Whoopsie, I guess I come here a little too often, if that's even possible, so it's time to write up a review. I think what continues to draw me back is the value for what you get. Unlimited toppings for just about $9, when you go to a local pizzeria joint they are charging you no less than $1 for EACH. And every time I make up a new creation here, I'm throwing no less than five different things on it. Skip the "pre-made" board, that's for amateurs....why would you not make it to your exact preferences? While I'm not gluten-free, they do have the option for GF dough which makes one of my co-workers extremely happy, although there is a $2 upcharge. You start by picking original or thick crust dough and then go down the Subway-like assembly line of goodies. PRO TIP: Sauce time, have them line the crust with the pesto sauce but place the red sauce (also offered up in a fiery option) in the middle....you'll thank me later. Next up are the cheeses with no less than five different options. Bypass the shredded mooz and go with the ovalini. Carnivores rejoice at the plethora of animals, I find the chicken pretty awful but everything else is great, including the canadian bacon style ham. Move on down to the veggies. Be careful with adding more garlic if you already did some kind of pesto, unless you hate your fellow classmates or co-workers and want to kill them with vampire breath the rest of the day. Two types of olives being offered is pretty awesome, along with the marinated veggies at the very end. Finish it off with some sea salt and oregano. NOW THE WAIT BEGINS.... Well first you pay, so make sure you've already gotten the Blaze app. Thumbs down for it not counting by the pizza, just visits. I've never tested it out and just purchased a drink, to see if it'll give me a "flame". I was pretty upset when I took out-of-towners here, paid the entire bill of like five pizzas and only ended up with one flame in my app. Fix that, please. By the time, you're done paying and getting your drink cup (make sure you try one of their aqua frescas, you'll thank me later), you'll have about 2 minutes and 13 seconds remaining before your pizza is out of the oven. While you move to the final step of the assembly line, begin checking even more toppings. They will offer you arugula, which I add 90% of the time and then sauces like pesto (MORE???), olive oil, hot sauce and basalmic drizz. Note that these sauces will make your pizza impeccably greasy, especially if you had them put a ton of cheese on, so you've been warned. Enjoy the relatively clean dining room that has a lot of turnover, or take it back to your dorm room/office, knowing how freaking piping hot it is. Eat, rinse, repeat. Our group of eight grabbed a bite here before a Red Sox game (ALCS!). It's close to the stadium and they had seating available for our larger group. Several different kinds of pizza were ordered between us all so it was like a little pizza buffet. Combined with a pretty awesome salad (the dressing was amazing) and cheesy garlic breadsticks it was a delicious filling meal (you don't want to drink on an empty stomach!) and the food lines at the game were as expected ridiculously long. The pizza comes in gluten-free, but I would only get it if you have a sensitivity and not an allergy as I'm not confident in the lack of cross contamination that goes on with the crust and ingredients. I love the gluten-free crust because you can load the BYO pizza up with toppings and it's the cheapest, best tasting gluten-free pizza out there for the amount of food you're getting. This location is frequented by many college age students. Despite visiting 30 min before closing, there were still many customers. I was greeted and asked if I had been there before. As a first time customer, she explained the different types of pizzas you could order. The pre-designed ones ranged from $8-10 while the build your own one was $10 for unlimited toppings. I really enjoyed being able to make my own pizza (I probably put about 15 toppings on there with no extra cost for meats). Expect a 5-10 min wait for the pizza to bake. The crust is really thin (which I love), so if you put many ingredients that are full of water like pineapple, onion and tomatoes, the crust will get soggy if you do not eat the pizza immediately. I got the order to-go so I didn't eat it until 30 minutes later. If you have leftovers, I suggest warming it up in a toaster oven or large oven to freshen up the crust. My new favorite go-to pizza place for sure! I love the concept of Blaze. Build your own pizzas have always been an option at any pizza restaurant, but here, you walk through the row of ingredients like you do at a Chipotle/Qdoba and add what you want as you see it. Blaze pizzas are thin (you can make it thicker for an additional cost) and its 11". I would say it's not enough to share between two people unless both are not that hungry. But I had a whole build your own pizza myself for dinner and I was full :) It's also only about $9. I love that there are different sauce options and large variety of cheeses, veggies, meats, and toppings. The garlic pesto sauce is SO GOOD - try it if you're not feeling marinara one day! Adding oregano pre-cooking the pizza also tastes a lot of better than sprinkling it on top after. I also love the arugula and olive oil "drizzle" toppings. I LOVE Blaze. It's basically a Subway but for Pizza. It's an individual pizza but you can definitely split it with someone, but it's so delicious you're gonna want one yourself. It is also inexpensive too. With a drink is like 12/13 bucks. and you HAVE to get a drink. Their blood orange lemonade is like their signature drink. I got the three topping with mozzarella, red sauce, pepperoni, red onion, and meatballs with a sprinkle of oregano and a drizzle of barbecue sauce. I always tell them to add a little bit