Stopped in Saturday as my brother lives in Syracuse and likes this place. Parking is limited, place is pretty cramped, and jammed, so not a lot of space. It's a huge sports bar so very noisy. Drinks were ok, food was good (I had some burger special, which was delicious), no service as you wait on yourself, and place seemed clean. If you're a sports fan, head to this place, you will love it. If you're going for the food, conversation, or to catch up with friends, give it a pass. I will not be back, my brother will! lol read more

-Honestly this place is amazing, the food is cheaper than any other bar around and tastes very good (they could charge $10 for their burger and it would still be worth it). -They have a lot of different beers, both cheaper and more expensive options. -There is a ton of seating (at the bar and in the dining room) and enough TVs for every table to enjoy a good view. -There's a pool table and a dart board -Cash only but there is an ATM in the bar -Overall this is a great bar! good food, cheap beer, and fun times. 10/10 would recommend read more

YOU MUST GO!! The prices are cheap but the food is NOT! You look at the menu and you think you are in 1994 for prices! All staff is amazingly friendly! Clean, clean and more clean! You go to a counter and grab your food and find a seat. There is no "waitstaff" but there are super fast bartenders. My table of five had ruebans, burgers, club sandwich, pulled pork, Philly cheesesteak, Mac salad, fries. Not one single complaint!! If you are in the area go!! Thinking about it now I feel awful I think you might have to bring your food baskets somewhere and we tipped and left. Oops sorry! read more

We've loved the Blarney Stone for years. That being said, had an unsatisfactory evening there last night, Customer Service has diminished. It started with not being able to get a glass of ice water with an order of two beers and one root beer, there are three of us and one of us wanted to eat our wings with ice water, we realized you changed the rules. We also realize you can't make exceptions just for us. It happened to be Wingday, So we purchased 20 wings and three burgers, we ate all the wings, asked for a togo package for the leftover burger, they rudely told us that we can't take any wings home and then we needed to bring the half burger up to be packaged, that was fine until they packaged my dad's 14 already eaten boneyard wings on top of my half a burger. Nice work, no customer service for old patrons! Plenty of places to get chicken wings and a burger in Syracuse. If you're going to remain Awesome please remember that. We do not suggest going to the Barney stone on Thursdays read more

We decided Saturday to get together with a group of friends and all have lunch, and we ended up coming here. I've personally been here many times before as it's super quick in and out to grab probably what I consider the best burger you'll have in syracuse for the money. And man oh man does blarney churn out the pub food here. They have a wing night and other basic pub fare on their menu. But the star of the show is the blarney burger which without a doubt is what I was after coming here. For 4.75 by itself you get a delicious burger with all the fixings cooked anyway you like it. None of the pink or no pink crap some places give ya and you can add bacon for a small up charge. And man is it great a good bun that even if you have it cooked rare doesn't fall apart from meat juices all the veggies are crisp and it's real bacon they use. Served with chips and a pickle. But you can also get onion rings or fries again for just a small charge. I think we spent 16$ between two of us with drinks two burgers and fries with all the fixings. They even offer free popcorn! Since I've been here last though they have recently added an expanded dining area which has a gorgeous wood look to it in my opinion. Since I like natural wood. Lots of TVs and it's own separate bar area I'm assuming for those packed weekends and busy lunch hours. This joint is cash only which can sometimes be a burden and they do have an affordable ATM on site. Only a 2$ charge which given how ATMs can be now a days totally reasonable for a fee but you can dodge it by being prepared. The staff is super friendly and the prices are reasonable. I'd definitely swing by here if I'm hungry and don't want to break the bank for a fantastic meal. read more

Blarney Stone - Blarney burger and fries. The house specialty in my opinion. - Pubs Near Me - Syracuse, New York

love coming here in groups, i'm sure all of syracuse feels the same. have an ID, bc you will be asked at the door. everything is cash only, there is an ATM with common atm fees. free popcorn is available for self serve. ** very very salty, you'll need something to drink. I usually come to wing night (thursday) because .45 cent wings, very recently, they've increased to .60 cents. which is still a great deal. you'll have to order in increments of 5, after a 10 wing minimum. they now charge a dollar for a bottle of water. which is a great sales strategy but it def makes a few people salty. just bring your own water :) Make sure you're able to hear when they announce your order over the mini PA system. read more

