This Blaze Pizza is located in the Akers Mill Square shopping center at the corner of Cobb Pkwy and Akers Mill. This review update is based on my late Sunday afternoon takeout. I've been doing takeouts from here for the past 7 years and this is my first visit since their remodel. +.   Ambiance is a bright and clean fast casual resto post their lengthy remodel. Their layout has changed slightly and the make / ingredients counter is now facing the parking lot. The menu signs are bigger and easy to read above the ingredients counter. The seating is about the same as before. ++.  Food is fast casual pizzas and make your own (MYO) individual pizzas. This location is now a TEST restaurant for Blaze which includes a fold pizza (like calzone). I came here for my usual MYO pesto, chicken, arugula pie to go. This time though I added more mushrooms. It took about 10 minutes as I didn't have any wait and got exactly what I wanted. IMO ingredients: shaved parm, fresh mozzarella, artichoke hears, roasted garlic etc., at this Blaze is higher quality and better selections than other MYO pizza restos. I saw a sign for a LARGE pizza by the door...I pretty much get their MYO individual size all the time, so I hadn't noticed they had a large option before. ++ Price is reasonable and very good value given both quality and quantity. 7 years ago, I think MYO was about $7-$8 and now (Q42025) it's a little over $12 with tax. They've kept much of the same ingredients and there's been no skimping and shrinking of the size/quantity here :) ++ Service was prompt and friendly. Staff were smiling and I felt joyful here. My experience has been, it takes about 10-15 minutes for my individualized pizzas to go in the past 7 years. It's EaSy here :)). + Parking is a shared lot in an outdoor shopping center and is free. Over all, this Blaze is my favorite fast casual pizzeria and my 3rd favorite all around Atlanta. That's saying something since there are at least a dozen pizzerias within 2 miles and many, many more within an hour of Atlanta. Enjoy! This was my first time visiting after this location was closed for quite a while. I really liked the kiosks, HOWEVER, apparently if you order a Detroit-style pizza from the kiosk, it doesn't show up on the order screen. I had my own "build your own" pizza and cheesy bread fully cooked and ready to go before my fiancé's pizza Detroit-style pizza was even started because they had no idea he ordered it. The kiosks also do not print out receipts so if you miss your order number showing up on the screen, the only proof you have may be showing that your card was charged. Thankfully we didn't have to worry about that because the staff was super nice and understanding. The menu seems the same from before they closed but the inside layout is different. They renovated the restaurant and added a few extra options. There are kiosks to order from if you'd like to and QR codes at the tables to order from if you don't want to stand in line. They will bring the food to your table as well. The inside is slightly smaller than it used to be but they did open a patio. The customer service has gotten better as well read more

