Whenever I come here I'm unfortunate enough to get this employee who looks like she hates her job, her life, and doesn't want to be there. I'm vegan and build my own pizza because they have vegan alternatives and I'm told that they're supposed to ask whether you would like for them to change their gloves when handling the vegan cheese (because they touch all sorts of other meats) but they never do and I'm not the person to complain or ask her to when it's her duty. The rest of the employees are fine, but like I'm saying I'm always unfortunate enough to have that employee deal with my vegan cheese topping. The pizza is amazing and the other employees, most of them young are good with customers and having friendly attitudes. This is one of my favorite Blaze locations. Staff is always super friendly, tight on the customer service and just a joy to come get pizza. You feel welcomed when you walk through the door. The pizza is cooked to perfection. I usually order the make it your own with vegan cheese. They alwayz change their gloves. Blaze is a Subway for pizza lovers. Employees are friendly and helpful. Nice to see they're patient with first-timers. I'm a simple girl; I like pepperoni pizza. The wait can be awhile, but a little birdie told me that good things come to those who wait. Well, I don't love waiting to eat flat bread and barely there crust. Actually calling it crust is a stretch. It seemed rather over-cooked, borderline burned. Maybe I love bread and bready crust too much to enjoy Blaze. Really excited to have a new Blaze so close to the house. I'm always a fan of their build-your-own pizzas and I always opt for the spicy marinara. I like my pie saucy so I always ask for extra and have them go light on the cheese. Because it's a one price for as much as you want, I try to add a little bit of everything, but avoid piling it on too high because it tends to be soggy. Not their fault as they'll warn you if your toppings are getting on the greedy side. Service has been great and I love their flavors of agua fresca available to wash down your food. Need to try their thick crust option in the future too! Since it's the new and shiny thing in the area, it's been pretty crowded and parking has been kind of nuts. Save yourself some time and park over by Target towards Taco Bell and walk a little bit - you'll probably need it after scarfing down a loaded pie anyways. read more

I am very disappointed in my trip with my kids this Friday night. One of my daughters is vegan only. We order a lot of food here with large catering orders for work and home. Long wait in line. I order my usual 2 pizzas. Half way in they tell me there are no vegan toppings and that many toppings are now gone. You guys only had like 20% of the available toppings which is mind blowing. I was so hesitant to come here, with so many pizza places around with the same concept. However, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. When we were next to order, the guy at the counter explained the process since it was our 1st time there. I played it safe and ordered a pepperoni with jalapenos. It's always fun watching places like these build your pizza. It took maybe no more than 10 minutes for our pizza to come out. This Blaze just opened. The store has been completely refitted and it is hard to believe that this location was a Payless Shoe Store. Blaze offers 8 signature pizzas or build your own plus salads and multiple deserts. Everything is served quickly and with a smile. Parking is easy. Outdoor seating is available. Having just opened a few glitches in service existed but that will be fixed right away. One change I would make would be to turn down the music. But other than that come on down! read more