The Blahhhhrney Suh-tone has the most Irish sounding name for a hole in the wall pub I can think of in recent memory. I also associate the name now with some of the most juicy, cheap, heartburn inducing burgers you can find in Syracuse. What you've heard is true, this place is the real deal. FIVE FREAKIN' dollars for the juiciest 1/2 pound hockey puck you will ever taste AND it comes with some complimentary tayters to even out the meal. If you're on a tight budget, but still want to eat out then this may be the place for you. They do in fact sell things other than burgers, such as wings and cheesesteak but I haven't quite fully digested the burger I had from there two weeks ago. I definitely want to try more from their menu but this is a CASH ONLY establishment. I don't typically carry cash, but I will probably scrape up a few dollars for this place. I can't speak for much else other than the burger, but I'm confident given how smoky and fresh the burger was that their other food will be good. Not many places live up to the hype, but the Blahhhhhrney Stone sure exceeded my expectations. Give this place a wee visit when you're in the area or if you're starving right now. read more

How can anyone say they don't love this amazing place! Granted it does get a little crazy when its filled with people drinking, but it's totally worth it when it comes to the amazing food!! They even have a 40 cent wing night!! The prices are amazing as well! I have been coming here for a long time and I couldn't believe that I had not written a review yet. So this is probably obvious, but I highly recommend the Blarney Burger! The fresh beef and creamy cheese on that yummy Kaiser roll will blow your mind. They even cook it to order however you like your burger meat. The fries are so dang good as well. They are insanely crunchy and packed full of flavor. I also really love their bbq sauce, might not be house made, but whoever they get it from...its great!! Side note: if it is house made...awesome job guys! Other than the delicious food and the cheap wing night, the over all prices are insanely fair! The burger and fries cost me $7.75! Then I went over to the bar and got a soda for a buck 50. That's not bad at all! They also massively improved the seating too. If you haven't been here yet, you gotta come out asap! read more

The blarney stone offer some of the best burgers in central New York! The service is pretty good as you're able to order at a single location by the kitchen area and the bar is great. The atmosphere is relaxed with large dining areas and real Irish pub feel. if you're looking for a place to eat and drink without having to dress up, then casual dining at the blarney stone is for you. read more

The Blarney Stone is another one of Syracuse well know dive bars turned sports bar. They have grown alot over the years and expanded. They now have numerous TVs with full sports packages and delicious fried food that can be smelled in the air around the bar along with sound of classic rock. Anyone over 40 and male will love this place. read more

Great pub food for a low price! That will keep us coming back! Also, for a busy place, the staff at the ordering window are very nice. Prices on the board include tax. Definitely refreshing to get good service along with your food! Everything is pretty good: wings (spiciness of medium sauce can vary), burgers, fries. I definitely want to try their Reuben next! Oh, and remember it's cash only! read more

A friend that we were visiting took us here and oh how I wish I could take this place with me to Minnesota. There's TV's everywhere with whatever sporting event you want to see. The food is great, the drinks are good and the price is more than fair. Only down side was that this place was packed but the crowd was a good one. They had pitchers of beer for the guys and a good wine selection for me. I don't remember what the price came out to be for drinks but it was way lower than what I was expecting. I got a burger and fries for something crazy like six bucks or something. The burger was super good. It was a half pounder on a good roll with mayo and fresh lettuce, tomato and onion, just the way I like it. The fries were great as well. They were crispy and well seasoned. I wish I had this place back home. It's a great atmosphere and a good place to hang out and catch a game with some great food. read more

They have great wings awesome burgers great place to watch games and have a few drinks with freinds or family great service ever time I have been there staff are very friendly read more

Do, I have to state it? Great wings and burgers. However, they need to keep up. Several other places are having "jumbo" wings for the same or lessor price than the Blarney. Please don't slip Blarney. read more