I really enjoy Blaze Pizza, which makes this experience all the more frustrating to write about. I stopped in this afternoon, excited to build my own pizza -- it had been a while since my last visit due to living further north. When I arrived, a few customers ahead of me were already being helped, so I patiently waited my turn. What followed was truly disheartening. Despite three or four employees actively working nearby, not a single one acknowledged my presence -- no eye contact, no "be right with you," nothing. At one point, a gentleman in a black shirt approached the area, walked right past me, and greeted the customer who had just walked in behind me. After directing that customer to the fountain drinks, he glanced my way and simply walked off to another register without a word. Desperate for some clarity, I asked the employee standing directly in front of me if I was perhaps waiting in the wrong spot. She confirmed I was in the right place to order -- but still offered no apology, no eye contact, and no indication that she'd be with me shortly. Having not eaten all day, I was truly looking forward to that pizza. But after continued silence and zero acknowledgment, I made the difficult decision to walk out. I ended up at Top Spice in the same plaza, where I was welcomed immediately. I sincerely hope this location addresses its customer service -- the local community deserves better. What makes this even more bittersweet is that I just purchased a new home nearby last week, so I'm actually closer to this location than I've ever been. I love Blaze but my experience here this week was pretty awful. There were tons of employees but it seemed like everyone was moving in slow motion. It was almost 20 minutes from starting my order to getting to the register to pay, not including cooking the pizza. I wanted a specific pizza listed in the app that the employees knew nothing about, so I did a byo. I love all of the veggie options, especially the broccoli, but it doesn't make sense to me that the onions, broccoli, artichokes, etc. aren't pre-chopped enough and they have to tear them up to put on each pizza. Then it seemed like they were only putting 2 or 3 pizzas in the oven at a time, so that took forever. I was so excited to see mine come out of the oven...and it fell off the paddle onto the floor. I literally gasped. I was told I had to get back in line and do it ALL OVER AGAIN and I got one unenthused "I'm sorry." It also seemed like they kept skipping the people ordering in person to make the online orders. I understand that they have to be made too but maybe make the people that are there feel seen at least. Say what you want about fast casual chain restaurants, but I'm a huge fan of Blaze. Blaze Pizza brings the concept of customized meals to the pizza universe, and customers are presented with a truly dizzying array of options and toppings. The process is simple - choose your dough, cheese type (plant-based cheeses are available), sauce type, and toppings. The raw pizza then goes into a blazing hot oven for a surprisingly short wait and then you can choose your finishings (greens, oils, and/or herbs). Over the years, I've noticed - with great appreciation - that Blaze has expanded its options to welcome all sorts of alternative diets. To wit, there are now four types of doughs available - original, gluten-free, keto, and cauliflower - and when I asked for a gluten-free dough, the server kindly offered to have everyone handling my pizza do a glove change. The original dough isn't what I'd expect from a traditional pie; in my opinion, it errs more on the side of a thick and stretchy tortilla than a pizza dough. But, as they say, "it's its own thing". The dough is thin and crispy, especially if you request it 'well done', a request to which the servers have been more than amenable. Speaking of servers, the folks working here are always so polite and helpful. I tend to get on the persnickety side about how much cheese or toppings I'd like, and I've yet to see an eye roll or flicker of irritation. Instead, they're eager to check in and make sure I'm okay with the amount and spread of my chosen toppings, and that kind of service is just the cherry atop the delicious pizza pie. Pizza is clearly the main eponymous focus here, but there are decent salad options available. There's also a limited number of alcoholic beverages for those who are so inclined. If you're looking for a New York-style pie, this is probably not going to fit the bill for you. The vibe walking in was chill. It was slightly busy but you could tell everyone was excited for their pizza. I love the pricing-very family friendly. My family got the meal deal which was (3) 11 inch pizzas with 2 sides (cheesy bread and cinnamon sticks) for $35! Yes we had leftovers. Only reason I'm offering 4 stars instead of 5 is because a couple of the employees seemed like they truly didnt want to be there... so that little negative energy was in the atmosphere. Also, my family agreed that the pizzas and bread could've been taken out about 1 minute sooner. We still enjoyed the crisp though. Ingredients were fresh and the pizza was amazing!! Randomly popped in here prior to a work event. No expectations which is always good. Very similar concept to Your Pie. They are the Whichwich of Pizza: build your own personal pizza right there on the spot. Subway concept as well, with the ingredients staring you in the face. Atmosphere is good: todays hits on the radio, booth and high top seating inside with outside seating too. The small pizza is thin but just enough to fill you up. Cost was perfect: you could pay more for a frozen pizza easily. I got a pineapple and jalapeño pizza and, while it's nothing to write home about, it was still delicious. My only knock here is no beer on tap. But they do have white claws and Miller lite. Staff was pleasant and friendly. This is a good bang for your buck stop for pizza. I visited this location on 5-10-25, around 4:30 p.m. to order simple build your own to go regular pizza. I waited more than 20 minutes to be acknowledge. The restaurant had a total of 4 customers, 2 who had already made their order and sitted, one guy ahead of me. It was very disappointing. The employees rather joke, laugh and ingnore customer while on the clock. They did not want to work, the restaurant needs a thorough deep cleaning and new management. No employee wore a hairnet, but most of them had medium length to long dread locks, under the age of 30 and only one, female working. The others were there for entertainment. The food temperature was not correct, the oven temp was too high, thus causing a hard black crust. The wait time was unreasonable given hardly any customers and the attitude of the employees were unacceptable. My pizza crust was brunt and hard. Because of the long wait time and poor customer service, and frustration, I just asked for a refund. Restaurants should not be operated or managed by incompetent employees, food quality and food consumption is serious and should be taken as such. This location either need to hire a more professional and experienced manager or close its doors. read more

