Big Dave's has some great cheesesteaks! The menu is short and sweet. Seeing that, it's good to know that Dave's approach is to be his at one thing - cheesesteaks. I originally visited the Doraville location a few yrs ago (next to the Super H Mart) before they closed. Not being impressed then, I'd checked Dave's off my list. But a good friend changed my mind - SO glad they did! I tried the Truffle cheesesteak - ordering as it came, with no modifications. Between the truffle mayo and the cheese, I couldn't ask for more. And while I typically like peppers and shrooms on mine, this one needed nothing else. The BIG notable is that the meat is not dry at all, which a lot of places get wrong. It's a 45 minute drive for me. So I can't say that I can visit as much as I would like. But 3 visits later, it's safe to say that I'm a fan! The setting has small tables and chairs, maybe to accommodate 15 to 20 people. It is not the cleanest establishment so that could use a bit more attention. But the staff are super friendly and get you when you walk in. read more

I first wanna say customer service is 10/10. She took me in right away and answered all of my questions, pretty clean place, and no items where on the floor, clear to get to and easy parking for it to be a weekend, Only complaint is I wish they would toast the bun. And add in way more veggies for the price. I got a 9 inch. I do see some mushrooms, onions, but it also could of had tomato and a really nice toasted bun, The order I had did offer peppers but I declined. Fries was decent, fresh and hot, I'll be back again for the eggrolls. read more

Big Dave's cheesesteak was straight to the point. Simply amazing...When we came in we were pleasantly greeted by the amazing staff! Zoey , represented the Big Dave's Cheesesteak brand oh so well. I asked plenty of questions being that it was my first time here. As I expressed to her I had heard so many wonderful things about Big Dave's but I'd never been. I asked what was her favorite thing on the menu and I took her advice and I loved every bite! She took her time , answered every question, and her customer service was top-tier. Give her a raise. She was simply amazing. The food was amazing and the experience was just as AMAZING. I highly recommend you stop by. Tell them that Sonya recommended you Your stomach will thank you. read more

AAAHHHHHH-Mazing!!!! I got the 9in classic. Worth every penny. But I need to rave about the best Onion Rings I've had in like forever! A REAL onion slice! Seasoned, crispy on the outside & tender on the inside. I don't know how they did it, but the onion never slid out of the crust. That was my favorite part. So every bite was crispy perfection. And that Salmon Egg Roll is a sleeper. No matter how I photographed it, it does not photograph well. In the words of David Chang. It's ugly delicious food. Flaky, saucy goodness in an egg roll. If I knew it was gonna be that good I would've got a dozen! Then froze them to take them home. They're that good. Highly recommended! 12-27-2025 read more

Cheesesteak here was amazing. It was cheesy and not dry at all. I got the Truffle Cheesesteak and curb chips. Which are their own chips fried and seasoned with Dave's seasoning. Everything came out so hot and fresh. Everything was explained well cause we didn't know what the curb chips were. Prices were pretty on par with every other philly place. $30 for an 18inch and I will say, its a LARGE sandwich. So price point is worth it. Will definatley come back. read more

Big Dave's Cheesesteak - Truffle Cheesesteak with Curb Chips 10/10 - Cheesesteaks Near Me - Forest Park, Georgia

I heard Daves Cheese Steak was the real deal and offer a real Philly Cheese Steak, so being that I'm from New Jersey and have eaten many real Philly Cheesesteaks we def know the difference. I decided to see for myself and visit the Forest Park Main St location yesturday 9/6/26. First impression I walked into loud awful rap music being played, two young males cooks, Female cashier body language not welcoming helpful, nor knowledgeable when asked questions about menu promotions that I saw online nor pleasant only dull and appeared like she didn't want to be there. They offer three different size cheese steaks and three different prices. I saw them as small medium and large with the largest roll starting at $32.00 go figure. The Cheesesteak taste great however the baby size French Fries was way to small and they show a combo picture of the medium size cheese steak, fries and soda which I chose for $18.99 but charged me extra $3.99 for the fries and soda. My total bill went from $18.99 to $24.and change for a Cheesesteak not a soul food meal but a Cheesesteak fries and horrible soda. Not worth the prices. read more

