Love this spot so much! Cesar was our waiter and let me tell you he was absolutely the best we have had there. He was so attentive and kind and was always making sure we were okay. He really took care of us!! We will definitely ask for him when we dine there again. Thank you Cesar for going above and beyond! Cesar made us feel like home and so comfortable not rushed. And the fluffy carajillo was the best I have ever had! And there white rice!!

ADM! OMG! The service = 10/10. The drinks = 10/10. The food = 10/10. The decor and ambiance = 10/10. All are all on point! They staff all were warm and welcoming. We were fortunate to be taken care by Cristell M. She is 100/100! Portions were generous. Flavors, chef's kiss! Can't wait to come back soon! I am a Mexican cuisine snob and I cannot say enough about our experience here.

We showed up on Valentine's Day. They were slammed and we didn't see any open tables. The host of the staff did an amazing job taking us last minute and seating us within five minutes. I was pleasantly surprised because we just dropped in and out of nowhere. The food took a little while to come out, but we were complaining because we showed up on Valentines night without reservations. They were very accommodating and apologetic, really great service. They even sent me home with a.Tres Leches cake. We always have a good experience when we visit.

Coming in feels like I stepped into a wonderful tapas spot. I was visiting friends when I came to hear about this spot. The establishment is gorgeous and elegant. The attire we came in was smart casual. And I think this spot would be a great date spot. It's good for groups too. We had 6 in our group. They do have happy hour everyday and if I recall, it's from 3-6? Sorry bad memory. But really the food we ordered and shared was super satisfying! I had ordered the calamari and their new item quesabirria tacos. It comes with 3 tacos. I share the calamari. It hit the spot I got super full. The chips and salsa and beans hit the spot too. I didn't catch our servers name but she was super attentive to our water cups and orders. Everyone get was kind and welcoming.

I'm sad I've waited so long to try this place it's been highly recommended forever and I've been too lazy I guess. But it was so good I'll definitely be back. The place was packed but the wait was minimal. Ambiance is nice with new decor and plenty of seating. Service was outstanding as we had multiple baskets of chips delivered and our drinks were always full. Our meals were absolutely delicious! The seafood enchiladas had plenty of seafood with thick and tasty tortillas making it the perfect combo. Add the rice and excellent garnish and it was one of my favorite meals. I tried my wife's mole as well and that was so tasty with some good kick. Overall this is one of my new favorite places and now ranks atop my list. Do not sleep on this place, go now.

Just like their other location in San Clemente, this Sol Agave was amazing! I had made a reservation for dinner but they really weren't that busy at all and parking is super easy to find. The service was pleasant and efficient, and the ambiance was romantic with dim and modern lighting. Our food was very delicious. I highly recommend the lobster enchiladas and chile Colorado. Their sauce on both was savory and flavorful.

Went for Happy Hour. The ribs on the hh menu were tasty and the meat fell off the bones. Delicious! Love their chicken tortilla soup. Never disappoints.

SJC: very loud in this beautiful restaurant on a packed Friday night so we opted to eat on the patio. Impeccable service five stars for hostess and servers. Jalapeño Soup which was bright & delicious with just enough heat but wayyyy too much salt. Three of us agreed and let them know that maybe someone was heavy-handed with the salt. Or is it just a salty soup? Grilled salad with New York Steak: steak was cooked perfectly with great seasoning, just wish the salad had more essence of the grill. Needed more love from the kitchen. Salmon salad with pepita cilantro dressing was good with tender and lightly seasoned salmon. Very good. Chili Renellos two ways - one cheese and one Carnitas. Very good, excellent flavor and nicely presented. Love the black beans and the Vera Cruz rice. House margaritas were delicious and of course the chips and salsa with those frijoles they bring are amazing. Best chips, salsa, frijole dip combo at any Mexican restaurant. Again, stellar service on a crowded night. 5/16/25

First off, the service was impeccable. The bathrooms were beautiful and immaculate. We were quickly seated and the waiter accommodated my daughter's request for strawberry lemonade even though it wasn't on the menu. I loved the fact that the chips came with a little bean dip with cotija. Everything we ate was really tasty. The fries and black beans were excellent. The only thing I didn't care for was the Al Pastor as it was very greasy. Too greasy to eat. However, everything else was so yummy and the staff was so kind that I had to give 5 stars.

    TASTE OF SOL AGAVE

We went to Sol Agave last night for date night and had the BEST experience. We started with the Sugar Cane Filet appetizer and wow -- it was so good it could've been a main dish with the rice and veggies. The sauces were amazing. We also had Cadillac margaritas with a half Tajín / half salt rim and they were made perfectly. For dinner we split the "Para Dos - Taste of Mexico" and it was insane (in the best way). So much food and everything was incredible -- we had tons of leftovers. My husband loved the carnitas, the prawns had this buttery sauce with just the right kick, and the chicken fajitas were delicious. I'm allergic to bell peppers and our server immediately offered to substitute sautéed zucchini, squash, onions, and carrots -- which were so good. That meant a lot. My favorite was the steak with mushrooms and cheese, and the cheese fondue in the center was smoky with a little kick -- so flavorful. JJ, our server, truly made the night. He had great recommendations and was super attentive. The manager, Raphael, also stopped by to check on us, which was such a nice touch. Food, drinks, service -- 10/10. We can't wait to go back!

