My friend introduced me to this place, and I found it to be very yummy. For it being such a small shop, it got really packed during the tail end of lunch. I was very much surprised that many people had the same idea as I did in coming here. I like to get the mushroom cheesesteak. They cook the food immediately behind the register. They were fairly quick, considering they also do Uber eats. I would come here again. Just maybe don't plan on eating in the shop during rush hour because people can be bumping into others. read more

NPWH = Nice People Work Here You wouldn't expect such friendly and interactive service from a narrow cheesesteak shop in a strip center, but once you eat here you'll understand. Most Philly Connection locations are usually staffed by 1-2 people who act as order taker and cook. Here you have a group of ladies that I assume are related (they all look and act like sisters) who treat this place like an extension of their home kitchen. There aren't any tables, so if you opt to dine-in you'll sit at one of the counters that wrap both walls. They have a TV, although I think most people usually dine alone and have their faces in their phones (maybe it was just me doing that, but I didn't look up to really observe those around me). Come for a basic cheesesteak and maybe some fries. You won't find much flavor or anything over the top here. I think they know that and so they try to do a better job with service and I think it works. read more

This the second time this happen happen to me at this place. I work long hours and time is now 8:30 and they close at 9pm 5/7/2019. They always throw the lettuce and tomatoes away at that time before closing the store and try to force you to get their product with those veggies. I really didn't appreciate the manager on staff lying saying to me that trucks run on Tuesday for produce not knowing that today was Tuesday. So that let me know that there was tomatoes in the back. When confronted about this matter, he told me he meant to say Wednesday. The cashier stated to me, "That he just finished washing the dishes" so he basically didn't want to cut a tomato for philly steak sandwich. Just poor customer services overall. I will taking this matter further tomorrow because I've been visiting a lot of these stores from Auburn,Alabama to this store here in on Cobb Parkway for the last 15 years. I was not able to eat what I had my mind set on for dinner and I'm pissed at this poor customer service from one of favorite restaurants. I will be calling the manager first thing and the morning as well as corporate about this matter and that's a FACT. read more

This location of PC was my introduction to good Philly Cheesesteaks back in the mid to late 1980s. I've since come to understand and appreciate what a "real Philly cheesesteak" is. I've come to this location at least every few years for the past 30 years I think today was my last time. The staff is super accommodating to my specific and peculiar orders, the philly is Tasty and nostalgic as I grew up down the street from one of these. I stopped by here for lunch the other day for the first time. I guess this is a chain fast food joint, but I don't see too many Philly Connections elsewhere in Atlanta. This is a very cosy little place with rows of seats against the wall. There are maybe about 12 or so seats against counters that run against the walls as you walk in. The kitchen and counter are at the back. It seems fairly popular, and there were just a few people in line ahead of me. I was able to place my order quickly, and the food came out in a couple of minutes. If you're in a rush, this is a good place. I was able to find a seat inside to eat. They have a variety of Philly cheesesteaks and some other submarine type sandwiches that they sell in three different sizes. I got a chicken sub. This had grilled chicken pieces with some garnishments. What was distinctive about this sandwich was the oregano, which was very distinctive and gave the sandwich a unique flavor. The sandwich was heated and came on a very fresh submarine roll. It was tasty and for the price a good deal. They have a few sides like fries or potato chips you can order with your sandwich. I got fries and they were shoestring type, nothing too special, Ann tasted like they were the frozen variety that they deep fried. The price for my medium sized sub and fries came to just under $10. The staff is friendly. The lady taking orders comes around the seating area and checks on everyone to make sure they're doing good. It seems like a small family type operation. I have a vague memory of this place. Good service, the cashier was very nice. I got my sub relatively quickly. Problem was, thats all I remember about this place. It's hard to go to Philly and eat a cheesesteak then have to contend with all the mere mortals (other cheesesteak shops) that arent in Philly and have to eat the embarrassment that they identify as a cheesesteak. If you want a decent cheesesteak, visit one of the many Philly Connections around metro Atlanta. They come close to how a cheesesteak should taste. They use flavorful lean steak or chicken, season it with pepper and throw it on top of a warm, chewy hoagie. They also use cheeses like provolone, American or cheddar. You can customize it with traditional toppings like onions and peppers or get creative with pepperoni slices, marinara, or banana peppers for example. But you know the only real place to get a cheesesteak is in Philly. Therefore they shall not break the 3-star status. But don't get me wrong, they are still good sandwiches. The fries are almost always cooked fresh and are really good. Expect to pay about $7-8 for a combo with fries and a drink. read more