We entered and they haven't even started yet. 30 minutes go by and the manager reminds one of the workers to fulfill our order while countless of other orders got fulfilled, when asked about the status, he lied and said, "the cauliflower crust was defrosting". I am only writing this because could have went horribly bad. So last night, went in an ordered 3 pizzas and drinks; 2 high-rise and 1 original. Got home and the pizzas tasted great! I went to bite into another slice and I have braces and I felt something metal hit my teeth! It was the metal numbers stands that they put on the pizza. It was late so I called the restaurant the next day and asked for the manager. She got on the phone didnt introduce herself. I asked for her name and begin to tell her what happened. She said OMG and asked if I was okay. I told her yes but if it wasnt for my braces it could have been worse. She agreed and said she would inform the staff to be extra cautious. She didn't offer any compensation at all. I told her to have a great Merry Christmas and we hung up. I thought surely it would get a comp. drink or something but nothing but a Merry Christmas. Oh my word. KETO pizza. I have died and gone to heaven. About 10"pizza is 6g net carbs and 51g of protein (!) and just 410 calories. And cooked in the fire oven, it was crispy and yummy. Get the spicy red sauce to kick it up a notch! Tons of choices for toppings- think subway for pizza. Very fast turnaround since the oven is so hot. Friendly staff and you can even get a beer :) I wish we had one closer to home- this would definitely be on a regular rotation. Pizza, blue cheese salad and two beers were $25. This has become my go to pizza spot. They have the best pizzas! Fresh ingredients and made right there in front of you. My fav is the red vine pizza with extra fresh mozzarella. The lemonade here is pretty good as well. For dessert I like to order the brownie. I love that you can get half of a pizza which is more than enough for me. I highly recommend trying this place. Parking is free and this restaurant is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Service is normally pretty fast but you will have to wait for the pizza to be made. I will suggest checking to make sure your order is completely correct before leaving bc on my last visit I ordered a brownie but once I got home I realized they gave me a chocolate chip cookie. read more

Big fan of this place. Was excited to Blaze Pizza because there isn't one where I'm from. This is a typical, fast casual/made to order type of restaurant. They offer pizza, salads are sides. There are pre selected pizzas you can choose from or you can make your own. I decided to make my own pizza and kept it simple with pepperoni and banana peppers. I was very impressed that all the ingredients to choose from looked fresh and things seemed to be kept well stocked. The pizza didn't take long at all to make and was served hot. With so many food options I greatly appreciate places where things can be kept simple and there's no fuss. This is one of those places. read more

However, the store does not close until 10 PM. After being we wouldn't be served due to staffing issues. Horse playing on the front line and there were 5 staff members including the manager Morgan Gill. Then two of the staff members were arguing in front of additional customers that were waiting for orders, there appeared to be an additional conflict another customer had with a employee They continue to reject multiple additional customers as I watched vehicle. We will never patronize Blaze Pizza again. read more

I'm probably the last person in North America to check-out the Blaze chain, but better late than never! A friend of mine has been raving about this place forever; I finally gave in and joined her for a weekday lunch, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how great the experience was. Long story short - Blaze's concept is very similar to Chipotle. You can either order one of their pre-configured pies, or go the build-your-own route. Tip: If you choose to build your own pizza, you'll pay the same (reasonable) price regardless of how many toppings you have put on your pizza - is that cool or what!? I've been her several times now, and have been quite impressed with both the service and the quality of the pizza. The lines move quickly, the staff is efficient and friendly, and there's an nice selection of cheeses, fresh meats, and vegetables for toppings; there are multiple crust options as well. As you walk down the line you tell the cooks exactly what your "pizza masterpiece" will look like, and then they cook it. The pies don't take long - it's usually less than 10 minutes before they're ready. So far, my go-to favorite pre-configured pie is the Meat Lovers; my build-your own favorite has pepperoni, crushed garlic, spicy sausage, mushrooms and tomato sauce. Whatever way you choose to go, I predict that you too will become a fan of Blaze once you give this place a try! read more

When I entered the restaurant, there was no line. Nobody greeted me when I entered or departed the restaurant, but they do greet you once you reach the order taker. It took around 5 minutes for them to make my Build Your Own pizza. I like their selection of toppings, including gorgonzola cheese. The team members building my pizza were all friendly and helpful. After my pizza was finished, it took less than 3 minutes for them to bake it. I was impressed with how quickly it was ready. It came out of the brick oven piping hot. One of my only complaints evolves around their App. I had received an email from Blaze earlier in the week telling me that some of my flames (points) would be expiring soon. I had also received an email enticing me to come in for free garlic knots. So, this is what brought me into the restaurant today. After I received my free garlic knots, I tried scanning the App to use points towards a free drink. It would not work. Apparently, you can only redeem one free item per visit. Therefore, while I did receive my free knots, I will end up losing my flames which are going to expire today. My only other observation regarding this visit is that the restaurant was a little dirty. When I entered the restaurant, there were used napkins on the floor by the entrance and by the trash can. There were also used napkins on the floor under a number of the tables. Finally, I'd like to mention that this restaurant does not serve straws. At first, I was slightly annoyed, because I prefer to use a straw. Afterwards, I read their sign informing me that their lids are designed to be used in place of a straw. I tried their lids, and they worked well. So, while the situation with their App was frustrating, the pizza, garlic knots and chocolate chip cookie were all fresh and hot. I'll definitely return for the food. read more