It is a very odd set up. One side is a bar and one side has food but they don't seem connected other than being in the same building. Be aware it is both cash only! They do have an atm. They have a very nice selection of beers. And the price is extremely reasonable. We ordered food and it is an open kitchen that I wish wasn't. I wasn't enthused after seeing the condition of the flat top that didn't look like it was cleaned since the Nixon era. But you are in luck if you enjoy French fries that taste and smell like the grease they are cooked in, crispy but skanky. The steak sauce bottle and ketchup dispenser also look like they were where Covid was hatched up. Packets or single use would be better since the reusable ones don't seem cleaned. Looking back I'm not sure how we stumbled upon this place but i would probably eat prior to going next time to enjoy a beer and listen to some old man shake his fist about people that aren't getting the Covid vaccine. read more

Great local pub that is a counter-order system. The wings and blarney burgers are must try. The atmosphere is a working-class bar, however all is welcomed. The mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders are also delicious. read more

From the reviews it's pretty clear that the Blarney's burgers are sublime, not to mention cheap and fresh (not frozen). In the summertime sitting out on the deck with nothing to look at but ugly houses suits me just fine. Now that it's cold and basketball season, Blarney offers 25 cent wing night during all televised SU games (they did on NFL Sundays too). While not the biggest wings, they are always cooked to perfection when I ask how I want them. Friday's happy hour buffet isn't that bad either -- the pizza is good, taco meat like you would expect, and sub sandwiches for the most part. Hey, it's FREE food! I have no problem whatsoever paying 4.75 for a good microbrew, or 4.50 for the yummy cans of Bengali Tiger by Sixpoint. But that's just me, a beer lovin blogger and local beer writer. Their regular rotations of IPA on draft is a great idea! I had never had Mission from CA and it rocked! Jukebox is so Upstate -- Journey and Def Leppard. Gotta love the Back to the Future surreal but real down home place. Matt the manager is a great guy and always making sure the customers are enjoiying themselves. Great place. Simple food at a low or no cost and great beer and service. What more could you ask for? Don't complain! read more

Absolutely repulsive. We ordered chicken wings and got a chicken head. We brought it up to the kitchen and they took their phones out and said "we ain't ever see this". No offer for a refund or apology. read more

Great local spot! Food is always good. You can't beat the prices. The Wednesday night roast beef special is a great deal.

I come here with my friends almost every weekend for a few drinks and the level of unprofessionalism is WILD! The "bouncers" are unnecessarily aggressive and homophobic. Not a very friendly place to be. Who hires these goons? For patrons paying to eat and drink here during a pandemic they should be grateful to have us. Instead they threatened my friend who didn't provoke anyone and I was told to "suck a d***." Friends, find somewhere else to have a few. This is the second incident I've seen in the past couple weeks because of the aggressive workers and its not ok. They don't even deserve my star. read more

AMAZING BURGERS! Syracuse's best burger and fries, hands down . Cash ONLY! Clam chowder Friday's only but absolutely great.

Great burger's, wings and beer for a good price. Very friendly bartenders, staff and patrons.

Fabulous!!!! We actually stumbled upon this by accident, at about two in the afternoon just driving through Syracuse. We happen to notice the large amount of cars out in front, and thought that we should probably check this place out. Huge portions, and low prices. Fresh food, very friendly staff, it is cash only though. There is an ATM at the front of the bar, in case you don't have cash with you. We ordered fried mushrooms, Ruben, onion rings, and the haddock sandwich with fries and apple bread pudding. My sandwich was an ENTIRE fish!! Real fish, not pieces. Will be back for sure! read more

Blarney stone is my favorite bar in Tipperary hill! They have amazing food at decent prices. The only thing that is annoying is that it's cash only. But it's really not that big of a deal because they have an ATM read more

Great burgers and wings. Place is small so if you go when it's busy place can. Get crowded great local watering hole on Tip hill

My go to spot for a solid traditional cheeseburger in Syracuse. Burgers are great, and add-ons like bacon are both cheap and worth it. My only complaint is that sometimes the meat is a bit over cooked so now I order it medium rare and it comes out pink throughout. Cash only. 2 Dollar PBRs? COUNT ME IN read more

Nearly 30 years in the 'Cuse and finally visited the Blarney Stone! We'd been to a wine tasting event so needed something to blot up some of the booze! I got a mushroom burger that was awesome! Cooked perfectly with lots of flavor and not too much salt! Fries were decent, onion rings just ok. My friend got a steak sandwich that looked really good too. Beware! They only take cash so be prepared! read more

