A1 Thickburger: A 1/3 lb. Angus beef, Canadian steak seasoning, A1 Steak Sauce, bacon, Swiss cheese, tomato, red onions on a potato roll!

This, the last Carl's Jr. for MILES if you're travelling to San Diego, is a pretty good restaurant. The parking lot experience can be a little iffy with crazy homeless vagrants screaming at cars, each other, plants, and some random port-a-potty facilities located at the far end. I recommend parking as close to the building as possible, and making your way hastily to the doors without making direct eye contact with anyone offering to bless you, telling you to have a great day, or just staring at you. If you're going through the drive-thru, I recommend opening your window when you get to the menu, and not giving money out to any people standing before the sign no matter how witty or clever their cardboard sign is. Now ... once you get inside, the store is amazingly clean. The bathrooms are well maintained, the floors look freshly mopped and dried, and all the tables are clean - not "we removed the tray, so it's clean," but rather "we wiped the table down" clean. This is a tribute to the crew and management at this store; they do a hell of a good job! I ended up here for breakfast, which I don't usually order at Carl's Jr., and this was no exception. I ordered a Steakhouse Angus Thick Burger, medium drink, and - to keep it "breakfasty" - a medium order of "Hash Rounds," which are a clever take on tater tots/hash browns. After grabbing a soda (they didn't have iced tea) I seated myself at one of the clean high-top tables, I took a picture of the dining room so all you yelpers can see how clean it is, and waited for my food. And I didn't have to wait long! The food was delivered to my table quickly (which was pretty impressive, since they didn't give me a table tent). It was exactly as ordered, and was fantastic! I'm a BIG fan of tater tots (probably a holdover from my childhood), and I love these Hash Rounds that Carls Jr. offers. This is a great location, and well worth the stop if you're on your way to San Onofre or All Points South. I'm not a cartographer, so I don't know if Cristianitos Road is the last exit at the southern end of San Clemente, but I do know that there isn't a Carls Jr until you get to Oceanside! Stop in! Great food!

Oddly you had to pay for sauce at least when ordering online. A nominal .30 charge but still, should be included for your first couple. These were okay, a little too much breading but sizeable tenders. They also have a crispy chicken sandwich, turkey and veggie burgers, and hot dogs but the menu is definitely no-frills overall. They do have some "meal deal" options that include fries and a drink for around $20. Delivery was fast and it was packaged well. I would order again!

I got the #1 with alterations (Double Double minus onions but with extra spread), fries, and soda. The fries at In-N-Out are usually hit or miss depending on the location, time, and whoever is working but today they were winners. I docked a star because of the condition of the dining area which was disgusting. Although busy, there were several open tables, all of which looked as though swine had been let loose...ketchup smears, pieces of lettuce, spilled drinks, wadded up dirty napkins...you get the idea. A reflection of the deterioration of common decency. We had to go ask for someone to clean a table. He wiped down a tabletop with a wet cloth then left. We got a bunch of napkins to dry the table and clean off the seats...nothing we could really do about the spilled food and condiments under the table other than watch where we put our feet. I've never experienced this before at any In-N-Out. Maybe it was bad timing but next time I'll keep driving north to the next city that has an In-N-Out (I guess that'd be San Juan Capistrano).

I don't know service, stiff and saccharin sweet, but insincere typical teenagers in retail. Better than most but I think they have more supervision here than typical drive-thru joints. Ambiance - piss poor. Often you're turned off before you even get into the center there in because the line is out on the main drag despite the fact that they're supposed to do traffic control. This is something I've noticed up by The lax location where they actually do pretty good job for such a weird location in a very high traffic zone. This really fucked up traffic on pico. And they don't care because they're there to make money not pay people to help the community traffic situation. I got to be honest I don't like buying food here because of their conservative lean and actually supporting what's going on currently so that's that but that's choice the burgers are pretty good. Also just the burger is very affordable. Hard stop there. Go on off hours. You'll be happier. Who the heck wants to deal with that crap in your parking lot anymore I mean really?

