This Wingstop location consistently delivers amazing service and great food. What really keeps me coming back are two of the guys who I believe are managers. I wish I remembered their names because they absolutely deserve recognition. They know me by name every time I come in and always make me feel welcome. It's rare to find that level of customer service these days, but they go above and beyond to make sure every visit is a great experience. If the manager sees this review, please let them know Emanuel says thank you they know exactly who they are! The food is always on point, but it's the people that make this location stand out. Keep up the great work! read more

My eldest daughter and I were on our way out of the City of San Clemente after watching the Championship Finals of the Select Medical Orange County Cup in June 2025. We found ourselves stopping by Wingstop located at Gateway Village Plaza. I love their Hot Honey Rub (HHR) flavor! So very addicting at every bite. This dry rub is a combination of honey, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, and ground mustard. Now you know why it is SO GOOD... sweet and spicy all in one! We walked in to order the wings. Ambiance was nice with colorful tables. Both restrooms are right in the same space as the dining area which I find odd. The gentleman who took our order was pleasant and accommodating. Thank you sir! I asked if they still have the 20 wings for $20. They sure did. One 20 for $20 please! I was allowed 3 different flavors, but I wanted all of them in HHR. I have tried their other flavors and nothing compares to their HHR. I am salivating as I'm typing right now LOL. Wait time was about 20+ minutes. They were super busy with walk-in and online orders so it was understandable. They did their best to get the orders out as quickly as possible. Thank you Wingstop! The wings were super hot and delicious. No compliants on the goods. However, I had 3 small gripes. Gripe #1... all 20 wings were placed in one tight box.... they could have separated 10 wings in one small box and another 10 wings in another small box. Gripe #2... there were too many drumettes and not enough wingettes (aka flats). I prefer more of the latter than the former. Gripe #3... some of the drumettes had open parts from the bone to the outside. I prefer my drumettes in fuller form. Hence, 4 stars! We will come back for more HHR wings the next time we're in San Clemente! Don't ever get rid of your HHR!! It's a flavor for life!!! read more

This Wingstop location never disappoints. The Atomic and Hot wings are always juicy, spicy, and absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of heat and flavor. They actually follow instructions, which makes a huge difference, and everything comes out exactly how it's supposed to. You can tell they care about consistency and quality. Hands down one of the best local Wingstop locations. Reliable, flavorful, and always satisfying. read more

I was jonesing for some good wings and fries and since it was recently my birthday, I had a coupon from Wingstop. Ten years ago, my office was near a Wingstop and we would go often. It was always good and the wings were cooked perfectly. The fries, with that special spice mixture, were fantastic! Ok, fast forward to 2024 and a different location. My high expectations were not met and I was bummed. A quick rundown: Fries - greasy, soggy, limp, spices must have slipped off Buffalo Wings - not cooked long enough as they were not crispy and too meaty, buffalo sauce was much sweeter than I remember Garlic Parm Wings - not cooked long enough, same as above; taste was pretty good. The highlight of the meal. I was a bit disappointed in the overall culinary experience. If you want good wings and fries, go to Daily's on El Camino Real. Make sure you order the wings "crispy" and you will have near perfect wings and the fries are the best around. Go. Eat Somewhere Else. HAVE FUN! read more

The food was absolutely horrible. It seemed like they've cooked the wings in oil that's been there for over a week. The wings tasted like they were burnt. I ate three wings and threw away the other 17. I can see why this wing stop has a poor review. I always give a chance because that everyone is right, but in this case everyone was right that it's horrible. Please don't respond to this. You just need to make better food, please. read more

Honestly, this location is better than most Wingstop so I'll give them credit for that. My one main complaint is that even when you order the fries with "extra cook time" or "extra seasoning" they rarely listen to it so you get the usual undercooked fries. read more

