The gentleman working on Saturday night (7/18) is extremely rude and unprofessional. We walked in the restaurant after 8pm. We did not read the sign on the door because it was open. The gentleman said "sh@t ya'll can't read... it says we close on 8pm. " I was very confused and taken aback by his tone and language. No, I didn't read the door. If you're closed then why is the door open? And there is a much better way of communicating than cursing at your patrons. Walked in because I was hungry and haven't had a Philly cheesesteak since I was last in Philadelphia. Decided to give it a shot. The ambiance reminded me of the spots in Philly and they make your food fresh to order right in front of you. The waitress was so friendly and suggested what I order. Suggested the works with pepper jack cheese to add an extra kick and jalapeños (only suggest if you enjoy spicy foods). And I'm glad she did! This Philly was superb and hit the spot. i went in for lunch today because the line was too long at the place I wanted to patronize. I should have been more patient. They state extra lean steak. Whatever the ground up, gristle laden grey meat was on the bun, it bore no resemblance to thinly sliced steak. The menu describes The Works as including mushrooms. I didn't see any and showed the three people at the register. The cashier looked at the sandwich for a while and pointed out one mushroom stem, but after a little discussion with the other two agreed to have the grill guy cook up some for me. The mushrooms are right out of a can, not fresh, with that canned, processed taste and mushy texture, instead of a grilled taste and appearance. The onions are supposed to be caramelized. No they are just grilled. It was supposed to include sweet peppers, not banana peppers. No surprise there - it had hot banana peppers. Totally ruined the sandwich. It takes a real effort to make that many errors on an order that had one sandwich and a fountain drink, but their grill guy was up (down, actually) to the challenge. If you are tempted to eat there, just resist it. Go just about anywhere else nearby and you will be doing yourself a favor. read more

I prefer to phone my orders in and I have no issue with being put on hold for a reasonable amount of time while they serve customers in person. Great spot to eat! I've dined here twice now (takeout both times due to social distancing requirements). The staff is very friendly and they do a great job of keeping surfaces wiped down and clean. I picked up a cheesesteak called "The Works" with steak (chicken is an alternate option). The subs come in 5", 7", or 10" sizes. My meal came as a combo (fries or chips and a 20 oz drink). The cheesesteak was delicious! The meal cost me $11.87 after a 20% military discount. Without the discount the price would've been roughly $13.50 with tax... still a decent price. This place is the worst. Ordered a plain jane combo through Grubhub and received a poorly made Philly & missing fries. Tried to call store and they would not answer the phone. The Grubhub representative also tried to call and couldn't get through. The meat was old tasting. No grilled onions were added. Couldn't taste any cheese. What is a Philly without cheese? The PC was a quick decision and it was well worth it. Got a cheese steak and fries along with 6 lemon pepper wings, only in GA can you find some lemon pepper wings cooked to order. Everything is made fresh so there is a slight wait, but it is what makes this place what it is. Cheesecake had flavor but was not as large as hoped. Ordered two separate fries since it was two of us and it came in one large container.

They had plenty of staff for 7 pm on Friday when it wasn't that busy. I was promptly greeted upon entry. They told me 15 min for my original (10 inch American wit) but it was much shorter than that. There are so many good options in the area that it makes for tough sledding when people are trying to fight traffic on 75 north or 285 east. It was definitely clean and both TVs were tuned to sports which was something I enjoyed. The advertised 92% lean beef was true for sure. This was the least greasy cheesesteak I may have ever eaten and it tasted good. It didn't blow me away with taste but was solid for sure. Not over spiced or over cooked which is more difficult to do with such low fat. The curly fries were pretty close to authentic though also not as greasy as the usual. They were not overly salted or peppered and I came away impressed. When I woke up the next day I didn't feel as rough as I may have if I consumed more of the Pat's or Geno's variety. The reason for the three stars is two fold, the price and the seating. There are no low tables, no tables at all in fact which feels more authentic but is less practical near the Atlanta perimeter. I generally would choose a high table but the counter only option would have been less comfortable with a group of 3-4 people. The business sense behind no tables encourages take out which reduces cleaning costs (a la "The founder") and the location on that side of the street is more representative of people having just exited the freeway and heading home. A Friday night "dinner" for 14 bucks isn't horrible, but I could have just went to nearby Wendy's for more like 6 bucks and been equally filled up. Nothing makes me say I will not go back, but I won't purposely go out of my way to enjoy another cheesesteak here. read more

Ok so this little spot is in the shopping center directly across the street from Chipotle and Chick Fil A on Cobb Parkway. When I stopped by it was around 6:30pm on a Sunday. There were only 2 people inside. I walked to the counter which is structured very awkwardly and tried to order. The cashier was very dry and seemed to not be interested in my questions about the menu. It was the kind of attitude that screams "hurry up and order because I don't want to be here". Luckily, she got a phone call and another cashier took my order. The grill where they cook the sandwiches is literally 2 ft. from the register so they're in a tight space there. Kind of an odd set up. Anyways, my order: Oh my goodness. This sandwich was so bad I couldn't even finish it. It did not taste like a real philly cheesesteak at all. The meat was rubbery and the bread was tough. The mixture of ingredients that I had were a mixture that I thought would be pretty good: lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, and american cheese. We went into your establishment at the Cumberland Festival Shopping Center. First of all, staff was not wearing a mask. This should of been my first warning. Secondly, the whole place was DISGUSTING. The seating area was sticky. The beverage counter had food particles all over it. Staff was cross contaminating. The grill looks like it hadn't had any basic cleaning or maintenance, let alone a deep clean. The staff looked unkempt as if they got out of bed and walked straight into work. We threw the food away. I went to grab a sandwich at 1:20 on Friday. There were 4 females working and none of them wore masks. Not "wore a mask incorrectly". Didn't wear a mask period. The person you are 1 foot away taking your order, no mask. The two making tour food, no mask. One holding the door and taking out trash, no mask. 3 men entered the store. Two were not wearing masks.
