As a rule, I want every local business in our community to thrive, which is why it pains me a bit to write a review that isn't a glowing five stars. Unfortunately, our recent lunch here left us wishing the execution matched the potential. Walking in, the welcome was a bit frosty; the staff wasn't particularly warm or eager to orient us through the menu. Once the food arrived, the kitchen choices left us scratching our heads. I ordered the mahi fish taco, which was inexplicably blanketed in shredded cheddar cheese--a culinary pairing that raises some serious eyebrows. We also tried two crunchy beef tacos, which lacked flavor and, at $6.50 a pop, felt significantly overpriced for what was delivered. The ambiance added to the overall confusion. Instead of leaning into a classic Mexican vibe, the soundtrack for our meal was reggae music. I love reggae, but it felt out of sync with the experience. We love having options right down the street, and there is a foundation here for a great neighborhood hangout. But right now, from the hospitality to the menu pairing and pricing, the execution just isn't quite there. We genuinely hope they can tighten up the details, because we'd love nothing more than to see them crush it.

The dining area is on the smaller side but we sat in the patio which is pretty big. Chips and salsa are delicious and the margaritas were amazing. Can't wait to go and celebrate their 90th year anniversary! If you've never gone here it's a must. Plenty of parking.

I always head towards the transit station and look for the coffee shop next door. There is a little bit of parking in the lot nearby, though it is shared by other businesses. Overall, still a great place for a quick bite to eat. I recommend it.

Never had one that just blew up in my mouth! The best roll I have ever eaten! The counter people were really pleasant, the service top-notch, and the food court is just perfect for those "munchies". I got the cold version of the lobster roll, it wasn't to die for especially for the price. The roll isn't cut all the way down so the meat on sits at the top, which means there's not a lot of lobster meat. They used a lot of claws, so I didn't taste any tail :( The clam chowder is pretty good The other thing I disliked was the food was ready but they didn't call out any names and it was just waiting there unattended. Jack o lantern fair was just a few blocks away but we were craving seafood and we decided on Seafood 1555. Oh my gosh. I mean I need to come back and order again because it's worth it all! Just walk behind the parking lot when you enter the church, it's behind the car repairs. And they make it looks like a farmers market with about 3-4 businesses serving food and desserts :) Service was amazing they asked if we needed any thing and we were the only customers remaining so they were patient and didn't rush us at all. So many places treat it as an afterthought, but here it was very, very good--fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to the meal. Great food, generous portions, and standout service. I did feel like this Mexican restaurant was a little pricier than others I've been into, but again you do get good size portions. I asked if we could still order and eat in and they said 'Sure!' so we took a seat. I rarely eat after 7pm, but Hubs was hungry. He ordered a calzone and I chose a simple meatball sandwich. We then took a moment to admire the kitschy decor all around. If you are familiar with Chuy's restaurants, the murals depicting SoCal surf life also cover the walls and ceiling here. The artwork boarders on graffiti inspired paint can strokes, but there were no dangling scuba divers here, keeping it cleaner and a bit more cozy, for such a large dining area. Food came out pretty quickly and my meatball sub was far from the "simple" sandwich I pictured. Firstly, it's only described as "Meatball in sauce with provolone cheese", simple. I think they should hype this up a bit more. It was 3 golfball size meatballs in sauce, nestled into a carved out, fresh baked French roll, covered with 3 slices of provolone then baked until bubbling and cheese slightly brown. The "top", cut away crust of the French roll was also slightly baked and set along side the meatball "base." THE BEST MEATBALL SANDWICH I'VE EVER HAD! Not only were the meatballs tasting from scratch with a nice weight and flavor, but the sauce was light and not soaking the bread to the point of destruction and the cheese was perfectly baked to hot, gooey, goodness. Now, suddenly very hungry, I decided a fork was the best way to attack this beast. Hubs calzone could be best described as garlic butter goodness slathered over the folded pizza crust, which gently enveloped ham and cheese. He was very happy as well. By 8:15 our food was gone. Devoured. We noticed someone else came in about this time and they told him carry-out only. So, be aware, if they close at 9, they are CLOSED AT 9! Stuft is located in a very large parking lot with plenty of free parking. The interior is quite large and I think this would be a great place to host parties, or team pizza after sports. Cheers! "CC"
