I was looking for a spot for a quick lunch with a couple of family members who were passing through the area, and decided on Blarney because of their reputation for cheap & delicious burgers. Ironically, none of us actually ordered burgers, but everyone was happy with their meals. I ordered the shrimp & fries. The shrimp were crispy, flavorful, and plentiful, and the fries were perfectly satisfying. I'd been angling to eat outdoors, but the indoor area was actually fairly deserted when we arrived, so we felt safe enough to eat in. You order your own food at the window and drinks at the bar, but there are staff walking around to clean plates and disinfect tables. A word to the wise that Blarney is cash only. They do have an ATM onsite, but it helps to arrive with bills on hand. Great price and portions, plus it has a special sort of Syracuse mythos. read more

What a cool place to hang out, drink a beer, and watch a game. We are still in this C19 pandemic so the inside tables are separated and they are only allowing so many people inside. This bar was recommended for their burgers so that's what I ordered with a side of fries. The cheeseburger was average and looked better than it tasted but still good overall. We stopped here just after 11pm after the Elton John concert for a bite to eat. Got food from the "Late Night Grub" and thoroughly enjoyed it. We got chicken tenders, fries, and onion rings. Since we had a 2 hour drive we got cokes from the bar. Food was only $10.50. It was cooked well, not greasy, and plentiful. Definitely exactly what we needed. We stopped for dinner and a drink. Everything was self service. The food was very good. My husband had a hamburger and french fries. I had a club sandwich with potato chips. The prices were reasonable. This is a neighborhood bar with lots of people eating and drinking. We luckily found a place to park in the parking lot which was small. You don't walk up to the bar or sit at a table to wait for service. You are the service. Blue color no thrills approach here. You walk right up to the kitchen and place your order with the ones cooking it for you! Can't fault anyone but yourself if the order isn't how you asked it to be! The cooks are welcoming and are Will help you with any questions you may have. But really why are you there?! The Blarney burger. Yes people say "oh I've had better burgers elsewhere." And yes I've had some fantastic burgers elsewhere myself. But for the price this is an amazing burger. But I don't want to use the price as an excuse. Every burger I've had at this place has been consistently cooked to my liking a juicy medium in the inside that perfect caramelization crustiness on the outside from being cooked on a flat griddle. I also enjoy how they butter there buns than toast them on the grill as well to add more flavor to this delicious burger. The Blake way also has a fantastic fish fry on Fridays. Their Ruben is fantastic as well. A pile a perfect pile of corn beef, sauerkraut, melted Swiss and Russian on dark rye. It really is a perfect alternative to the burger if you want to try something different! A few years ago they expanded and opened up a back dining room with a second bar. This made it so much easier to find a seat grab, a couple of drinks and wait for your name to be called over the PA to pick up your food. Calling ahead is just as easy as placing your order and going to pick it up. Sometimes there could be some confusion with do I just go straight to the the counter to pick up my food or do I wait in the line that people are ordering food in. But that line normally goes pretty fast anyways. The Blarney has a great happy hour between 5pm-8pm everyday with hot snacks and food laid out by the bar. There are also two full bar areas so if one is busy, you can usually head to the other one and grab a drink! All food is made to order. Kitchen closes at 12am every day, except for Fridays and Saturdays where the kitchen closes at 1am. The Blarney Stone is a neighborhood bar that was purchased in 1989 by Steve Dorsey and his late sister, Judy Dorsey. Their idea was simple: provide a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere that has a consistent schedule and food offering that was hearty and easily affordable. They believed if you could accomplish both, customers would return. Now I'm not a drinker, but after several "Best of Syracuse" awards, I started taking notice to what most on Tipperary Hill already know...they have pretty good food. As far as I'm concerned, they have THE BEST wings in CNY. They are perfect in every way...size, the way they're cooked, the buffalo sauce is absolutely delicious. That's basically what I always went for. But then I kept hearing about the Blarney Burger...how good it was, the value, etc. Finally had to try one and its as good as everyone makes it. Fresh made, well seasoned patty. Great value at only $4.50. They spice it up a bit sometimes with different toppings. Fries are good. Everything's good. It's a nice bar inside. It's been remodeled recently. All wood accents and stuff. Typical pub. Good service, very nice bartenders and kitchen staff. They are an all cash bar, so keep that in mind.