more sauce otherwise they'll put on a thin layer. For the cheese I just stick with the regular mozzarella but they also offer between 3-5 different cheeses if you're a cheese fanatic. There's also plenty of toppings and after it's cooked they have add-ons that can be drizzled on top. This time I also ordered the quinoa kale cranberry side salad, and all I have to say is wow. It's so simple yet so delicious! I'm not a huge salad person, (which is why I got it in the first place because I couldn't remember the last time I ate some greens) and I would return just for that! We had heard good things about this place so we decided to try it. It was pretty crowded, but the line was moving pretty quickly. I ended up having to wait really long for my gluten free crust, so anyone that wants to be gluten free there should either be really patient or just skip it altogether. I only got two toppings and the price was pretty decent. The spicy sauce was not spicy at all though. Since it was so busy there we ended up waiting a very long time for our pizza and the tables weren't that clean. Overall, I wouldn't go to this location again since there is one on ComAve that I think is much faster, even when its crowded. read more

TLDR version: Blaze makes fresh, amazing pizza, very quickly. For 8.75 you can build a personal pizza with as many different toppings as you'd like. This particular Blaze, in my opinion, is the best one in the city due to its service. Long version: Food: Best cheap pizza I've ever had. The food is cheap (8.75 for a build your own with unlimited toppings), comes out fresh and they have such a wide variety of sauces, cheeses, meats and fruits/vegetables that the possibilities are limitless. This location toasts their pizzas a bit longer than some of the others (which is a preference for me) so the thin crust comes out nice and crunchy. But you can always ask them to cook it to your preference. They also offer a gluten free crust that is also egg and soy free (can't say the same for Oath or many other locations). Drinks: just like at any Blaze, they have their lemonade and blood orange (my personal favorite), two types of agua frescas that vary with the season, and an assortment of sodas. Service: This is where this Blaze shines. They're probably the most allergy-friendly/conscious of the Blaze locations I've been to. They will change gloves, open new containers of toppings, and grab clean brushes/spoons all without asking them to (unlike some of the others locations where you need to police them as they make your food). They also always ask after adding a topping if your pizza looks good or if you'd like more! They go above and beyond, so thank you! Definitely recommend Blaze and especially this location. I first tried Blaze Pizza back in Southern California so when I found out they were opening a new location near Fenway AND I got to attend a Yelp Elite Event there, I was ecstatic. For those of you who don't know, it's simple: Blaze Pizza is the Chipotle/Subway of pizza making. You can build your own or order one of their delectable pre-made pizzas. I usually opt to build my own ... because why not?! They offer a ton of different sauce, cheese, meat, and veggie toppings. They have seasonings and herbs, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. And all at an affordable price ... and made FAST! The thin crust pizza comes out cooked to perfection with the perfect crunch and doesn't flop or fold when stacking up against all those tasty ingredients. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I've already written a review for Blaze Pizza at the Cambridge location, but I need to write one for Fenway because the food is just as delicious and the staff are so amazing. Everyone here is friendly and accommodating without feeling like they're being forced to be nice. If it's your first time here, it may seem overwhelming because you can create your own pizza with any or all toppings, or choose from a preset combo of toppings, but the staff are happy to explain how it works. I've been here so many times but never tried their agua frescas until now, but trust me, you should definitely get one. I don't like sugary carbonated drinks and am slightly allergic to alcohol so I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted the agua fresca. It's very very light, not overloaded with sugar, and super refreshing. The prickly pear is the tastiest! read more

It's almost hard to write this review since as you can see from before, I've had such great experience with Blaze before. Unfortunately, I think this location has gone downhill recently. Previously, it was pretty efficient and easy to order in store and leave within 10-15 minutes with warm and delicious pizza. Recently, though, with the influx of online orders and what seem to be staffing changes, it can take SO LONG to order here it seems not worth the time. Recently on a Sunday evening around 9pm I went with two people and it took us 30 minutes from walking in the door to leaving with our pizzas. I guess we could have ordered online, but even looking at the online order times it seemed to be people who had ordered way earlier. It's a shame because I love Blaze pizza and generally I think it's a quick healthy-ish way to enjoy pizza for a weeknight dinner, but I think my visits to this location are going to become way less frequent. read more