I thought this was a pretty solid Wingstop location, since as not all Wingstop locations are created equal. They actually have an area to sit down and eat. The wings were nice and crispy and they have one of those coke remix machines which is pretty nice. Tried the Lemon Pepper and the Korean BBQ, both were solid. They can do multiple flavors depending on the number of wings you do combo. Since my sister likes all flats, you can order "all flats" wings for a $3 charge. Additional ranch is $1 I believe. Overall, not a bad spot, I would "WingSTOP" by another time. =) read more

The chicken was super fresh and breaded to perfection. This is the first place I saw Korean flavor and that was good! It starts off a little sweet with a small kick at the end. They also had a different cut fries than what we are used to from other states. Super tasty and makes me wish other wingstops are on their game like this spot. read more

Omg absolutely not do not come here if your in a rush! I came here thinking I would be in and out for just a few minutes but ended up wasting 20 minutes. When no one was here I was the only one who ordered and it still took way too long. I was also just disappointed just the people they were being lazy. I would ask for how long the food would take and they would just as a few minutes. 10 minutes is not just a few just a complete disappointment and I will definitely not come back to this location with bad and slow workers! I had missed my Uber making me have to buy another one! Which is just the worst part. Don't come here read more

I'm done being nice or patient about this place. First, they take absolutely forever to make literally anything. Second, this time as well as others, I paid extra for more ranch and didn't even receive the original side let alone the extra. THEN, the fries were soggy. AND THEN THE CHICKEN WAS UNDERCOOKED!! I'm absolutely disgusted. I almost wanted to throw up. Everything was cold, and gross. I guess to a degree, I should've known better because my gut told me it wouldn't be a good idea. I spent almost $30 on this "meal" when I'm already short on money. I'm pissed. read more

Once again. Just see additional photos. Is this what Louisiana rub looks like, and that and the original hot was undercooked for this order. They either over cook it where you can't even chew it or undercook it. I have to cook it in my air fryer to finish. The listed Yelp owner said would have someone reach out even prior to this, and they don't. I just think it's a hit or miss. But as much as I spend and it's not consistent I give up. read more

I can not believe these people! Time and time again they have gotten my order wrong or under cooked the chicken or forgot items . Numerous times. I never complained until I did and I spoke to the female assistant manager she assured me they would fix there mistake and she would communicate to her team about the mistake and I would have a credit there to use on my next order. Tonight I call to place that order and they had the nerve to tell me there wasn't any communication regarding the mistake that was made or anything credit that I would have . Basically the assistant manager forgot to write down my issue and didn't log my credit or whatever and I'm shit outta luck. I hate the staff and how they pretty much called me a liar and I feel stole my money. I won't waste another dollar on these people. They fuck up your food and don't fix the mistakes they make and they lie to you. read more

Wingstop - The Hawaiian sauce was a family favorite. - Chicken Wings Near Me - San Clemente, California

If I had a Time Machine, of all the world's most tragic events, I would go back in time to stop myself from eating here. I was greeted by a reptilian fluoride stare and a mumble that I can only assume must've been some attempt at a greeting. After placing my order, I waited around 30 minutes for my food to be made by Slo-Mo Joe back there who was working with all the enthusiasm of a salted snail. It would take me so much mental effort to even move my body as slow as he was going, all the while his coworkers continued their dead fish stare out the window, oblivious to the world around them. After feeling so much dread and am ever growing amount of regret about my purchase, I decided to stand up and get a refund before the guy back there figured out how to work a fryer. It took the gas station delta 8 cart, Ali express Percocet at the register so much time to figure out how to work the POS system that my food was miraculously made and even more miraculously, freezing cold. I didn't get a refund and tried two bites of my food before throwing in the towel on this sad sorry excuse for an edible meal. As bad as life might get, I will be able to find hope in the silver lining that at least I'm not at Wingstop. Thank you guys for the perspective. read more

Wingstop hits after a smoke sesh!! Defintely recommend. A few comments...The extremely long way time in evenings and weekends is inconvenient. A bigger location to accommodate your high customer flow would be nice. Also, if you put hot fries in a brown paper bag and close the bag, the fries get soggy!!! read more

