I love Jersey Mike's and I love that they cater to GF, but this is by far the worst Jersey Mike's I have ever been to! We had walked in right when they opened and was instantly turned off by the lack of acknowledgment or greeting from the one person working there. And then it just got worse. Even though we got there about 30 minutes earlier than pickup time and they were quite busy, the staff made our order to get us going so we didn't have to wait long. This Jersey Mikes is in a prime location but unfortunately customer service / order accuracy and quality is lacking. Sandwich was made with the wrong bread type and bacon on the sandwich was extremely fatty & left hard fat chunks throughout the sandwich which was gross. I ordered the BLT made Mikes way with the works - too much olive oil / vinegar was used in my opinion. Left the sandwich soggy after only 5 minutes. Not sure why this sandwich got so popular on social media / why it was recommended - it was not good. I have no complaints about Jersey Mike's. I like ordering ahead online and picking up in store. I often come on my lunch break. This location has a decent indoor space with places to sit, as well as a nice small outdoor patio. The parking can be a bit tight sometimes. All the staff are friendly. I've had many JM sandwiches over the years and this place recently have very good service and are wearing masks and following COVID safety measures. We ordered the Kahuna cheese steak sandwich this last time which is sautéed roast beef with lots of cheese sautéed onions and mushrooms and we had the jalapeños on the side. Opened just shy of a year and half , this JM location off PCH in Dana point is a prime example of "location, location , location"! I always drove past and today said, I'm going in! You have to slow down because the entry is kind of tricky and one may miss it. Pros, parking is abundant so don't be fooled by the minimal spaces directly in front of the store. Insider tip: there is more parking top level around the shop, at the point parking. Thank you John for giving me that insider scoop! When I stepped into this location, I was greeted by Matt (Mathew) who is one of the managers and after a brief chit chat was greeted by John a NJ transplant who made my sandwich. Loved it! He was super nice, chit chatting and comparing notes about East coast and West Coast . I joked that if it wasn't for OSHA, he could literally come to work in flip flops do his thing and go surfing after work. This location is super close to the water that it is ideal spot to grab your lunch , and head out to the pier, or surf . I will be coming back to this location again based on customer service, quality of sandwich made (Fan Favorite): CALIFORNIA CLUB, mikes way, bacon, extra lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions, the works, and easy on the oil and vinegar not to get the sandwich soggy.) First time at Jersey Mike's plus also been craving for a Philly cheesesteak. I don't remember the I had one--maybe 5 years ago in North OC at Charley's. JM definitely delivered, I definitely would not add avocado to it because it was an additional $2.75 8~} that I could've saved for a bag of chips. And I should've gotten a mini sized sub because they definitely filled it up with meat and cheese. I love when I come in during lunch rush and watch the interactions with the guests, the number seven is fantastic and my other favorite is the 56 but keep an eye out for the secret menu and order a 99. I placed an order online last week to have a quick pick up on my way to work. I later realized it was completely wrong, but at least the right meat type so I ate it, and thankfully don't have any allergies. The employees were very nice and it was ready before the time quoted so that was great. But if I ever go back again, I'll have to go there in person to ensure that my order is made correctly. I only made a couple of modifications, so it's not like I was being difficult. And I tipped.
