I came here to have a good slice and saw on their window, that they had a $10 pizza combo (as of the date of this review), that includes a medium-sized(?), two-topping pizza and a drink. You choose the toppings! Topping choices includes (not a full list): Pepperoni, Sausage, Spinach, Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Marinara Sauce, Alfredo Sauce, Pepperoncini, Olives, etc. During my visit, it was well-staffed - there was like four staff working the pizza orders and one cashier. Customer service was good as well. Dining area was pretty clean. Nice and air-y location. There's also outside patio seating if you'd like. They didn't give me a straw for my drink, but other than that, it's good eating here. read more

I seldom waste my time writing a review for a Chain establishment because the managers don't care about anything. But since I got one of the worst "customer service" in my lifetime today, ofcourse I am gonna write about it. First of all, the only girl (Marisa) that works there, has serious issues. She either hates her life or hates her job or perhaps both. If that is the case, I would suggest her to just quit so she doesn't make other people's lives miserable who are just simply want to eat at that restaurant. Her job was to just put the pizza in the oven, keep an eye on it and when it is time, take it out of the oven. Sounds pretty simple. But nope, not for this girl. She managed to burn our pizzas. And when I took it to her to show her, she tells me "This is how a pizza should look like." First of all, nobody talks to a customer like that. Second of all, nobody talks to ME like that. She continued with her disgusting attitude, saying that she is helping another "guy" and she can't talk to me. LOL No apologies. No nothing. All through my HORRIBLE dining experience, she was giving me a dirty look. And after 10 mins, she yells at me from the counter, saying that "Ok you can come here, I can talk to you"...... Which I answered, "Nope, you need to come here"..... And she mumbled something and never did. But the whole experience was sooo horrible. Getting this "customer service" in San Clemente was just unimaginable. I have no idea how she still has a job despite tons of Yelp reviews complaining about her. It is noteworthy to add that, the guy that seemed to be the manager, left the store before all this went down which was very strange. TL;DR: I should have gone to Subway instead! I recently earned an offer from Blaze Pizza for a $5 11" pizza since I hadn't been in a while. I also earned an offer from Subway for a $6.99 footlong sandwich. Between the two, I chose Blaze Pizza since a $5 pizza only comes once in a blue moon. I chose to redeem this offer at the San Clemente Blaze Pizza, which is located in the Outlets at San Clemente, right off the 5 freeway. Blaze Pizza is adjacent to Avenida Vista Hermosa, but you can also take the Avenida Pico exit to get to the outlet mall, which is on the opposite end of the huge parking lot. I came at about 8 PM, and no joke, the outlet mall felt like a ghost town! I could have sworn it was way busier when I stopped by a few years ago during the COVID days, but times have changed, and maybe the outlet mall gets less traffic these days? I barely saw anyone in the outdoor mall, and when I arrived at Blaze Pizza, there was only one other customer, but he had ordered his pizza to go, which left me as the only customer inside for some time. An employee (Patrick?) made my pizza, but he was seriously the most lifeless and dull Blaze Pizza employee I've ever witnessed to this day. Like his level of energy was commensurate with the level of activity going on in the mall that foggy night. He literally skimped on every topping I asked for on my pizza, and I should have seen it coming when I saw him add a minimal amount of garlic pesto sauce, which I didn't even taste at all! I could have asked for additional portions of everything, but I didn't feel comfortable with how zapped and vapid Patrick's demeanor was. I was afraid he would have groaned or something if I asked for extras of all the toppings I asked for. After paying for my pizza, I asked him how long it'd take, and he estimated about 6 minutes. Yup, that was accurate and also the only good thing about Patrick's service that evening. I also asked for a water cup, and he simply pointed towards them in front of the register. I set down my water cup and receipt on a table in the far corner by the restrooms to try to get some sanitizer there, but yuck, that table was pretty sticky! To make matters worse, the sanitizer dispenser was out of sanitizer. Luckily, they had another one by the pickup counter, which I used to clean my hands before eating my pizza. When I heard my name called, the girl who was finishing my pizza asked if I'd like some extra drizzles. I went with Buffalo and Ranch drizzles. They also had an option for arugula on top, which I couldn't say no to. I saw a sign that said they only offer "to go" boxes if you order "to go". I had already told Patrick I was willing to eat inside, but I still got a "to go" box. Okay? lol She also offered some parmesan and red pepper flakes, which I initially appreciated until she forgot to give them to me. Why even offer them if you were just going to forget them a minute later? lol she did give me two packets of each, but I only added one packet of each to my pizza. And let me tell you, even if I had added all four packets, it still wouldn't have done any good in enhancing the taste profile whatsoever. I strategically sat near a napkin dispenser for