The kid cutting our pizza gave us attitude and threw our pizza boxes onto the counter when our pizzas were ready. If he didn't want to be at work, then he shouldn't have shown up. Whelmed This was my first time trying Blaze Pizza and it was a good experience. It's not at the top of build your own personal pizza lists, but not at the bottom either. I would go back, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Nice for the area. Good, but not great. All the cliché lines fit, so let's use them all. Honestly, my only issue is that on Friday night they were clearly having an issue meeting demand and the two pizzas I ordered were not cooked long enough. The dough on both could have used another few minutes. The staff was very friendly - they all were pleasant to interact with and all seemed to be working hard. Hopefully they can tweak out the set up so things don't get so behind in the future. Two undercooked pizzas that both sat almost 10 minutes before they were boxed and handed over - a result of the staff being quite busy. Time for a new game plan from the GM, perhaps? I was really looking forward to enjoy the pizza, but I was truly disappointed after the first slice ! We love Blaze and were impressed by this location when we first move close by. Since then, the customer service has gone down a lot. We have a gluten allergy in our family and used to have no problem getting the needed attention to avoid cross contamination. Three of our last four pizzas have either been contaminated (made someone sick) or had to be remade because we watched them ignore contamination. If I had not been watching, they would have served it to us and made someone sick. The sad thing is, they used to be really good at this. The staff seem indifferent and took no responsibility when I named the issue. Yes, they remade the pizza, but the routine of denial, eye rolling and lack of apology is frustrating. As I wrote this, a manager finished remaking our pizza. After I asked if he was a manager, he apologized. If I had not asked, nothing would have been said. I hope this location bounces back and does better. Not sure how many more chances we will give it. Will definitely be watching as our food is made. read more

This BLAZE pizza, more like FROZEN cardboard, has to be the slowest pizza place in the entire county. I could get a deep dish from pizzeria uno in Chicago during rush hour faster than this place! They have 3 employees during rush hour dinner time prioritizing online orders before customers who make the effort to go there. Literally watched them make four 25 topping pizzas right in front of me as I'm standing in front of the line: then proceeded to tell me they were moving as fast as they could to finish making 10 more pizzas before they would serve me. Oh, but that was only after I asked them why I wasn't being served. Shame on the manager for such a lack of compassion for customers from the staff. They looked miserable, no smiles, barely any communication, and extremely poor service. Long wait during "peak" hours. Because they have online orders and can barely keep up with online and walk in orders at the same time. I saw them making the half salad half pizza online orders and the salad bar they had, needed to be refilled and all he did was scrape all the left over pieces and put it in a to-go half order. There are so many pizza places to choose from. What size to choose or what toppings to get on your pizza? For other places toppings can get very expensive or they don't have. The topping you want. Some places are down right greasy. Some where it drips from your pizza and onto your lap. Here I find it not only a great price, but not greasy as well. For a flat (and decent price) you can build your own pizza with whatever and as much toppings that you want. There are so many toppings that you can choose from. There is other choice of variety, pepperoni,vegetarian etc I do enjoy that the pizza is not only small (personal size) but they have never been greasy. With the reason being the paper was sitting somewhere by the register. UGH. Usually a fan of the Blaze franchise. There's another location I visit more often. This one is usually pretty dead but the service is also pretty slow. It took about 10 minutes to get through the ordering process because there were only 2 employees. But we were the only customers. I ordered dough knots instead of a pizza while my guy ordered a simple pie. So, his pizza came out pretty quick, but he said it was the thinnest crust he's ever had at blaze. My dough knots were taking forever, I saw her checking on them multiple times and putting them back in the oven. Finally, they were done but oh man, were they raw! I thought it was melted cheese but no, it was wet raw dough. Totally not edible and I didn't get them until my guy was already done with his pizza. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes and the pizza is fantastic. Obviously, you'll want to know the difference between Blaze and Pieology since their setup is pretty similar. The main differences that I saw was: 1. The crust: I am not a fan of thin-crust pizza so Blaze wins out here. Pieology's crusts are too thin as they get burnt easily. 2. The toppings: Pieology wins here. They basically have one-price where you can pile on as much ingredients as they will allow. Blaze has several ways to order pizza from the basic 2 toppings, to the build-your-own to the pre-set pizzas. Too confusing. 3. Prices: Pretty much comparable. You are going to pay about $10.00 per pie. 4. Drinks: I love Blaze's blood Orange Lemonade 5. Location: This particular Blaze location is not great. The parking shared with several other businesses including Starbucks is terrible. The parking spaces are all for compact cars so it's easy to get dinged by someone's car door. read more

Pi Day is the worst day to go to Blaze. So course, I decided to go for my very first time on that day. The wait came out to be an hour and it was all in observance of a circle's circumference... I personally think the build your own is the only way to go when you come here. You get to pick your own sauce and your own toppings. Who would opposed unlimited toppings? *Cue the cricket noises* Yes, that's what I thought. No one. I got the spicy red sauce but it tasted like normal sauce. They didn't deliver on the heat unfortunately. They have pretty much all the standard toppings, which includes vegan cheese and gluten free crust option. If you're indecisive, there's also a menu you can look at of their selection while waiting in line. Please don't be that person holding up the line because you're having an internal conflict between salami or pepperoni. I applaud the staff for giving quick service given the overwhelming turnout they had. They got that Henry Ford assembly line to a science and kept it running efficiently. Shoutout to the guy who handed me my pizza because he had a great attitude despite it being Blaze's "Black Friday". I was thoroughly shocked by how good the pizza was. We got take out from Blaze on Tustin near Target this evening. I ordered a Veg Out pizza, with added sausage. See the picture that says exactly that. As you can see from the photo, there is no sausage. We paid for it but didn't get it. The pizza was good, but it's disappointing to order something and pay for it, but not get it. Seems like when it is written down on Blaze's paper, they should be able to get it right. Lesson learned...watch them as they make the pizza regardless of what they write on the paper. read more

Great custom pizza place, I always get mine with plenty of veggies and the spicy sauce! I liked that this location had extra condiments( cheese, red pepper,oregano. sriracha) all on the side to grab as you made your way towards the tables. My pizza was also cooked and made well. Not soggy or burnt, which can sometimes be difficult because of all the veggie toppings i put. Next time I would avoid the pineapple because it doesn't add anything to it. read more

I love the chain. The concept of DIY pizzas isn't new, but one we all love nonetheless. I love that their menu is constantly evolving and online ordering makes it incredibly easy and convenient (or so I thought). Placed an online order for a scheduled pickup within 30. After 30 mins past pick up window, we asked to cancel the order to which we were told we needed to call the number online or on our receipt. Get this: there is no number online - it's a franchise. Asked the cashier and was told cancellations are processed at the location. Seriously? Their manager was unavailable so they promised a refund to be processed the next day.
