Came for the Friday lunch buffet with my husband and son. The owner seemed a bit frantic and running around, so we had to wait quite a while before we were helped. She made a vegetarian/pepperoni pizza together, which meant I could only have the cheese pizza since I don't eat meat. That wasn't ideal. The salad and pizza we did have were good. Worst Father's Day ever. We paid $72.97 for one large pizza and two small pizzas, plus a $15 tip and delivery. The delivery took an hour and 40 minutes, one pizza was missing, and half of the toppings were missing on another. I spoke to the owner and requested a full refund for the order, thinking that was probably the minimum they would do for us, but she told me she can't refund any online orders. She offered to give me a free small pizza next time I come in. I said that was unacceptable customer service, and so she said she would give me coupons for two small pizzas next time I come in. I said that two small pizzas next time is a ridiculous offer for a $73 order with missing and incorrect items that was an hour and 40 minutes late. She said, "You don't want the free pizzas? Okay, honey." And she hung up on me. So now, we are out $73 with only one small pizza ordered correctly. I am going to dispute the charge for this order with my bank as a fraudulent transaction. Dear Round Table, The bathrooms were disgusting, Looked like it never have been cleaned before . The ice bucket had brown stuff on the outside of the bucket. The plates were dirty. They had no napkins in the napkin holders. Salad bar had soft croutons. I found something crunchy in the pizza. Pizza was burnt on top. The seats were sticky. Would not recommend to comhere ever. I ordered a pizza online for delivery around 5pm for drop off at 8:30pm. By 8:45pm no pizza had been delivered. I started calling the location and had to call maybe 15 plus times to get someone to answer the phone. After someone picked up the phone finally they said oh there was some issue and had to turn the oven back on to make the pizza. So they clearly weren't answering the phone because they were getting ready to close. My boyfriend went and picked up the pizza and shortly after the owner called me and apologized and let me know she will give me a credit for a free large pizza. I called today to get my free pizza and Susan answered the phone. She was incredibly rude, let me know there was no credit under my phone number. Such a great staff and an amazing owner! About once a week my boyfriend and I go on a "day date" to enjoy their all you can eat salad and pizza buffet ($14.99/pp from 11am - 2pm) which also comes with a fountain drink. We are always greeted by the owner with warm smiles, a few laughs and great food which is one of the reasons we began coming here weekly. The salad bar is always stocked with so many options and always fresh! The owner is constantly putting out fresh and tasty pizza! (Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Veggie, etc.) The interior is large with tons of booths, tv's and games for the kiddos.....or for you if you're still a kid at heart. Everyone leaving negative reviews should sit and watch the staff and be appreciative of their food. I've grown up on round table pizza and the quality and taste is still there. I have been to this location in beautiful San Clemente twice. Both occasions right when they open at 11:00. I have had Superior service and delicious pizza, and wings the first time, on both visits. The lovely woman who waited on me and perhaps even made my pizza was very sweet. I assume she is an owner, but I don't know for sure and I don't know her name. Just a quickie about my most recent experience. I ordered a delivery of an extra large King Arthur's Supreme. This is a "Legendary Combination of Pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, linguica, mushrooms, green peppers, yellow onions, black olives on zesty red sauce. I ordered as-is, with no adds or changes to the ingredients. I did request they cut it into 8 pieces and not 16. Even with the extra large, the 16 just makes the slices too small. I'm not feeding a gaggle of the kid's friends, just several adults that can handle the larger slice. I signed up for the rewards program and ended up getting a free order of Garlic Parmesan Twists: "Garlic Parmesan Twists are rolled fresh daily and baked to perfection with fresh garlic, our three-cheese blend and Parmesan cheese." It was not my intention to get these along with the pizza, but hey, they were free so I put them on the order. Pizza came to the house in a timely manner, after being well notified of the progress from cooking to order pick up to the timing of the drive by the DoorDash person bringing us the grub. The driver was very nice and appreciative of the cash tip I gave him. My compliments to the driver for the great service and being so nice. The King Arthur's Supreme was, well, supreme. Hot, goey cheese, fresh ingredients, great meats. Yum, Yum! I recommend this pizza to everyone, er, everyone that is not vegetarian or worse, vegan. Y'all are missing out! The garlic twists were good. If we had a crowd at the restaurant, I would order these for an appetizer. I do wish that the order came with the two marinara sauces I requested, but I got one marinara and one ranch. No big deal. Get some RounTable - at the restaurant, at home or bring it to the beach! I called to place a pick up order at 815 she said it'll be ready in 10 min, I arrived at 845 and everything was closed and off I saw her at the register and when I knocked she ran to the back. I called multiple times no answer. update - she finally picked up the phone and said she forgot she took my order her name is Judy, she said she shut down the oven then she says well it wasn't working. I told her it would've been nice to just say that when I called to place my order if they weren't accepting anymore . She didn't know what else to say I told her the establishment doesn't close until 9pm. Now I am left with no food and have to go back to work. My friends took me here last night for my birthday as I just wanted some comfort pizza. This was the worst experience ever. The owner was yelling at her staff in the front almost the entire time we were there. The woman she was yelling at the most looked so overwhelmed. The owner kept looking at me while she was yelling at the woman and I finally asked her to stop be raiding her employee and she started yelling at me saying she was worked with her for 21 years. It continued throughout our meal which we quickly packed up and left. When we did ask for a box they gave us a used one that we quickly swapped out. Please do not support this woman who treats her employ that way. When customers would walk in she would greet them and be so sweet and then