ease of access to them in case the pizza got overly greasy. The pizza did get pretty greasy, but I wouldn't really call it overly greasy. However, the charred bits on the underside of the pizza did stick to my fingers and likely caused me to enjoy the pizza less after each slice. That may have also explained why the last few toppings I ate on my pizza tasted kind of funny. The pizza still tasted good enough that I'm not giving 1 star to this Blaze Pizza even though the vibes were more dreary than upbeat. I especially liked how crispy the crust was, but the crust was thinned out so much that in conjunction with the skimpy toppings, it felt like I only ate half of the pizza I'm used to getting at the other locations. I was okay with eating a lesser pizza since I have been keeping an eye on my weight, but if I were super ultra voracious, I would have considered getting something from Asada Cantina + Kitchen, located just three doors down from Blaze Pizza, afterwards to satiate my appetite. There is ample seating inside the restaurant, and there's also an outdoor patio if you'd like to dine al fresco. In front of the front door was a signicade advertising Blaze Pizza's Pi Day. This year, you have to buy a pizza at regular price in order to get a (second) pizza for only $3.14. In the past, you'd just have to purchase one pizza for $3.14. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with my visit to this Blaze Pizza that, like I said in the first sentence of this review, I almost wish I had gone to a Subway instead. I'll still patronize Blaze Pizza, but I no longer have a reason to visit this location ever again after such an abysmal abomination of one of my favorite foods, not to mention the overall dull service and atmosphere here. read more

Yikes. Based off of others reviews, I'm not the only one who thinks the owner needs to get their establishment, food preparation, and employee customer service under wraps ASAP. First off, this location is so underprepared, they seem to turn off accepting online orders. Because of this, I can never place my order ahead of time. Going in store to order, my friend and I were the only customers in there. To begin, there were four employees on shift. The boy who started helping us seemed like it was his first day. He definitely needed help and his other coworkers out on the floor left him to fend for himself. I felt bad for him, honestly. One standing in the corner, one left to the back, and another sitting on top of the machine on her phone. Wow, we should have turned around right there but we were on our lunch breaks and desperately needed food. We ordered the 10.99 pick two special and stood in there for 30 minutes while the boy tried to figure out how long to cook it while his coworkers gazed around aimlessly/or were on their phones. When our pizzas were done they boxed them up without asking if we wanted any drizzle or letting us know they were ready. No eye contact, no communication, just silence and uneasiness. My pesto garlic cheesy bread arrived with no pesto or garlic and I had to ask them to add it, which the guy smirked and rolled his eyes at me, as if he couldn't do his job properly. My friend ordered the cinnamon bread, and they had ran out of the icing to go on top. The girl manager who, I can't even believe I have to say this, was itching her butt, who was also just on top of the machines on her phone, then without gloves started touching the food service area in an attempt to find the icing. She sent someone to the back to grab a piping bag of icing. She then took five minutes attempting to open it with her hands, scissors, knife, and then took it to the back to do who knows with it. Honestly such disgusting service could barely stomach our food. To whoever owns this place, please, please care about your business a little more. Orange County doesn't need any more restaurants failing their paying customers when we have so many better options read more

Made an online order and initially we started to order the build your own, which was $14 but there was a $10 pizza and drink special so we opted for that. I really miss having the red vine on the menu. I'm gonna have to kind of piece that one together someday However when I arrived to pick up my order, it looked like the employees were kind of goofy behind the counter. It also was looked dirty inside. The drink station was wet and dirty. The tables also did not look clean and the one I sat at while I waited was definitely not clean. There was no warmth or welcome when I approach the counter. I actually had a question about the menu and the female with the dark hair just gave me a two word answer. Additionally, I request requested verbally in person that the Pizza be cooked a little more than the average 3 1/2 minutes. It wasn't the pizzas were hot in the box and I took a look at them before I left the store and they were sparse with the toppings that we ordered. When I got home to actually eat the pizza, the marinara sauce tasted spicy or spoiled not quite sure, but definitely spicy as if pepper was in there or chili pepper and it was the most unenjoyable pizza I've had recently. Picked up an order yesterday, finished and packed by an awfully grumpy girl. We got it home and everybody else was very happy with theirs, but my pizza was almost completely green from what was supposed to be a pesto "drizzle." But far worse than that was that there was so much salt on my pizza as to be inedible ... and I love salt. In case you think I'm exaggerating, I had fasted from Sunday night until picking this up