They close before the scheduled time on Sundays and don't answer the phone at least an hour or 2 before closing time. If I was the owner of this location I'd rectify this situation. With all the hotels and apartments in the area, you are losing a lot of business. Ordered from Uber eats from here twice this weekend. Both times the steak was dry. The second time even though I added specific notes to put the mayo and hot sauce on the side, they decided to add it to all 3 sandwiches. Unbelievable! My son will not eat mayo and the hot sauce upset his stomach only after one bite! I have requested my money back but not sure what the policy is for Uber Eats. I used to love Philly Cheesesteaks from the Philly Connection but the one near me closed down several years ago. A few days ago, I was at the Cumberland Festival shopping center and saw one there. As it was already past my usual lunchtime and I was hungry, I went in to get a Philly Cheesecake Sandwich and was so looking forward to enjoying one again. About half way into the store, I saw that the man at the counter was not wearing a mask. Then another employee came to the counter and she was not wearing a mask. I literally stopped for a few seconds considering turning around and leaving. It was very strange that I actually felt worried about the place but I did. I have not been in any restaurants or stores since the pandemic where the employees were not wearing a mask. But, as I said above, I was quite hungry and really wanted that sandwich, so I went ahead up and ordered it, but staying further away from the cashier. While waiting, because of back issues, I needed to sit down and the only option was bar stools at a counter. The stools were so high that one would need a step ladder to get on one. I could only manage to get a bit of my bottom on it to try to take the stress off my back. I guess these stools are to discourage customers from staying. As I was leaving, I turned around and asked the one who made the sandwich, why no one was wearing a mask. Her reply was "We're not required to". So many thoughts ran through my head, but I just turned around and left. I couldn't believe that this would be the attitude of a business that directly serves the public. As they are reckless and irresponsible in not wearing a mask, they are probably that way about keeping things sanitized and clean. I know the bar stool was not clean as I had something smeared on the back of my pants and I had not been anywhere else where I sat down. We are not out of this pandemic yet and I feel the employees here could contribute to continuing to spread this virus. Of course, I don't know but I would imagine they do not test temps either. Anyway, I should have saved my money as the sandwich was not very good - not at all what I expected and remembered from the last time I had one. I don't know what type bread the bun was but it was not at all palatable. The meat (of which there was very little) could not be a very good cut of beef. It had no flavor and apparently none was added. The onions were somewhat over browned and there was not enough cheese to even know there was any in it. What a disappointment! A "I'm Sorry" to "Harrys Pizza and Subs" on Powers Ferry Rd - I temporarily lost my mind, going somewhere else. After the "Philly Connection" near me shut down, I tried many other places and finally found Harrys. If you want the best Cheesesteak sandwich, this is where to go. You will not believe how much meat is on this sandwich, along with diced tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and lettuce that is cooked with the other ingredients. The bun is also good. Their 12 inch will do anyone for 2 meals and the cost is about $1.00 less than the Philly Connection's 10 inch. I don't really see the need for the lettuce so I always ask them to leave that out but add more tomatoes. (My personal taste - others may like it a bit different) And now, talking about this, I'm hungry so I'm heading to Harrys! read more

First time trying this spot, my boyfriend wanted to try it. Right off the bat, the man taking orders was rude and sarcastic. Food was dry and had no seasoning, I got a Philly cheesesteak. The fries were greasy and cold by the time I got to the car. Two of the cooks were sick. Only one girl had amazing customer service, she looked like the youngest one there. This is my first visit to the Cobb Parkway location. Customer service was great but the portion of meat on my cheesesteak was minimal.

Would give this place fewer stars if I could. Been 2-3 times during Covid and employees never wear a mask, nor do most customers in there. Have tried calling before I head that direction and no one ever answers the phone. I even tried once to place an order from my car while sitting in front of the store, just so I could simply walk in, pay and grab my food, and the lazy employees in there didn't even answer the phone (with no customers inside!!). They usually run out of bread before the end of the night. And tonight we got over there 2 hours before closing and the woman inside came and locked the door in our face because she was cleaning the floor. Seriously?! You can't make sandwiches AND clean a floor during or after business hours? Pitiful. read more

Just left this Philly Connection and Trish is an amazing employee, she's very friendly and interacts very well with all customers so I actually give her a 10 star for her friendly personality, she has great customer service etiquette, she makes sure the customers are well pleased! I tried the lemon pepper wings they were actually pretty good, the WORKS Philly cheesesteak I had could actually have had a Little more seasoning and meat compared to the previous philly connection I've visited. I went to pick up my order Fri night 9/11/20 after working a 10 hour shift. I was hungry and tired. To my surprise Staff was not wearing any mask. I heard one of the workers cough and looked around the shield no mask, she coughed again and did not even try to cover her mouth or turn her head. As i looked close to see if she was even going to pretend to wash her hands or anything I noticed how dirty it was behind the counter. I held my piece, took the order and left. I love the service here. I came in because I had a big craving for some onion rings. I knew there weren't many options for vegetarian. But what impressed me the most is that Deja (hope I spelled her name right ) ASKED me if I'm a vegetarian or just no meat today. Pretend it is not called Philly Connection. Pretend you want a hot sub with melted cheese and other extras like mushrooms, onions etc. A distant cousin of a philly cheesesteak and I think you will be satisfied. Pretty much no seating because this place is TINY, but there is bar seating along the sides. They have also been playing the world cup which is a plus. The cashiers are very friendly and the service is fast. They also have a frequent diner card, half off every 5th sub. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a yummy distant cousin of the philly cheesesteak. I know I will be back! read more