Delivery Orders Beware, this store contracts Door Dash to deliver their food. Blaze does not disclose this info on their app, and I would have picked the pizza up had I known. I just had a really terrible experience with DD Wednesday night. (See my other recent pizza review) I placed my order through the Blaze App for delivery @4:54pm to be delivered at 6:15. My pizza arrived at 6:30. The boxes were cold, the bottom of boxes were cold. Opening the boxes, the pizza looked cold, the way pizza looks after it's been in the fridge overnight. The pizza was cold, and the specialty pizza was missing ingredients, the crust itself had a black grainy residue on it. The crust was neither burnt, nor did it have cornmeal on it. I called the store. I spoke with manager, and she offered no solutions, and insisted I call DD because they ran my card, even though my card was ran on Blaze Pizza's app. She either doesn't know what the heck she is doing or just lied. She certainly didn't offer any resolutions. Customer satisfaction doesn't not appear to be high on her list. I also called DD, not bc they can do anything, since payment is processed through the store app. , but because they have the ability to call the vendor to correct order and propose solutions. Unfortunately, they were unable to also get any resolution. Here's my take on the pizza, It would have been really good if they knew the difference between bbq and balsamic, and the actual ingredients had been included on the pie. It was just this year that I found out about this place. I have not had the chance to dine-in but, I have placed a couple of orders through curbside pickup and delivery and the food was delicious! The process was very seamless. For the curbside pickup, they had designated parking spots. I like how they let you customize or build your own pizza from choosing the dough, cheese, etc. you want. They also have some you can get that already have the toppings on them. They have vegan options. Their portion sizes are great to me. I can eat the food without feeling like I overdid myself. We got the 11-inch pizzas, cheesy bread, and s'more pie. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a pizza place. read more

After walking over and bypassing the 10 or so people in line I ended up watch every single one of them get there pizza cooked and leave before my pizza came out of the oven. I watched what I thought was my pizza come out and get sat on top of the oven. I finally walked over and asked if that pizza was mine and he looked at it and said on yeah, sorry. I thought by ordering online my pizza should be good to go but it was missing items. My recommendation is to just stand in line it's faster and you can make sure your toppings are correct. Today was the first time I've had Blaze Pizza and it's Pi Day so I was able to select any pizza with as much toppings as I wanted for $3.14! The pizza was 11 inches and I got the White Top pizza which comes with white cream sauce, mozzarella, bacon, garlic, and arugula. I added grilled chicken and bacon to mine. They also have fresh mozzarella, Gorgonzola, and other signature cheeses to choose from, as well as other signature toppings. I think the pizza was pretty good. I like the fact that the dough was thinner than most pizzas so it was nice and crispy. I think there was a good balance and it wasn't too over the top and greasy like other chained pizza restaurants. Therefore, I don't feel as guilty for having it. I will say, I'm not sure I tasted much of the white sauce, but I guess I could have asked for more as they were making it. It's all good though. I didn't need the extra fat and calories lol. All in all I enjoyed my pizza and it's a nice size for one person. There's a total of 6 slices and I ate half of it and was full. Now I can go back later or tomorrow and have the rest! The line wasn't too bad when I got there, and it seemed to move fairly fast. I think they were very efficient and organized with their structure of getting people in and out. I believe I waited a total of 40 mins from when I stepped in the line, pro placing my order, and then receiving my order. The only time I became a little frustrated was when my pizza wasn't up and a number of people who ordered after me received there's first. Overall, I don't think it was a bad wait for a personalized pizza for $3.14 as I've seen lines for other Pi Day specials and it just was too much. I got in and out in less than an hour. read more

My friend suggested coming here for dinner and I am so glad she did! I enjoyed my pizza so much that a few days later, I had to bring my husband here! Yes, I was back after two days! I did the "build your own pizza" deal which consisted of the classic red sauce, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, pepperoni, smoked ham, red onions, fresh basil, and oregano. It was really good! I like the thin crust and that there is not too much sauce. My husband got one of their "signature pizzas" called Link In. Although he said his was good, he still liked mine better! I will definitely come back here and try another pie! Might I add that the price is just right! read more