The front door is a little awkward to find initially coming from the right side of the restaurant. All you see is WingStop signage. But their door is next to the Wing Stop. I've never been to Philly but a cheesesteak like this would certainly have you coming back for more. Juicy, meaty, flavorful with enough cheese, peppers and onions that made me inhale half of the sandwich before I could sit it down to eat any of their delicious fries. I'll be back. read more

SET THE SCENE: Tuesday just after lunch about 1:45. We were greeted as we walked in the door by several of the employees and everyone was laughing and having a good time. It's nice to see employees having a good time at their job and having a good attitude. We ordered a "Dave's Way" 6" cheesesteak with all 3 cheeses, mushrooms, onions, peppers and One regular cheesesteak with American cheese. We got combos for each which add the new "Crib Fries" I love it when places actually cook their fries to crispy. The cheesesteaks are the second best that we have found around Atlanta and our favorite is actually out hwy 212 in Newton co.. It is loud in here but it's also entertaining. They play so great 90's R&B. I don't get all the bad reviews and we will be back when we are in the area. read more

Big Dave's is always so delicious & consistent. I recently visited the Forest Park location for the first time this weekend and the cashier was so welcoming and helpful. I haven't had Big Dave's in a few months so I tried their new crib chips. They were so crispy and seasoned. I also ordered my absolute favorite menu item, salmon egg roll. They're always so crispy, cheesy, and delicious. And of course, I also got a Philly because how could I not? You have to check out Big Dave's because you'll never be disappointed with the food!! read more

My guy and I drive from Birmingham just to eat here! Is this a big back move? Yes. Is it worth it? Everytime. Its a little pricey, but well worth the price for the amount of meat on the sandwich. I really wish Derrick (the owner) Hayes would open a location here. My favorite is the salmon Philly with American cheese. The most delicious thing I've ever ate! My guy got the extra long sandwich on a recent 50th birthday trip. He had enough for three or more servings! This location has inside seating which sets the ambience for a great date day/night experience. read more

Just wanted to write a review about my experience, the reason I gave them four stars was because it is indeed a nice big fat stuffed with meat cheesesteak, I like the crinkle cut fries, they even have the tractor brand real sugar drinks which is pretty cool, for me personally, subjectively, even though I gave them four stars, I did not like the cheesesteak, it was greasy, it was over flavored with some type of spice powder that they're using that I just did not like the taste of, to be picky I did order lettuce and tomato on mine to make it hoagie style which I guess they forgot, something that did bother me is that it took way too long to receive the food and I was on limited time lunch break so... also I'll have to say after talking with another customer who said it first, they're a little bit too pricey, after getting the 9 inch cheesesteak with some fries and a soft drink it came to around $22. but I'm not trying to focus on any of the negatives, if you're looking for a big fat cheesesteak you might love their big fat cheesesteak, I just didn't happen to like it , I liked the cheesesteak I got at the mall of Georgia the other day called Charlie's cheesesteak but I only gave that a three stare, like I said the reason I gave these people four stars was because of how big and fat it was which is what I wanted but I just didn't like the taste , but you might love it . read more

This has easily became one of my favorite places to come to on the south side. The service is impeccable each time and the food is GREAT each time! LeLe the manager on duty went above and beyond to make sure me and my family was taken care of in a timely manner and she brought the good energy! Parking: it's a little limited but I have never had a problem with finding a spot even on a busy Friday evening. Food: Don't be deterred by the prices because they do not skimp on the portions! Dining: this location has a dining room and it's very well kept. Music selection is top tier as well! read more