I wish I could put a zero! This happened yesterday; the 12 Y/o I babysit went to get her pizza and it slid of the counter and fell straight on the ground. The guy straight up looked at her and said oh well you have to buy another pizza! Until I went over there to picked a fight with him, because what kind of customer service is that! When I worked in the food service we had many people drop or get their order wrong and we would gladly remake it! Finally once we convinced him to remake it, he walked it to our table, slammed it in the table and said "don't drop it this time" and walked away in the middle of us thanking him. There was an audible gasp, everyone around saw. Before this, just walking in the vibes are off. You aren't greeted with friendly smiles or welcomed at all. My wife got the signature art lovers and it looks like someone mistakenly spilled a can of marinara on it. First time actually visiting this newly opened Blaze location and I must say I was less than impressed. I couldn't count my real first time driving by when they had the $4 pizza special and the line was around the block. I looked and just left. This particular time, I was enticed by a $5 off coupon through their mailing list. So I put in my order for two pies at 6 PM, for it to be ready at 7:15 PM which was exactly when I will be done at the gym across the street. I got here at 7:13 on the dot and was a little confused on where I should pick up. Online directions made it seem like there's a designated cashier or check out I needed to go to for online orders. It ended up being the same single cashier that appears to be overwhelmed by the dinner rush. I wait for her to finishing ringing someone out, then asked about my pizza awkwardly while trying not to interrupt the next customer waiting to be ringed up. My order was supposed to be ready at 7:15 PM, It is 7:17 PM, she said it will be coming right up and I gave her benefit of the doubt. 7:25 an entire line of customers had their pizza paid for and made in front of me. I go up to the cashier again and ask her where my pizza is for the second time. She walked around looking for a sheet of paper and seemed a little frustrated with the "oven guy". She came back and offered a drink for my troubles. Not needed, but appreciated. 7:35, still no pizza. Pretty much last of that dinner rush is already taken care of. I'm here questioning myself as to why even go through this "online ordering" system when its faster to just order on the spot and wait through the line? I ask again, and sure even they found my actual order which fell beneath another pile of paper. I saw my pizza go in the oven. They hustled, forgot to put drizzle or my "special request" for ranch on the side. 7:40 much to my dismay, I finally get my pizza. Yet again I question as to what is the point of online ordering? Clearly this place requires better management. It appears that no one was in charge. Also look to Chipotle on how they process their online orders. I never had a problem with getting it almost half an hour late. Yet again, no fault of the employees. Just no management at this location during the time I was there. How can you ruin a great concept of Blaze Pizza? well, hire an immature and unprofessional staff out of high school with no real management to hold them accountable. I have visited this location a dozen times and my experience has been subpar two thirds of the time and only after this last experience, I've decided to finally write a review. Those negative experiences have not been limited to getting my order wrong, or being given other peoples pizzas to take home. They also include eating on filthy tables, bathroom, and windows while place is empty. No one is there to tell them to clean. Staff also do not know to greet customers or to have a proper response when greeted by a customer. Many other things like putting toppings on my pizza that i didnt want and then try to pick them off and put them back in the bin with no glove or just not listening to instructions of what to put and how much of it. These things can be normal from time to time but all the time? After this last experience I have finally learned that the staff just doesnt care and the owner or manager doesnt seem to be there when it matters most. Those young adults working there get away with whatever they please and have no sense of customer service, because the location is a busy one and they dont have to provide much service to keep the doors open. I sped to get to the location 15 min before closing. I saw the door open and 3 customers inside in the beginning of the line. I was stopped by a staff member sweeping outside and was told the establishment is closed, unless I am postmates. I asked "dont you close in 15 min?" he wouldnt answer me. I pressed the issue and he said he is just doing his job. In fact he didnt want to do his job, he wanted to go home early. I went inside and saw those 3 customers having 3 pizzas made right then. All the toppings were still out and a staff member was placing meat toppings on their pizzas. The gal looked at me and told me they are closed. I look at my watch and asked if they are closing early? she acknowledged, even when all the toppings were out and they could have just served me and closed at their normal closing time. I stood by and watched 3 people get pizzas infront of me while there was 10 min left on their normal closing time. I have worked in a restaurant before and I was baffled how this is acceptable when all the stuff is still out and there are customers being served right then. I guess it starts from the top down and if the management doesnt show the staff that serving a customer is more important than going home 10 min early then they will treat their customers that way. Bottom line, this review is to make sure the management or owner understands the issues at their location. When leaving I politely greeted the first guy as I was walking out with and he wouldnt even look up, let alone say "you too" or hope to see you next time or whatever else retail establishment say back to customers when they care. Even though my house is a block away, i will happily drive another 10 min to get to another Blaze Pizza location. read more

Update: Blaze reached out to me with concessions, which shows their commitment to customer service. I decided to give them a second chance. I had no trouble ordering the same meal (2 topping pizza and Caesar salad) minus the drink, which is not worth the trouble (too small). After placing the order, I ran a quick errand next door. I came back in about ten minutes and my order was ready and waiting. The only bummer was that they placed my salad on top of the hot pizza box. Nobody likes warm salad. The pizza was good, but nothing all that special. So from 2s to 4s (one off for the warm salad). We may try it again another time. Maybe order something different. read more

I'd gone to other pizza places that offer almost the same deal and i wasn't really impressed which is why I am guessing it took me so long to try Blaze pizza. So glad I finally did. They are by far one of the best fast fire'd pizza places I have been to. I've been several times and as a creature of habit I always get the BBQ Chicken pizza with a BBQ sauce base. The flavors are great and i love the crispy crust. If you're looking for a thinker crust they do offer a high rise crust for extra cost and my husband seems to like that. I like that you can watch them make your pizza and you can tell them how much or how little toppings you'd like on your pie. I also like that they offer aguas frescas. I was a little bummed that they switch up the flavors as I had grown to love the pomegranate flavored drink. Crossing my fingers that they bring it back. read more

I went here for dinner with the family. I usually go to the Downtown Orange location, but decided to give this new location a try. The line was long, but the seating was not. Getting through the line was a feat in itself because it too so long. It was most likely slow for 2 reasons: 1) people ordered multiple pizzas with specific toppings, and 2) the place recently opened, so staff was new and just learning the ropes. I really like the Downtown Orange location better because service is fast, location is very lively and full of energy. On the positive side, the pizza was great. read more

This place tops my favorite pizza places! As a vegetarian (at times, vegan) I appreciate that they have so much variety, including vegan cheese. They are very accommodating, change gloves when they know we are vegetarians (which I also appreciate since other establishments don't even really offer to do that) - so yes, eat here.
