Stopped in Tuesday April 28th at 12 am because I urgently needed the restroom and planned to order food. I asked multiple times for the bathroom key, and despite clearly explaining I really needed it, I was repeatedly ignored while one employee prioritized other orders. I understand being busy, but basic human decency and customer service shouldn't disappear because a kitchen is slammed. Their customer service might not be top notch, but many of them are speaking a second language, working alone or with minimal help and doing multiple tasks at one. They are heroes and you should treat them like heroes- they are the guardians of the coast; they serve the people Del Taco's breakfast Burritos are a treasure for their simplicity. Did you know you can order them with green sauce? You should try this, and contemplate the results thoroughly. IMPORTANT NOTE: many people who are not from California do not know how to eat Del Taco properly and because of this do not enjoy it. The secret is that you must take Inferno (HOT) sauce and Del Scorcho (Medium) sauce, and apply this 1 to 1 ratio on your food as you eat. People are overly-critical of this Del Taco. I mean - seriously folks- it's Del Taco ! They deliver on their brand, which is mediocre fast Mexican food. They typically get the order correct here , the food is hot, and they deliver the food as described. It's a must-have on the drive home from the bar, but don't expect anything out of the ordinary. I stopped here to grab a diet coke and use the restroom. It's locked so the cashier has to "buzz you in." The volume on the buzzer is really low and I couldn't hear it. The cashier got mad at me, stating she already buzzed the door twice and I need to "run" if I want to get there fast enough to use the bathroom. Love Del Taco but some are better than others not only for the food but the employees. Dana Point is clean with plenty of parking. The hamburgers are better tham most I have tasted. Let's face it I am a big Del Taco foodie. The employees here are polite and well informed about their products and pricing.