Seeing that cheesesteak and egg roll I was ready to dig in. That cheesesteak looked crazy and fat. This was my first time so I had to get the Dave's way beef cheesesteak and salmon egg roll. It was meaty and cheesy. It was glorious. But after a few bites it felt so heavy and one note. I didn't know to add toppings or not because I felt his way was intended to be the way it comes and the best it had to offer. Maybe that's my fault. The salmon egg roll was kind of pricey for what you're getting. It was a lot of cheese and a small piece of salmon. It was fried to perfection. Hot in the middle and nice and crispy on the outside. Service is great, the team was having a great time and the person who took our order was friendly. I believe it's worth trying if you enjoy cheesesteaks but if you on a diet or concerned for your health this ain't the one. Sometimes good things aren't good for you. read more

The food is good. Customer service touch and go. Do not expect any ambience of any kind. They have seats but you can tell they don't want you eating in because there's no accommodation other than a few seats. It's really a take out joint. The price is higher than necessary and that's the only reason I docked a star. But it's decent food and I only get if I'm in area. Don't go out of your way. read more

I've heard about this franchise via instagram and by following the owner and his wife (owner of slutty vegan) so I knew I had to try this while visiting ATL. Theres nothing necessarily fancy about the actual establishment but the women I observed at the counter and on the grill were very nice and personable. BUT THE FOOD!! The food was a 10/10!! I went with the most popular item; Daves Way Cheesesteak and two egg-rolls... the chicken and salmon. SERIOUSLY!!! Food tasted delicious. Maybe the best cheesesteak I've ever had! Highly recommend anyone to stop by and try it. I heard they also just opened another restaurant in the Mercedes Stadium so you have options. read more

What can I say . I'm going to say this He has the best egg rolls in the city . Listen they are fresh and they are decent sized and not made cheap . I didn't have the cheesesteak this time but I had the egg roll combo and the buffalo and steak on are extremely good and he does a cheese streak down the middle so it makes my back that not big get excited . I also had the banana pudding and for the price it's decent but it needs more pudding than whip because it's takes the reason for having banana pudding away . Otherwise staff decent , store pretty clean . Outdoor seating and it's dope check them out . read more

I used to frequent the original location in the gas station a few years back. I was excited that there is a location close to my rental property. For one, I was pretty salty when I realized they changed the menu and don't serve wings anymore ( The Mardi Gras wings were the best I ever had!) and the cheesesteak was just mid. No flavor but the bread was good and soft. It tastes nothing like I remember and I am not going to bother going back. I'm super sad though... because I absolutely LOVED it. read more

I had the most amazing experience here at the downtown town location of Big Dave's Cheesesteak!!! First of all the customer service was absolutely amazing and that is so hard to find in Atlanta!!! Second of all they made the wait fun and enjoyable by engaging with the customers in line. The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing!!!! We were here for a conference, so there was a lot of women and when I tell you, it was just such a good time and such a good atmosphere and I will definitely be back!!!!!! shout out to Darrell and the team you guys are doing a great job and it's really clean in there. For years, I have enjoyed Big Dave's signature cheesesteak and recently tried his beef egg rolls. They were delicious and wanted to give this location a try. Please be aware this location HAS LIMITED parking. The lot is extremely small and it doesn't take long for it to fill up. I parked in the business adjacent to the restaurant. I would also order my food in advance using the app or online ordering option. Failure to doing so, can cause your wait time to be longer than expected. This spot like many of the other locations is a take out joint. The added exception is the outside patio that gives customers the option to eat their food outside. This comes in handy on a day when the weather is nice. The quality of the food was great and their salmon egg rolls are amazing. I like that the app gives me an option of what time to pick up my food. That way there's an unlikely chance your food will be cold. One last thing please check your order when they give it to you. My order was missing my bottled water that I paid for & I had to go back and get it. Staff was helpful but I had to make sure I double checked my order. My tip is to either order in advance so that your wait time is short. I deducted a star because of the limited parking situation. read more

I will start by saying...I will never do this again. I ordered a veggie cheesesteak and added extra mushrooms. As you can see from the pic, there is not a single mushroom on this entire sandwich. I basically got a bell pepper, onion and cheese sub. It's just...blah. I don't even want it anymore but I'm trying to eat it because I spent $20 for nothing. read more