immediately start yelling at the woman and two young guys. I went in around 2 weeks ago to pick up a pizza under my friends name. All I was told was to go pick it up. When I went in I told them I had an order under her name. They gave me a pizza, charged me for it, and I walked out. I called my friend to confirm the pizza and that I was on my way, we then realized that it was the wrong order and she had already pre paid for hers. I went back in and told them it was the wrong order, they then found the ticket order that was wrongfully scheduled for an hour later on behalf of my friend, I do understand that the error was our fault. They told me it would be about 15 minutes for the pizza to come out. no biggie. I watched as 3 men struggled to understand their system and how to even start the refund process. No one said anything to me as I waited. They handed me my pizza, I left. I know refunds take a couple days to process, but with halloween coming up and my life to live, it wasn't my top priority. I assumed it would be handled, I was wrong. Fast forward two weeks, I check my bank app, I had been charged, still, for the order. I called at 12:30, the manager/owner was busy so I was told to call back at 1. I call back at 1,the person who was there the day of the confusion picked up and told me he would talk to/leave a note for the manager/owner. I was told to call back later, I call back at 4, a lady picks up and tells me that she doesn't have time to deal with my dilemma as she is busy. I completely understand how it can get chaotic working in food, as I do too, but she was completely dismissive and rude. I call back the next day, around 11am, the same rude lady picks up, I tell her I'm calling again about the issue with a refund, she says that she cannot do anything about it and I have to call my bank to dispute it. I understand how working in food service, there are bound to be mistakes. I sympathize with that, but employees should know how/quickly be able to process refunds and very specific people there, rude lady, should work on their people skills. I'm not out to get you, i'm just looking for my 25 dollars back. This shouldn't even be something that I have to keep checking up on. If you can't process a refund quickly and simply, maybe it's time for an upgrade on your computer system and an upgrade on attitude with one person. Don't get upset with me because you can't do your job. If you, for some reason, ever end up here, you better check you are paying for exactly what you ask for, because some employees can't check that. How come the only person who truly helped and seemed to even muster up the energy to act like he cared, was a young, probably highschool, boy. I genuinely appreciate his effort as that was the best service I had gotten out of anyone here, but that should be standard, not exceptional. read more

We've been going to Round Table Pizza all over California for nearly 40 years. This was the first time we've ever had a bad experience. We ordered 2 large pizzas at the San Clemente location via Yelp, after we couldn't get the Round Table app to work. This seemed like a reasonable option to calling and ordering over the phone. We paid for the pizzas on the Yelp app, even after we couldn't get a recently released promo code to work. Our son and daughter in law went to pick up the pizzas and encountered an issue with the employee at the location. She complained about us ordering via the Yelp app and scoffed at honoring the promo code. She was rude and said we cost her 30% by ordering via Yelp. Easiest enough solution...We won't be ordering from this Round Table ever again. There are plenty of choices for Pizza in San Clemente. Take a look at Pizza Port for a pizza similar to Round Table, but without the attitude. read more

This parlor has been our favorite pizza for almost 40 yrs. It's always a special treat when we order it for it's expensive, but usually worth it. We had our first disappointment today with a large stuffed crust. What a disappointment!!!! Most of the cheese had un-stuffed itself which overwhelmed the pizza and left the crust very bready and very very bland. Like I said, this was our first bad experience here. I adore the manager but I also know that she would want to know how disappointed we were. We had it delivered otherwise we would have let her know right away if we had been in restaurant. My sister and I called in an order and came in 20 before closing time. The sweet lady was so kind, warm and welcoming. She was left working alone as well and got our 2 large pizzas out pretty quickly. Her name was Giddy (probably butchered the spelling) we also tipped her after she kindly refused multiple times. We ordered two pepperoni pizzas and appetizers to be delivered at 6pm on 10/25/24. At 615pm my wife called and asked if our order would be arriving soon. The person she talked to said the order had already left. We are one exit away.... At 6:44pm my wife called back and asked about our order and the person she spoke with said it's still on its way. Looking at the reviews made me laugh as everyone is complaining about the owner. She has a strong accent and she clearly an immigrant who is working hard to be successful. It's very much a cultural thing as I'm assuming where she is from the people aren't so damn soft. I asked one of the kids one time to blink twice if he needed help he laughed, shrugged and said it's no big deal. I've spoken to the lady she's very nice. She has high standards which I can appreciate. That being said one star off for all the telling. Now for the good stuff. I moved to OC in 2020 and just couldn't find a solid non gourmet pizza. B&C, A pizza Doho fall into that category. I'm talking a pick up pizza for late night or football. A rugged man's pizza. It took me 5 years to find it. I remembered Round Table from high school but it closed down and hadn't had it in a very long time. I don't remember it being this good. They are generous with toppings, the dough is soft and perfectly cooked, the sauce has the ideal ration. On top of all that the dine in experience has been great. There are plenty of tables, it's quiet for the most part AND The wife is always happy because there is a Handles ice cream next door Great pizza, good staff, peaceful atmosphere. It took 2.5 hours for delivery and after multiple phone calls during that period of time, all we got was "it will be there soon" and "we are short staffed". No communication on timing of delivery and no idea what was happening with our order and when to expect it. They ultimately sent it via Door Dash and we ate at 9:15pm (ordered around 6:40pm). After hearing her yelling in the background, I can confirm that other reviews about the manager/owner are accurate. Don't waste your time with this place.
