I was absolutely terrified to go white water rafting but our guide, Holly, made that fear melt away! The main leader of our outing gathered us together & introduced us to our "family". She kept instructions engaging & funny while also stressing the importance of taking what she was saying seriously. Her presentation style was amazing! The bus ride to the river felt like forever with excitement to get there. Lots of nerves for this first timer. Holly helped us practice & gave clear instructions. She immediately made me feel encouraged & capable. When we needed correction she was firm & motivation. She was a complete goofball. I genuinely think we got the best guide & would want her every time. The river was so fun! I left wanting more & being in absolute awe. I need to do more & will absolutely be back. We enjoyed rafting with this company. One downside is that as a group of 8, I didn't realize till we arrived that we would need to be split up. That was a bummer and my fault for not asking. Also, they are extremely strict (the front desk person much moreso than the raft guides) about not being allowed to bring a water bottle. Be forewarned! It's tough to not have any water on a very hot day for several hours. read more

I went on the middle float and it was awesome!! My guide, Ash, was absolutely amazing! He was hilarious and was extremely knowledgeable. on cat's pajamas (the second to last rapid) I fell out of the raft and dislocated my shoulder, and they had 2 very awesome EMTs on the river and they slung it up and were trying to make me as comfortable as possible. If I could, I would TOTALLY do it all over again! read more

From the very first moment in the water we were maneuvering through rapids, laughing, paddling, and listening to Alycia giving us instructions so we did not swamp or get stuck on rocks, and telling stories of past experiences! From the time we arrived, the staff at AU were very welcoming and helpful. It is clearly a professionally run organization. Everything thing went smoothly. The river was wonderful. It made me feel young again. Moments on the water were peaceful. At the same time the river keeps the fun moving. I truly valued having a restaurant on site after we finished rafting. While some in our group needed more time to enjoy a hot shower and freshen up after the river, others were able to order food and relax during the transition time. I am already looking for another time on my calendar to get back on the Ocoee with AU!!! read more

This place is super easy to book and has a great deal on Yelp! We showed up a few minutes early and checked in inside, then they do an introduction and put you with your raft guides. Our guide was so cool-- her name was Alysha , and she was very funny and kept us safe the whole time ! There was one crazy part when we were spinning like crazy through the rapids and she literally did a handstand in the back of the raft -- it was wild. We have rafted the Ocoee River several times over the years and always book with Adventures Unlimited! But this most recent time with Trey as our guide felt pretty special and definitely was a fresh take on a familiar experience. There was just something about Trey's presence which made it clear our trip was not destined to be business as usual. His instructions were hands down the best we've witnessed, being delivered with an impressive economy of words that was both precise (but effective) and flavored with his epic dry humor. It was also a little uncanny how he was able to just intuit our group's comfort level, relative capabilities, and what we were hoping to get out of the day. The whole experience felt tailored to our interests but with very little explicit communication from us. It was genuinely thrilling in the sense that we did some maneuvers we had never attempted in past trips but while also feeling well prepared for each obstacle and thus incredibly safe too. His calm confidence is clearly hard earned through years of experience and we found out later he has been rafting this specific river for like 15 years and that he considers it his personal favorite. I definitely believe that as Trey was a wealth of knowledge about the history and present day operational aspects of the river too which added an unexpected learning dimension to the trip. Our exceptional experience with Trey is just one example of many why we keep rebooking with Adventures Unlimited. read more

The introductions were clear and quick and easy to understand. The ship was filled with useful equipment for rafting and for regular merchandise. When getting ready, we got into a line and grabbed our gear quickly and suited up. Once off the bus at our launch spot, we were given clear instructions about motions and directions our instructor would give. Other than that part of the rafting, our instructor, Cole, was so focused and very patient with us. He also let us flip the boat! The course itself was amazing and was equal parts thrilling and fun. Its my first time doing rafting ,had a very good experience with adventures unlimited.They did make my first experience great and fun with a good coach Jackob .who took the experience to next level with good instructions all the way through the 2hr rafting made the experience,fun filled with his energy . This place is the best. There are other rafting outfitters in the area, but this one has everything. A great bar and grill, live music in the evenings, camping, cabins and the best guides. Jimmy Johnson was our guide and he was awesome. He let us know he could make our ride as wild or mild as we wanted. We opted for wild, but that didn't mean dangerous Jimmy had us trained and navigated so the river did most of the hard work. He still had us doing 180's, bouncing off rocks and riding class IV rapids. The scenery was beautiful, our guide had so many interesting stories about the area. Highly recommend this trip and you will find it something you'll want to do again and again. read more

So much FUN! We rafted the middle Ocoee, with Paul K as our guide. Paul K knew the river like the back of his hand and guided us flawlessly through some exciting rapids. From start to finish he was on his game and made the experience something our group of 6 will remember for a lifetime. Everything was well coordinate and staff made it all very easy...booking, scheduling, etc. Lunch was delicious, pictures were awesome and our guide, Alycia, was a rock star!
