for the employees to walk around more often and clean up the dirty tables after people leave because we can never grab a clean table when we get there :/ it is very loud in there just a heads up if you want a quiet dining experience this wouldn't be it . There is an upper and a lower level with tables on both levels. Upstairs, they have a small arcade and another bar top. There is also a patio on the lower level to dine outside.
