Omg. O. M. G. I can't express how much I love and am impressed with blaze pizza. While I've only ever been to this Fenway location, I'm literally flabbergasted by the value and deliciousness of the food. I ordered a personalized pizza with 12 toppings, that at any other pizza joint, I'd have to pay for. All that for a little under $9. Flabbergasted. Not only that but it's amazingly yummy to boot and does not take long even with a long line of people. If you happen to be waiting in line, just hop on your phone and place an online order. Our pizzas came out of the oven by the time the people in front of us ordered. Their special drinks are also pretty good. The lemonade is a little too sweet, but the blueberry hibiscus is very good. The matcha one tastes like you'd expect, matcha flavored water. I just love that I can get endless toppings. Even with the smorgasbord of toppings, the crust was able to hold and I could actually fold it and take a bite without everything spilling out. Amazing. This time around I got a pesto base, which is a tad bit oily but nonetheless delicious. You know it's good when I'm raving to people and asking them if they've been to the chipotle of pizzas. One of the best pizzas I've had for the price I got it at. Blaze makes pizzas which you can customize with different types of sauces and unlimited toppings. I recommend getting the high rise(thicker crust but still thin) if you want a lot of toppings because their regular crust is fairly thin but still delicious. I did half pesto and half spicy tomato sauce which were both full or flavor. I went overboard with the toppings, but the pizza still came out pretty good and then I topped my pizza off with more pesto and arugula after it came out of the fired oven. The service is really friendly and the pizzas come out really quick. They also have to go boxes you can grab yourself and a wall full of condiments if you want to add them yourself. read more

Second time visiting Blaze, so I've been to this location and the one closer to Chinatown. Both locations are great, although the Fenway location has a bunch of outdoor seating which is nice. The pizza is really delicious. They make everything right in front of you and everything is fresh. I love the pre-made topping combinations, and then I love the fact that you can add "finishes" to the pizza after it's been cooked. This time I got a Meat Eater and added Arugula as a finish. The pizza comes right out of the over when you order it and they ask you to choose a finish right after they take it out of the oven. Had to stay and eat it there because it's delicious right out of the oven. They also have salads and desserts. Overall, I love the casual vibe of this place, and the quality of the food is amazing. I've heard so much about Blaze that I figured it was finely time to try them out. The crew working here are incredibly nice and will help you with some of their own recipes to make a really good pie. I went with the standard crust, spicy tomato sauce, and a whole boat load of toppings for less than $10 and I had leftovers for the next day. The concept of the place is amazing. All toppings, as many as you want, for the flat rate of the pizza. There's no extra $$ for extra meats or anything like that. No fine print. The end result is some really great pizza. They also have some pre-made combinations if you're feeling a bit too indecisive. There was somebody (who I venture to guess is the owner? They are franchises) walking around and checking to see if anyone needed any to go boxes and making sure everything came out perfect. Nice guy while not being overly friendly. This place is amazing for what you get. Our party of 5 all did the BYO and everyone devoured their entire pizza except me where I ate only half. BUT, I have to say that I eat a lot but I can only eat really small portions in one sitting so I probably eat 100x a day. The other half made for a filling lunch the next day :) For the size of the pizza and the amount of unlimited topping choices there are, this pizza is a steal at $7.95 BYO. Also, if you register and download the loyalty app, you get a free drink the first time. I've only been here this one time but I look forward to more visits in the future. I'm not sure why I haven't gotten my flames yet on the app but that's more of an issue on the app and not this store specifically. Anyway, the drinks are pretty refreshing too. My BYO consisted of original dough, spicy red sauce, mozzarella, smoked ham, applewood bacon, mushrooms, pineapple, and spinach. Basically, my own version of a Hawaiian pizza - absolutely delicious! The pizza itself just tastes a lot "healthier" than what you would get anywhere else. It's not greasy at all so it still tasted good the next day. Just toast it up a bit though because it can get a bit softer as any pizza would. This specific location has a decent amount of outside seating, so perfect for warmer days. This place was right near our hotel so we decided to check it out. The young lady taking orders was very friendly and knowledgeable and quickly explained how it all works. Basically, this is like Subway for pizza lovers. You can pick a pre-set recipe or build your own, then they cook it right there for you. Salads are also an option, and they have fountain drinks. I got a BBQ chicken pizza that was