HUGE fan of the burgers here. Great appetizers too. People rave about the wings but I prefer mine crispy & these seem a little fatty to me. It has a nice set up with a few different areas to socialize and hangout but it can get real crowded, real fast. Cash only business so don't forget bc that $4 ATM fee will get ya every time read more

Good food, fair prices and quick service. Plenty of seating for sure. It was our last stop in a 12 hour drive with three hours left and it was just what we needed. We'd come back again if we're in the area. read more

I remember visiting the Blarney Stone a handful of times back in the late 80s with my parents when I was a kindergartner, Shirley Temple was my drink of choice back then. Fast forward a few decades later, finally had an opportunity to come back. I'm sad that it took me so long to return and will make it a point to visit more often. The main draw for me is the blarney burger and fries. My husband and I visited for a late lunch recently and spent roughly $15 for 2 massive burgers with toppings, fries, chips and a soda. The burgers were cooked to a perfect medium and were mouthwateringly decadent. Every element was fresh and the toasted bun was perfect. The fries were so tasty, a extra crispy beer battered type. Not a delicate meal but incredibly satisfying and a great value. The two kitchen staff taking orders were friendly. The newer part of the bar is spacious and was festively decorated with a Christmas tree. The Blarney Stone is a fixture in Syracuse and rightfully so, a genuinely solid establishment. We'll be back soon! read more

Wonderful food and great vibe! I realllly enjoy this place! I was in NY for 6 months and this was my favorite place to visit!

I stumbled upon this neighborhood gem on a cold night, all alone. Thought I'd give it a try. I've been coming back. This a convivial beer & burger watering hole catering to the locals. The vibe is welcoming and fun. They offer a fairly wide-ranging assortment of beers, including local brews. They're noted for their burgers and fries, which I rate superior to even Five Guys. But their wings and other fare are also worth a try. They've expanded, though finding seating on a weekend night might be a challenge. Service is always friendly. The Blarney also has outside seating on their wraparound porch in summer. Prices are bargain level. Cash only though. There's nothing Irish about the Blarney Stone, but that's ok. It's casual, amiable and a great place to hang out, maybe even make some friends. Well worth visiting whether you live in the area or are visiting. read more

Dude these burgers are so amazing and the cost is super low too! One of my good friends told me I should come here. He said it was one of the best burgers in the city. He was completely right. They also have amazing wings and the entire area is wicked chill. I will be coming back here really soon. Your probably looking at paying about ten bucks to feed yourself if you don't get any booze. Up to you either way. Personally I do enjoy giving myself a buzz when stuffing my face. The area isn't too shabby either. Your looking at Irish land and because of the the heritage speaks for itself. Make sure you check out the upside down street light when your there. The only issue I had is that the building could use a bit of a face lift. That and people can get pretty crazy in there. Doesn't bother me all that much but ,y girlfriend was pretty annoyed. read more

What happened to the Barney burger?just Isn't good anymore. Tried a few times and just isn't the same.

My favorite place to get a burger in Syracuse. Fairly cheap and so good! Never been disappointed by any of the food.

Pros: Local neighborhood tavern with great food, plenty of tvs and a local vibe. Great place to grab a couple pints and watch the game with friends. Also offers free coffee. Cons: limited parking. We had to park down the street and walk. No hostess to greet you. We sort of stumbled upon the kitchen in the rear and got our orders taken. No waiter/waitress to get you drinks. I was not drinking. It would have been nice to get a glass of water. Burger was on point and juicy. Fries were battered and super hot. Great hidden gem for locals in the neighborhood. The day we went they were packed. Not one table left. Glad we got there before the crowd. If I come back to Syracuse I'll definitely return. read more

Be you a Syracuse local or world wide traveler I challenge you to name a more delicious and fun eatery than the Blarney Stone in Syracuse. The menu has great food from land, air, and sea. Their great bites are accompanied by two bars which are well equipped with multiple taps as well as bottles, cans, and mixed drinks. This bar peaks when Syracuse football or basketball is on, but is typically filled with people 7 days a week. This is a great summer spot with tons of outdoor deck seating. Have a late night filled with action and leave your car so you have an excuse to come back the next day for some hair of the dog. read more