Highly recommend for those with Celiac Disease! Our waitress truly understood the need for gluten free and had fabulous recommendations! Beautiful ambiance! Our waitress was phenomenal! The food fantastic! Even though items on the menu were marked as gluten free, our waitress took the time to explain the difference between the items AND what I would need to modify to ensure no cross contamination. Delicious doesn't do justice to what we ate. The flavors were perfectly balanced - not over-seasoned, nothing overpowering, just full of flavor! The texture aspect was incredible! We ordered: Sugar Cane filet; Pulpo a las Brasas and Carnitas. I could write a book on the experience eating each one - but it would take to long so - go and find out for yourself. It's good! It is pricey but it's fairly priced considering presentation, portion, ambiance and customer service.

One of my favorite date night/ anniversary restaurant. This was our second vday celebrating with sol agave and I gotta say the food is just as good as the first time !! We really went for the calamari but it was sold out by the time we sat down, so we had the pulpo alas brazas and def a must try super flavorful not dry what's so ever or chewy it did have a bit of kick but with the salad it was really not noticeable. The drinks were super flavorful you can def taste the tequila lol I did wish we had a more attentive server he kinda kept forgetting us, but it was a busy day so I'm sure everyone was running around. Hopefully we will pay a visit soon on a less active day.

The second part of the lounge is the two cigar lounges: the day lounge and the VIP lounge, which has lockers. Their website teases that food is coming soon. It is a fairly small place and I would definitely recommend making a reservation on Yelp. If there are no reservations available when you want to visit, they also have a Yelp live waitlist. The building has its own parking lot with about ten spaces and is shared with the sushi speakeasy upstairs. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Sunday night, and luckily there were still quite a few spaces available. A half hour later, the place was packed. The outside of the building is not marked. Enter through the red double doors in front, walk to the right, and the entrance will be easy to spot. Seating options include eight seats at the bar, four high-top tables in the main area that seat four people each, and a slightly raised grotto area with one four-seat table and two two-seat tables. We often like to sit at the bar, but I reserved a table in the grotto so we could get the full experience and I'm glad I did. The interior has great décor with a mix of tiki and pirate ship elements. The walls are wooden plank, with cargo netting, ropes, and tiki lights above. The walls have portraits of Goonies movie characters. Take two steps up to the grotto area, and you are inside of a cave with skulls, shells, and treasures embedded in the cave walls. There is also a small waterfall in the corner. Scan the QR code on the table for the cocktail menu. It is colorful and many of the drinks have names tied to The Goonies. Each drink also has zero, one, or two skulls next to it to indicate the booziness factor. They have quite a few original cocktails as well as classic tiki drinks, a few mocktails, spirits, beer, and wine. I started out with the Ash Landing (Hamilton Pot Still Blonde Rum, Hamilton 86 Demerara Rum, Hamilton Pimento Dram, Angostura Bitters, Pineapple, Lime, Ginger, One Skull booziness, $14). This was definitely a little on the boozy side, with good ginger flavor and the pineapple and lime in the background. She started out with the One-Eyed Willy (Pou Vodka, Lychee, Guava, Coconut, Sweet & Sour, $15, keep the mug for $65). It is rare that a vodka drink is my favorite of the night, but this was both of our favorites. It was very balanced and juicy, and not boozy at all. The guava, coconut, and citrus from the sweet and sour were all there. We bought the mug, and they bring you a new one in original packaging. The purchased mug is colored a little differently (blue instead of black) than the mug the drink is served it, but it still looks great. While walking around taking pictures, I ran into our server and mentioned that it was my girlfriend's birthday. He kindly brought us some shots on the house. He said it was a recipe they had for shots during Halloween, and it tasted like a spin on a kamikaze. It was very good and much appreciated. I have a hard time resisting a cool mug, so for my second drink I ordered the Slick Shoes (Planteray Pineapple Rum, Worthy Park Rum, Bounty Dark Rum, Strawberry, Papaya, Lime Juice, $17). It is served in a cool sneaker mug with a flaming lime half on top. It was nicely balanced and just a tiny bit boozy. It had a nice light fruit flavor, not overly sweet at all. I think it is sometimes served in a regular glass, so if you order it, be sure to ask for the sneaker mug. Her second cocktail was the Never Say Die (Producer Mezcal, Kiwi, Lemon, Mango, Grilled Pineapple, $14). The smokiness of the mezcal was on the hairy edge of being too smoky for me, but she loved it. She could taste the kiwi and mango. We shared one last drink, the Garden of Eden (Papa's Pilar Blonde Rum, Lavender, Lemon, Elderflower, Cucumber Bitters, One Skull booziness, $17). It had an interesting (good) floral flavor profile, and didn't strike me as boozy at all. I could definitely taste the cucumber notes from the bitters. There was good 80s music playing in the background. It's a Goonies themed bar, I get it, but we would have enjoyed a few tiki songs in the mix too. There is one unisex restroom out in the lobby area. It is nice that they also themed it with wooden plank on the walls and ceiling, and some nautical décor. Daniel was our server and was very friendly and provided great service. Thanks again Daniel for the birthday shots! Bartender Felipe also delivered one round of our drinks and was also very friendly. All of the drinks were good and there are definitely more on the menu that we would like to return and try. We had a real fun time, thanks Lost Inferno!