quite good, and my wife got the Meat Lover's pizza. Both had plenty of toppings, tons of cheese, and were quite filling. They have different crust options, including cauliflower, but we just did the standard which is like thin crust but a bit thicker and with a nice crunch. I love this Blaze in the Fenway. Great location: next to Fenway Park and close to Longwood Medical Area for healthcare workers to grab something quick to eat after work. Pies are cooked in their fire oven with a nice thin crust. I love the fact you can have unlimited toppings, but their signature made pies are way better because it portions out the pie evenly without having it too overwhelming with flavors. Best pies: white top & BBQ chicken! Workers are also very kind. Shoutout to Haji!!!!! I had to ask him his name, because he made the time to grab me a bag (even when I didn't ask), made sure that my 4 pies were made to perfection, and had the best manners. Blaze is a cool concept - a Chipotle-like assembly line and pizza fast-fired in ~3 min. - but the execution is a little off. We stopped in during lunchtime on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. We ordered 3 pizzas - 2 signature pizzas off the menu and 1 build-your-own. There were 3 people working on the assembly line, and it was a bit a chaotic. It seemed like there were too many cooks in the kitchen as they were getting in each other's way and getting confused about which people in line ordered what. One of them also didn't seem to quite know how to make one of the signature pizzas we ordered, which held things up even more. At the end of the line, there was then one guy putting the pizzas in the oven, re-shuffling them, taking them out, cutting the up and adding final toppings, calling out orders AND ringing everyone up at the register. This was the biggest part of the logjam and made absolutely no sense given how many people were working behind the counter. All-in-all, it took about 20-25 minutes from the time we stepped in line to the time we received our pizzas (all of which came ready at different times and behind people we were in front of). All of that being said, the pizzas are really, really good. Also, the prices are extremely reasonable for the size of the pizza you get - a full meal for under 9 bucks. We didn't try the salads but they looked good. The food and value is a 5, but unfortunately the logistics bring Blaze down to a 3 overall. read more

Blaze Fenway is definitely the closest location to me so far, and luckily I have yet to pay full price for one of their delicious thin crust, unlimited topping pizzas from all the promos! (Totally worth the $8.25 + taxes anyway!) Please, pretty please open one up in Chestnut Hill NEXT?! On weekends I often find myself craving the strangest combo of toppings and Blaze definitely satisfies with their huge menu of sauces, meats and all important veggies. You can even make half one pizza and the other with totally different ingredients. Although you should probably also be mindful of how many other starving patrons are waiting behind you. The menu itself can be overwhelming at first, but their signature pizzas are a great place to start and of course you can add on your own customization. Embarrassingly enough I've also been told "You might not want to add that many toppings because the pizza may not cook evenly!" The end product although very savory and filling, I have to admit was a little over the top since it turned out to be a bit too salty with the smorgasbord of meats. As this place is in the city there's no designated parking aside from testing out your luck with street parking. It's almost exactly in between the Fenway and Kenmore stops and right across from Tasty Burger. I've tasted their refreshing beverages blood orange lemonade and the fresca and they are a great combo with a Build Your Own (BYO) pizza! Also those s'more cookies when they come right out of the oven are heavenly. Salads are also a nice way to balance out the pizza if you don't want to feel like a complete blob scarfing down a 800+ calorie pizza. They also have the perfectly sized half pizza boxes to spare yourself from overeating your mountainy unlimited topping pizza. The only main drawbacks I have to mention are the the weird glitches with their app, questionable restroom cleanliness and consistency of the pizza makers. I went here one time with a buy one get one free offer and they charged me full price for someone else's online order when I tried to pay with my card linked to the app. Then the manager was saying it was not going through so it was my lucky day that I got 2 free pizzas when in reality I paid for both of them and needed to ask for a refund when I checked my pending credit card activity. (Also my flames seem to have disappeared from the rewards!?) The other issue is with the bathroom that seems to be outside in a shared area with the Fenway Community? Ugh maybe it's the customers but... it should be cleaned more frequently I decided to bypass using it altogether after seeing disgusting state. When I visited just today my friend and I ordered separate pizzas but she was actually given my pizza since the numbering was off compared the one with the actual pizza and I received hers. This place opened up near my work and it's a great pizza option! I describe it kind of as a Qdoba for pizza. You can choose a crust (regular, thick, gluten free) and then any of the pre-determined pizza toppings from the menu, or pay a couple bucks extra and do a choose-your-own. The sizes are just about right for one person, though if you get a lot of toppings or the thick crust, you will probably want to take advantage of the half-size to-go pizza boxes they have near the drinks! I especially like that I can get a simple margherita pizza if I want something lighter, or I can load it up with all the meats, if I want something heavier. Considering they bake your pizza in front of you and call your name when it's ready, the wait time isn't that bad at all - maybe 10 minutes? read more