Pro tip: Order beers & appetizers at the counter and then hang and have a couple of drinks and order dinner with your waitress. The food: Tallow Fries - Must order, the best fries you'll ever have. With the homemade ketchup good lawd! We got 2 baskets for 4 of us. We should have gotten 3 baskets. Coastal smash - 2 Pattie's, no seed oil sauce, pickles, onions, cheese on a fabulous brioche style bun. My wife LOVED this. Brisket tacos - An absolute winner. Smokey, salty, tangy, plenty of umami with cilantro and pickled onions. Fire! The only thing i would have loved was some sort of salsa. Maybe there was and I missed it. Caesar salad wrap chicken - this was a sleeper hit. My daughter is a Caesar salad conissuer and this was right up her ally. And with avocado oil Caesar dressing, no garbage! Comeon. Grilled fish tacos - very fresh and good. I think there was a sauce but these were dry. It needed more sauce and some salsa. Mind you the quality was there, so I had no problem eating them. But they were a bit bland honestly. 10/10 friendly service 10/10 easability if ordering and seating. 9/10 Food This will become one of our favorite family spots no doubt. My husband and I were driving home from LA and thankfully it wasn't Sunday, because I had a mean hankering for Chick-fil-A. I mapped the closest one to the freeway on our route and landed on this location. Upon arrival in the parking lot we were both impressed by the ample parking spaces, despite it being around lunchtime. The woman at the register (red hair, I think her tag may have said she was the catering manager) was super friendly and funny. Once we placed our order and received our food (took less than 5 minutes), we chose a spot over on the astroturf because it was an incredibly beautiful day. There are two reasons I knocked a star off my review - the barstools at the outside tables on the turf are way too high, my legs nor my husband's weren't even able to fit under the table so we were perched awkwardly on the edge of these stools with our knees at table height. The second reason is that I didn't get one of the sauces I'd requested (and honestly I was too lazy to walk back inside to get it). Aside from that, our fries were hot and crispy, our sandwiches were freshly made and everything tasted great. It was a great lunch experience on a beautiful day, and we will definitely be back to this location again.

Just very very casual and not totally comfortable. Food- 3.4/4 out of 5 - I got the Luau plate and LOVED the chicken!! Everyone else was right- that chicken thigh deserves its own plate. I also really enjoyed the coconut pudding/jello thing that came with it and the sausage link. The pulled pork was just okay, not very well seasoned but not bad. The side of "dressed greens" was just some lettuce without dressing on it, and I thought the macaroni salad was fine. The last thing that really disappointed me were the sautéed veggies :/ they were just soo oily and had no seasoning to them at all. I didn't eat any of them or the un-dressed 'salad'. My husband got the chicken katsu plate, he said the chicken katsu was fine but the fries on the side were cold and not crispy, they were kind of chalky in the mouth and didn't taste fresh. Some parts were definitely a 3/5 but my chicken thigh was so good and the portions are *huge* so I feel like they deserve a 4/5? All in all, I think I'd come back if I wanted to go out with someone but save some money and we'd split one of the plates (the portions really are huge).

Now you know why it is SO GOOD... sweet and spicy all in one! We walked in to order the wings. Ambiance was nice with colorful tables. Both restrooms are right in the same space as the dining area which I find odd. The gentleman who took our order was pleasant and accommodating. Thank you sir! I asked if they still have the 20 wings for $20. They sure did. One 20 for $20 please! I was allowed 3 different flavors, but I wanted all of them in HHR. I have tried their other flavors and nothing compares to their HHR. I am salivating as I'm typing right now LOL. Wait time was about 20+ minutes. They were super busy with walk-in and online orders so it was understandable. They did their best to get the orders out as quickly as possible. Thank you Wingstop! The wings were super hot and delicious. No compliants on the goods. However, I had 3 small gripes. Gripe #1... all 20 wings were placed in one tight box.... they could have separated 10 wings in one small box and another 10 wings in another small box. Gripe #2... there were too many drumettes and not enough wingettes (aka flats). I prefer more of the latter than the former. Gripe #3... some of the drumettes had open parts from the bone to the outside. I prefer my drumettes in fuller form. Hence, 4 stars! We will come back for more HHR wings the next time we're in San Clemente! Don't ever get rid of your HHR!! It's a flavor for life!!!