Admittedly, they sometimes take a long time for your order and forget items. However, this is bound to happen when you have a high traffic power house like Wingstop serving an active community. The value in some of these bundles cannot be beat and they have the best ranch in town. If that wasn't enough, they also have the best honey mustard I've ever had! The celery here is fresh and crisp and the wings are also pretty dang good. The staff here is so hardworking! Also, shoutout to that positive young man Noah (I think that's his name)! He always has a great attitude! read more

Let me just say, wing stop San Clemente,Ca is not only centrally located & Quick Freeway access. it's by far the cleanest Fast food dine in or out place, my family and I have frequented, I woke for a Fortune 500 business and they pass the test. The food is fresh, the girls at the counter always greet with a smile and it's a very upbeat eatery. Love the specials, my business for Party's is only catered by wing stop, I truly enjoy the camaraderie that all the employees have with each other. My favorite CSR is Maryssa B, I always try and order when she is working. RJ read more

I hate to do this but, enough is enough. Came in and placed a order. Young girl who took my order was having trouble with customer in front of me. Lady asked for a cup for water and she charged her for a drink. When lady said something girl told her it's to locate I already rang it up. When she started to help me I told her exactly what I wanted, but she still insisted on asking me every question that I have already told her. As I was waiting for my order I noticed that on the receipt they had not charged me extra for drums only on the bone in. When I asked her she told me I had to say something when I ordered. I told her I did. She said I did not hear you so there is nothing I can do and told me to chill. WTF ! She disappeared to back for a few minutes. Then came back a few minutes later. Said nothing to me and keep pouring sauces into small containers. When I asked if I had to pay extra again she told me to chill. At this time I was starting to get upset and the female managers appeared and told me that it they were changing the order. I explain that at no time did she say anything so I did not know what was happening. Not one apology. read more

Got my wings delivered. Easy to order and fast drop off. Hands down on this Wingstop.

I came in for an early dinner on a Wednesday. I didn't have much time, and figured Wingstop would be a good place to eat quick, and get back on the road. I was immediately greeted by the staff as I entered, and they were ready to take my order. I ordered the 10 piece bone-in combo, with original hot, and spicy Korean sauce flavors. The order comes with fries and a fountain drink, and your choice of dipping sauce, so I went with the honey mustard. Before I paid, the cashier asked if I'd like to add an extra 4 boneless wings of any flavor for (I think it was) an extra $2. I accepted and got the mango habanero for the boneless wings. The cashier took my money and thanked me with eye contact and a smile, and as they got started on my order, I took my cup, and went to the soda machine. This location has one of those cool, coca-cola machines that let you mix and match hundreds of different flavor combinations for your soda. I wasn't feeling adventurous, so I stuck with the classic fanta orange, but I love that the option to get creative is there. While I waited for my food, I grabbed a table by the window and looked around. The dining area was clean and well decorated with lots of vintage aviation themed posters, and a framed football jersey from San Clemente High across the street, which was a nice touch. They had TVs playing an NFL football game (rerun, as it was a Wednesday), and the usual generic pop music playing in the background. My food was actually brought right to my table, rather than me being called to the counter, which was a nice touch, and it was all hot and freshly prepared when I got it. The wings were perfectly sauced and glistening with flavor. The fires were cooked to a perfect golden brown, and dusted with just the right amount of seasoning. I dug right into the original hot wings, and they were everything you want in a classic hot wig. Tangy, salty wing sauce with a kick of heat, over perfectly cooked fall off the bone chicken meat. I ate all 5 original wings in no time, and picked every scrap of meat off the bones. I also like how the paper they're served in allows the sauce to pool, so you can roll the wings in the sauce before eating for extra flavor. It's a good thing they let you take as many paper towels as you want because with all that saucy flavor, I needed them! Next, I drank some soda to cool my mouth down, and tried out the fries. Again, perfectly cooked to a light, crispy golden brown and the seasoning they put on them is fantastic! Sweet and salty at the same time, but when you dip them in the honey mustard sauce, it just elevates the whole experience to the next level! That sauce is a sweet, tangy mustard sauce that compliments the fries and makes you want to just keep eating them. I had to pull myself away from the fries and dig into the Spicy Korean wings. Again, the wings were perfectly cooked and tender, but this sauce had a bit of a complex flavor. Subtly sweet and savory with a soy sauce and garlic base, and just the right amount of heat to tie it all together. I was loving it, and again, rolling the wings in the sauce at the bottom of the paper before eating is a pro move. After demolishing the wings, and finishing off most of the fries, I decided to check out the boneless bonus wings with the mango habanero sauce. Unfortunately, I wasn't as in love with these wings. They were cooked well, but boneless wings are always a little drier than the bone in, and these had a breading on them that was seasoned and salty. The strong breading flavor clashed with the sauce, and it just didn't work for me. Out of all the food I tried at Wingstop, the boneless wings were the only thing that fell short. Oh well, I still loved everything else. The food came out fast, hot, and fresh, the restaurant was clean, and the service was top notch! I highly recommend Wingstop when you need that fast food fix, and I will definitely be back! read more