I decided to opt for the 2 topping and cheese pizza for only $7.99! Super cheap and a steal deal. A good amount and a bang for your buck. It took about 3-5 minutes to make and service was fast and efficient. I got the vegan cheese, pepperoni and sausage finished with a bbq drizzle. It really satisfied my cravings and was a solid place. Blaze Pizza was one of my favorite pizza places in my home city, so I was really excited to see one here in Boston. The pizza is just as great as I remembered it. There's a wide variety of toppings to choose from. I would've given four stars, I'm taking off one star due to COVID precautions. All employees wore masks, which was great. Most people ordered to-go and obeyed the spacing indicators on the floor, which told people were to stand in order to promote social distancing. However, a couple of the employees who were assembling the pizzas were wearing their masks loosely, such that their masks would dip below their noses, which defeats the entire purpose of wearing a mask in the first place. This wasn't widespread and only seemed to apply to some employees, but this is a concern that I think Blaze may want to address. Other than the mask issue, I'd highly recommend this Blaze. read more

They also have basic "signature pizzas" as well. I tried building my own. First, the staff are really friendly and patient, particularly with someone like me (fumbling my way through making my own pizza). I went with a regular crust, white cream sauce, goat cheese, feta and ricotta w/ artichoke, mushrooms, sauteed onions and spinach. I'll admit that I got the ingredient ideas from &pizza's "moonstruck" pie, still probably one of my favorite pizzas to date. The ingredients are very fresh and I liked the pizza, although maybe next time I should just try one of their signature pizzas so I don't end up comparing this pizza with the &pizza in my mind. Blaze is now my go to pizza place! I love how you can create your own pizza with unlimited toppings just for $8.45. It's a really good deal! Also, each pizza is made to order so it's good quality. Honestly the crust is so much better than Oath pizza next door and does not even compare to Dominos. The crust is pretty light and definitely not thick so it's healthier right? Less carbs... The customized pizza is a really great idea - I like to do half spicy red sauce (with pepperoni) and the other half of the pizza with pesto garlic (with chicken, spinach, arugula and balsamic drizzle!). You really get in a variety of different flavors when you split up your pizza half half. I also like to put a ton of broccoli and mushrooms, you basically can put as much as you want! Wow I was so disappointed with my experience here. I have been to several Blaze pizza locations around the country and this one was the by far the WORST. I came with a few friends at around 7pm and the line was out the door. When we finally made it to the front of the line, we were greeted with extremely rude servers that seemed to be in a rush to get rid of us as quickly as possible. Every time I asked for a topping, the server would sigh and sprinkle on a tiny piece of whatever I had asked for. We barely had any time to read the topping options before the server moved on to the next topping section! One of my friends asked for some spinach and the server replied that it was in a different section so he couldn't go back and get it???!! It was an extremely stressful experience, and I ended up with a pizza that barely had any toppings! Furthermore, the environment behind the bar seemed to also be very stressful. There was a manager yelling at one of the servers for going too slow and spilling some of the toppings outside of the pizza. It was so rude and I felt so bad for the server. I really wish that this Blaze location was good because my experiences at other Blaze locations have been amazing, the servers were super helpful and generous with the toppings. Of course, it was peak dinner hours, the place is gonna be busy, I get it. But I watched the employees just goofing off, talking, and taking their time with everything instead of working quickly to get through the long line. I even heard one of the workers complaining she didn't want to be at the end of the assembly line and asking to switch. Sorry you hate your job but there are people waiting for their food, maybe you could complain to your supervisor after your shift ends? - I know I shouldn't expect the best professionalism at a fast-casual pizza joint but I was a little annoyed that these people didn't seem to care at all about the customers. There was literally a crowd of people waiting to pay because no one was manning the registers. Who let this happen? - One of the employees in charge of making the pizzas had a full on beard and was not wearing a beard net. That's so unsanitary and gross, and probably a health code violation?? Overall, if you're in the Fenway Park area, I'd recommend Tasty Burger because their food and service are way better. this place is a pretty good place for a quick meal if you're craving thin-crust pizza! - notes - both cash and card are accepted! - atmosphere - there's plenty of seats and tables on the inside! the vibes are pretty casual and it's relatively clean too. - overall experience - we came on a saturday afternoon at around 12:00 pm and they didn't seem to be that busy. we were able to put in our orders basically right away and our orders were made within 10 minutes. the staff was pretty nice as well! 4/2/22 i decided to get the take-two, which is a great option if you don't think you can finish a whole pizza! the total was around $11, which i think is a pretty decent price for the amount of food that you get. -build your own half 11-inch pizza: on my pizza, i decided to get red sauce, shredded mozzarella, grilled chicken, and pepperoni. i didn't have much complaints since it was just your basic brick-oven thin-crust pizza. the crust was a bit soft but also kind of crispy on the outside. my only major complaint is that the pizza was cut into really 3 uneven pieces; two of the slices were super big and the middle slice had no crust on it at all. the pizza tasted alright; it was nothing special, and i do wish that the red sauce had stood out more. i also felt like the portions of toppings could've been bigger, but it was still enough to fill me up.