Wednesday night, so I was absolutely starving and could barely choke down one slice. So why the five star review? Anybody can have an off night, or an employee that needs to be retrained - we've always been very happy with Blaze over the years. When I told the manager about it and brought my mostly-uneaten pizza back the next day, he not only credited me for my pizza, but for the cost of the whole meal. Instead of this bad experience sticking in my mind forever, he gave me a good memory instead. Blaze Pizza offers a very cool experience by allowing you to make your own personalized pizza. It kind of reminds me of like Subway or Chipotle, but pizza. I think the ingredients are great, but I am not in love with their crust. I typically will go for Blaze when I need something quick, easy, and convenient. Also, I'm always a little wary regarding ingredients that are sitting out with no lids (like all the toppings), especially because I sometimes worry that one ingredient may drop into another. I've never had a bad experience, it's more just a fear of mine with this style of serving. It would be nice if the containers of toppings had lids. Lastly, everyone who works there have always been nice, but they seem mostly young and you can tell they're not super into working. It's all good though, ultimately, if you're looking for a pizza you create yourself, with unique ingredients, then Blaze is for you! Came here for 4th of July, only because everything else was closed. We had actually called ahead and they had told us they would be open normal business hours. When we got there at 7:30, after waiting in a very slow moving line, we asked if a table could be cleaned off, since all the tables were dirty. It was pretty filthy in there overall. The employee cut us off in the middle of talking, said they are too busy to clean any tables (so everyone just has to eat off of dirty ones wtf) and that he didnt care because they were closing early - after they had told us via phone they would be staying open normal hours. We specifically told the guy that we had watched a kid pick her nose for like 5 min straight and then bang her dirty hands all over the table (parent left her kid unattended while she waited in line for food) and he still wouldn't clean a table. We had to just take our very below average pizzas and leave. The kids who work here couldn't care less about their job or customer service and there were no adults in sight. Wow, this location has really gone downhill. We have come a couple of times in the past few months after not coming here for a year or two and it's so dead inside you'd think they are already permanently closed or have to close soon. Nope, it's just because they never make an order right. I think the town has given up on them. We ordered online today (because my husband had a free pizza on his account from past mess ups!) and still they can't read how to make our pizzas correctly. Today mine had barely anything on it and was just covered in sauce. Both my husband and my pizzas were prepared incorrectly and a mix up of our two orders. The employees are a real miss as well. No personality, no effort in their work, and no idea of how to communicate with their customers or correct their mistakes. I went to order on the Blaze Pizza app tonight, and each pizza was $18. From memory I didn't reminder it being that expensive in person- so I ended up driving to Blaze vs ordering on the app to compare (so you wouldn't have to.) Sure enough, far less expensive when you order in the restaurant. Two pizzas and two beverages (one GF, and both pizzas 2 toppings), for $25. The order taker was rude, no eye contact. The guy adding sauce and cheese to the pizzas did a half ass job barely covering the dough so I asked nicely if he could cover the pizzas with cheese. He was rude, no eye contact, and did so, begrudgingly. After paying, I went to fill my drinks up. Root beer was "out" and so was sprite. So much for a beverage. Diet coke and coke tasted horrible as well- not fizzy. I told the gal behind the oven station and she didn't seem to give a care and was annoyed that I was saying something to her. Oh well. I ordered two pizzas, and when they were ready a different girl had already boxed the pizzas without asking what drizzles/sauces I wanted at the end. I took the pizzas home and opened up one of the boxes and the pizza did not look good at all. The cheese stopped about 3 inches from the crust, so all of that outer space was only sauce. I wish I had taken a photo, it was a complete joke. I don't wish I had more cheese, I just feel like it would've been SO easy for the girl to spread it out more. I couldn't eat about a third of my pizza, since it was like only bread and sauce. Also, the crust was paper thin. I've been to blaze a number of times so I know they typically have pretty thin crust, but this was different. I assumed they sell a thin crust option and had accidentally given me that but I looked it up and they don't even sell that so I don't know what the explanation would be for that. I've had negative experiences with the staff every time I've been to this location, but this is the first time that it has been reflected in the quality of the food. I never write reviews, but this experience definitely called for one. This location has been one of the worst customer service experiences my family and I have had in a while. We visited this location a year ago and had a great experience, so we decided to return but this time, the service was the complete opposite. First, we were never greeted upon entering. When