Wingstop - post prom wingstop - Chicken Wings Near Me - San Clemente, California

Wings enable flight Wings help Icarus to burn Wings help fill me up. Orlando Florida was the place I experienced many firsts. First time I visited Disney World. First time I saw the Tiffany Museum. First time I tried fried chicken wings tossed in bbq sauce. I spotted a Buffalo Wild Wings and got hooked. I'm not a huge fan now as the wings are smaller and are dry quite often. As I was in the mall and I noticed Wingstop I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered the bone in wing with bbq sauce. It was cooked to order and took 15 minutes. Bbq sauce and fried wings had a sweet aroma. Wing was juicy and had a little crunch to the outside while the sauce gave it a sweet slightly tangy flavor. Very tasty. The wings are a bit bigger than BWW and juicier. I do like the honey bbq sauce at BWW a bit better. Wish they had that BWW honey bbq sauce here then this would be my go to bbq sauce covered wing joint... read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND INCOMPETENT STAFF!! Never buy from here. You will lose money in incorrect and incomplete orders and spend so long trying to correct things on the phone you will question why you ever thought this is considered "fast food". Managers, you are entirely to blame. Your employees can't hear or write down names correctly. I'm left to surmise either they need a new phone or they're not trained properly. I've placed two orders and each time they've forgotten half my order. You don't get a third shot. Congratulations. By skimping on customer service, no one wants to buy your product. WAKE UP!!! read more

I have never eaten here before. At beach with friends and phoned in a large order. Brought back to beach house. Everyone was happy. It was good but I'm not sure what the big deal is with chicken wings? Hot food was warm and cold sauces, carrots, celery were cold. The staff was very nice! They were worth stopping there. Did not see much of the store, no comment on it. Parking was good. I guess this would be the best deal if I watched football any more. read more

I enjoy the number of flavors this company offers as well as the combos that you can purchase. The wings are bigger than Buffalo Wild Wings which I used to have quite a bit. If you are going to order when you walk in, expect to wait 20 min or more as the wings do take a while to cook but are fresh made to order (4 stars is because of the wait time). We went above and beyond making sure I got blue cheese instead of ranch and gave me a small size of the lemon pepper salt that is my favorite! Great customer service and a great guy! Very disappointing when we just moved here and ordered from this location for the first time. Wings way over cooked to the point I only ate half my order, asked for them to be extra wet, aka extra sauce, well they were dry as can be. Asked for extra cheese on voodoo fries, barely any cheese to the point the cheese soaked in all the fries. We will try again down the road to give it another shot and hopefully can improve review then. I went from a one star to a five star. The owner did reach back to me about making things right which is great but before I did we ordered again from them and everything was perfect! read more
