Takes about 2hrs to check the entire lake out. 1 restaurant on water. I recommend just doing a half day you can explore the entire lake, tube for a hr or so and grab lunch. The next morning our guide came and picked us up we used their equipment which was all very good from the waders to their rods and reels. We were there after some rain but the water was clear and we figured we were going to catch some good fish. As we fished our guide kept telling us we were getting bites but we could tell it was rocks in the stream. We fished all day and lost maybe 3 fish and landed 3 fish. My wife hooked up on 3 good fish 1 broke her off on A log but the other 2 should have been netted but our guide slapped at them with the net and broke them off. I called the owner of the guide service to tell him how disappointed we were with our trip and asked if we could book another trip and have him Guide us. He told me he had talked to our guide and that fly fishing was not for us and he would notebook us again. Then he hung up the phone on me. I attempted to call him back and he would not answer. If you want to catch fish and have a good Trip I recommend you stay away from these guys, all they are after is your money .

The Blue Ridge Dam in Blue Ridge, Ga is worth driving to see. It is a short drive out of the town…read moreof Blue Ridge. The dam is 175 feet high and is 1,553 feet across the Taccoa River. It has one generating unit with a capacity for 13 megawatts. It provides electricity and flood control for the area. The dam was constructed between 1925 and 1930 by the Toccoa Electric Power Company near where Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina meet. When it was built, the Blue Ridge Dam was the largest earthen dam in the Southeast. It was accepted by the the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in 1939 It is an older dam with a beautiful dam building on the river side with information boards detailing the dam's workings and history. The reservoir lake that was formed by the dam is a great place to enjoy, as well. I recommend and will go back to have a picnic or just relax by the lake.
