We had a private experience (husband and I for anniversary) this place went the extra mile and set up a beautiful table, chairs, sparkling cider, chocolates, and red roses by a lovely little stream. For our wedding anniversary, we exchanged our original wedding vows again and shared such a lovely emotionally intimate moment that I will cherish for a lifetime. Our tour guide was so down to earth easy to talk to. She pointed out wildlife and took so many great photos for us! We rode through the woods, did a small creek crossing where the horses got a nice cold drink, and even took photos where we could see 3 places at once! I took my Granddaughter horseback riding today at Blanche Manor. We were given instructions on the do's and don'ts, then we began our ride. Luckily it was nice and shady thru the paths since it was quite hot outside. What a wonderful ride. We saw several deer and their fawns, a turtle in the pond and beautiful countryside. My dad found Blanche Manor after careful research online. He picked it based on how many positive reviews they received. We did the hour and fifteen minute trail ride with with Elizabeth as our guide. She was excellent! Very personable and accommodating. I rode a sure footed mare named Willow. There were five of us, and we all found our horses were responsive and confident unlike other stables to which we have been. In addition to all of the horses, there are two very nice cats and an Australian shepherd to pet. The staff was friendly and entertaining. It was so good we'll be back in a few days! read more

My family and I visited the ranch during our stay in North Georgia and had a great time horseback riding! The horses are taken well cared for and the guides were so nice and patient. They carefully select the right horse for each person which made us feel more comfortable. The horses know the course and follow each other very well, we saw deer along the way and went through a little river area to let the horses drink and towards the end we got to the top area where you can view mountains from the 3 different states. First time riding a horse and honestly I was terrified at first. Our guide Theo and Courtney paired me up with Bella, who was the sweetest horse ever. After giving us instructions for riding and controlling the horses we were on our way. We rode for about 15 minutes before we reached the best spot for a picture. We took our two grandsons, ages 6 and 7, for an hour and 15 minute ride at Blanche Manor. The 6 year old had never been on a trail ride before. Melanie was our Wrangler and she was outstanding. Visiting from the sunshine state, This was the first time I had ever been horseback riding so I was a bit nervous but Brooke our guide was so helpful and so outgoing we basically talked the whole ride and my nerves just went away. We have been to Blanche Manor a handful of times on our trips to the North Georgia Mountains. Just like our previous trips, this time did not disappoint! We arrived plenty early and visited with two of their cats. After they were ready for us, our kiddos were fitted with a helmet and we were led to our horses. Our guide was super sweet! After she went over all of the rules, guidelines, and how-to's we were off on our trail ride through the woods and even to a picturesque backdrop of three states at one point on our ride. They choose great horses for all of us, gave us instructions on how to control our horses. I'm a novice horseback rider, so my review here should be considered with that in mind. That being said... My husband and I decided to go horseback riding while visiting the Blue Ridge area. We chose Blanche Manor and were not disappointed. Kimberly was our guide, she was great! She was patient, considerate and kind. She gave clear instructions about what to do and not to do while on the trail. The trail itself was beautiful and my husband and I really enjoyed getting to walk the horses through the creek. At the look out point we stopped for a photo shoot! The view is beautiful and from this point you can see the mountains of Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Some new friends and I met up in north Georgia to hang for a few days in the mountains, and we arranged to go for a ride at Blanche Manor. Our guide/host, Courtney, was fantastic. She was a personable, great storytelling guide with an obvious talent for teaching. The horses were great; I've been riding quite a bit, and in a setting like this, where horses ride in single file fashion, it's not often you can steer a horse off the path. Not that my horse, Vegas, and I went far, but he was super responsive when I directed him around trees and away from the horse rear in front of him. Riding to a running creek and giving the horses a drink felt a little like Middle Earth. The ride was just long enough (about an hour) that my bad back felt okay afterwards. Courtney was sensitive to the fact that a couple of us old farts had back issues, so she made good on her promise to keep the ride slow. In short, it was a wonderful experience in a beautiful setting with a good teacher. I highly recommend it to anyone, even folks with little to no experience with horses. Our group had a few guys who were inexperienced, and everyone had a good time. When I'm back in the area, I'll definitely return! read more

My husband and I went up to Blue Ridge for my thirtieth birthday and decided to go horseback riding. I absolutely loved it, other than the people that we were with kept slowing us down. Blanche Manor does warn you on their website that you will go as fast as the weakest rider. Next time, we will definitely pay for a private ride so we will be able to go at a faster pace.