ordering our family meal, the employees seemed confused about how to properly write the order down on the paper mats. When we asked for mozzarella cheese on our pizzas, the container was empty. A male employee said he would go to the back to get more. After waiting five minutes with no update or sign of him returning, multiple employees went to the back to check on the situation. By that time, one of our pizzas was already finished cooking in the oven. When he finally returned with the cheese, all the employees disappeared again. Another male employee fidgeted with some pizza dough before finally returning to add cheese to our remaining two pizzas. While making the pizzas, the employee had to look up at the menu to remember the rest of the recipe, mind you, this was one of their signature pizzas with only four toppings, so you'd expect the staff to know what goes on it. After the pizzas were assembled, they sat on the metal rack while the employees stood around, not even placing them in the oven. Our third pizza, which had come out earlier, was already cold by then, while the other two hadn't even started cooking. Keep in mind, we were the only customers in the building at this time. Eventually, our pizzas were placed in the oven, and while we waited, we watched several employees on their phones, laughing and giggling, even as new customers began lining up. The female employee, who I've seen mentioned in other reviews for her poor attitude, lived up to that reputation. She barked our name from across the room and handed over our pizza without a single "thank you" or "you're welcome." Beyond the poor service, the place was just dirty overall, pizza crust on the floors, tables that hadn't been wiped down. Whoever is managing this location is either completely absent or a disappointment to the food service industry. It's shocking how, despite the flood of bad reviews, many dating from five months ago to the present, nothing has changed. Ordered pick up and waited for a while before we asked if our pick up was ready. They said it wasn't and we waited another 5 minutes before we checked the names on the counter. Came here for lunch today and it was very frustrating. There were two gentleman behind the counter chatting our entire visit there and I believe one was fixing something and did not work there and I believe the other may have been the manager, wearing a headset. It took a total of (15) minutes to order a build your own pizza. Just to order it. The one guy who was doing any work was going back and forth between making the pizzas and putting them in the oven and taking them out. The others just stood around chatting. The woman who ordered after us, got her pizzas first and they were very burnt. She complained and I'm not sure if they remade them because they ended up coming back in and getting two more pizzas. Our pizza was also very burnt as well. It looks like there are options you can add to your pizza at the end as well, such as arugula. I didn't know that. No one offered it and I saw it as I went to go back at the end for more water. I asked for lids for the cups, the kid working had to ask someone else. We shared a pizza and my mom asked for a plate. They don't have plates so they didn't know what to do. They ended up giving her another tray with paper for her to use. It just seems none of these kids are really sure what they are doing, and there is ZERO management to even care. I won't be back.... And that seems to be the running thought these days from the reviews I see. They really should get a manager in there that cares, and supervises these kids and makes sure things are being done properly. Ok, so I recently decided to go keto when I am vegetarian and not too many places offer choices to fit both needs. However, Blaze pizza does I have to be honest and say that I never ordered from Blaze before and think I ate there once or twice in the past, food is good, but don't typically navigate towards pizza as my go to. I ordered the cauliflower/GF crust, white sauce with red onions and I am so incredibly impressed with the taste, size/price, and I was satisfied after two slices I think I am a bit shocked, but in a good way. After seeing how dirty was inside I decided to sit outside with my two kids and honestly it was way worst in that patio! Floor is really dirty, tables are really disgusting and sticky, you can tell that patio and tables haven't being clean in MONTHS! Please management do better! I can't imagine how bad looks inside the kitchen and in the back storage. This was my first and definitely the last time in that location. This review is for the service We went in with a group of 6. Plan was to order 2 pizzas and a cheese bread. We arrived during off peak hours, around 2:30 pm. I've never seen people who don't want to work, work so hard to avoid work in my life. The bin of cheese was empty. Not one employee wanted to refill it. After waiting for 6 min, we see this empty cheese bin handed off from 3 people to the back finally someone comes up to talk to us. I ask- can someone help us with our order? His reply- we have to prepare the cheese. I asked him- did no one notice the cheese was empty? His Reponse was very dismissive and passive- I just got here, and he walked away. Although someone wrote our order on a paper, We ended up canceling our order for two pizzas simply because no one could help us or receive us. We waited way too long just for someone to come back. It was a very odd and frustrating experience. Especially with a large group that included hungry children. read more