Im a huge fan of this place. I work down the block from this place so i come here pretty often. You can customize your own personal pizza however youd like with as many toppings you'd like as well. They have so many types of ingredients for you to choose from. This is especially great if you're trying to be healthy but want pizza. They have tons of veggies and other alternative options such as vegan cheese and turkey meatballs - both are actually pretty good. Only downside is that the workers here have a tendency to burn my pizza. It's still edible, so it;s whatever to me. There's also tons of seating so you can come with a big group. They also offer side salads (which I haven't tried yet, because pizza, but I'm sure they're great). It's all high-quality ingredients and delicious every time. I always get chicken, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and extra spinach (so I can tell myself there's vitamins in there). You start with the crust, they have a high rise option and gluten free option. The high rise costs a little extra. You can get creative and add any toppings you want without additional charge. For meats you can choose from: bacon, meatballs, chicken, sausage, pepperoni, salame, and ham. For veggies you can choose from: artichokes, arugula, banana peppers, basil, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, chopped garlic, jalapeños, mushrooms, olives, pineapple, red onions, red peppers, roasted garlic, sautéed onion, spinach, and zucchini. You can also add a variety of cheeses. For sauces, you can choose from: red sauce, spicy red sauce, white cream sauce, pesto sauce, bbq, olive oil drizzle, ranch, balsamic glaze, and buffalo sauce. The assembly line move quickly and the wait for the pizza isn't too long and it is reasonable. They cook it in their brick oven which gives the pizza a nice char. We were on our way to another restaurant, but we couldn't resist the smell of fresh pizza and had to go in! There was quite a line, but service is very fast. It is like the pizza version of Subway. The workers there are so friendly and sweet. They made the line go by fast -- conversational and light-hearted. I typically wouldn't tip at a place like this, but I loved it so much! The pizza was amazing. All my friends loved their pies. I just got a simple pie, essentially sauce and cheese. 5/5. The pizza is thin crust with the perfect proportion of sauce and cheese. Finished it in no time. For $5.95 for a whole pizza, I've never had better. Would definitely come back. Finally, they take the piece of paper with your order written on it, the paper that was on the dirty counter, and put it on top of your pizza, which is unsanitary! As good as the food was I can only give 4 stars because while the staff was friendly enough, they were disorganized and nonchalant. We ordered 5 pizzas, one of which never came because they gave it to an online order. When paying we used my som's rewards app, but the cashier messed up when entering the order, then had to start over (after loudly cursing) and he ended up not getting the credits applied. I love Blaze Pizza. I have always heard great things about them, and I finally got the opportunity to try them. I think their pizza was amazing and the service was outstanding. The only downfall is that there is a line, this place is popular, and let me tell you, it is worth the wait! The idea of the restaurant is to build your own pizza (but there are options so you don't have to make your own). The menu up top gives you three dough choices: regular, thicker crust, and... GLUTEN FREE! I am so happy for that because otherwise I would not have been able to eat here. While I was waiting in line there was a person flattening dough in this machine, it was fascinating to watch while waiting my turn. When I got up to the counter I asked for gluten free dough and the woman helping me asked me if I would like for her to have everyone change their gloves! That was awesome (celiac friendly!!). Also, I noticed when my dough was being flattened she used a different machine so it had not touched dough with gluten. They have the options listed on the menu overhead and when you're ordering you can see what they have through the window. I got a pretty basic cheese pizza (they do have daiya!), with some mozzarella, parmesan, smoked ham, and baby spinach. You can have it for there or get it in a takeaway box. Once your pizza has been assembled they put it in this giant oven. The final product was delicious. The gluten free crust was noticeably thinner than the other crusts, but it didn't taste powder or gross. It just tasted like pizza!
