Best weekend we've had in a long time! We stayed in one the lodge rooms with a few friends for the weekend. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were impressed with the attention to detail and amenities- and were especially excited to find everything needed to make coffee (which we forgot to pack). Loved having the fire pit outside too. We had SO much fun rafting with Caleb. He was super knowledgeable and experienced. We appreciated his patience with us because we weren't always great at following instructions. :) We really wished we had booked the longer trip. We will definitely be back soon to add the upper river trip. read more

I enjoyed every second of the rafting adventure! My friend group of 17 drove from ATL, GA to raft with Big Foot. We all had such an amazing time. As someone who has never done it before and is super afraid of water, I never thought I would have enjoyed it this much. The crew was so genuine and and accommodating to us. The gear and equipment were new and the facility/ changing area was spotless. Our guide was Max! Full of energy and a true joy to be around. He shared his love of the river with our boat and really understood everything about the river well which made me feel very safe and comfortable. Max was one of the best guides I've ever had! I definitely recommend Big foot rafting! I had a very pleasant experience overall. The first thing I noticed upon my arrival was how clean the facilities were. Since we arrived early, we played corn hole and ping pong to help us pass time. The bus left promptly at our scheduled time of 1:30 PM. Max, our raft instructor, was a special part of our experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the river and did a terrific job at making everyone on the raft feel comfortable, safe, and included. At the same time, his high energy was contagious and added to how much fun we had! He allowed us to swap positions amongst ourselves during calm parts of the river. He explained that different sections of the raft provide different riding experiences. He positioned the raft so that everyone could get splashed at least a few times throughout the trip. He also made any anxious members of our group feel calm and reassured. We had a group member fall out of the raft at one point, but due to the clear safety protocol instructions that Max gave before we got in the water, we were able to recover them with ease. We were prepared for every scenario and rapid, thanks to Max! All of the staff at Bigfoot seemed to love what they do. I could sense their genuine love of the river and commitment to making the customer rafting experience as pleasant as possible. This place doesn't cut corners!! read more

Had a grand trip with a group of friends! Staff is super friendly and helpful! There is a nice little bar located near the gift shop. Had a blast white river rafting with them! It was our first time going and it's something worth doing during your stay! Jerry took us and taught us all we needed to know going out into the rafting experience! The fireflies go crazy at night giving you a nice light show while you gather around the fire pit! The rooms were nice and had a cabin feel to it. We stayed in yowie cabin. Camped here for a weekend, great amenities, nice bathroom, very clean. We had a little pavilion to stay under with access to pretty much anything you could need camping. We also went on a rafting expedition with them and our guide Trevor was amazing. He took great care of us and was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. He's also a great teacher and overall just a nice and funny guy. 10/10 would do again. read more

There's quite a few other white water guide services in the area but do yourself & your party a favor & book with Bigfoot. Their guides are all top notch & friendly. We had a party of 5 that included two 12 year old girls who were very nervous. Our guide (Warner) was extra attentive to them & from the start set them both at ease. By the end of the trip they both wanted to do it again. We also booked a cabin on site (Sasquatch) that was perfect for us. It was really nice to see the girls put down their phones & play ping pong, frisbee golf & roam the property. We'll definitely be back. read more

Let me start off by saying that if you need to sign three pages of waivers to do something you probably shouldn't do it. Your basically giving up any avenues of compensation for negligence. I had gone rafting with this company about a month ago. 8/14 I was verbally told that they have plenty of experience going down the river with less than capable people. I would fall under that category since I have a bad leg. and I don't know how to swim. Just to make a long story short I was paired with a guide who was a subcontractor so he wasn't their employee. He wanted to see what we were capable of so we approached the White water sideways. he told us to lean in which we did and then the next thing I know I'm in the water with the two other people on the side of the boat that first approached the white water. at this point I did not have any major concerns I was going to just sit up and get back into the boat as my foot was attached with that foot cup thing. unfortunately the guy sitting across from me was ejected on to me and he's 6'4 and 275. it broke my right leg. it was a complete break. the guide did not have a splint he used a couple of thin twigs the size of a straw and some twine to make believe splint my leg. a guyide should have a proper medical kit for the environment that he's in. so I am looking at $100,000 worth of medical bills and not being able to work for 4 to 6 months not because something went wrong and we hit a rock the wrong way but because the guide wanted to see what we were capable of and purposely created an event to where I got injured and I have no legal recourse other than to leave this review. if you have to sign three pages worth of waivers think twice. also the find state of Tennessee is made it practically impossible to sue a rafting company because it is a major source of revenue for the tourism. just be aware read more

Super great place to go rafting. The staff were super duper friendly and very fun. They gave us lots of smiles. I couldn't go rafting at the time, but there was plenty to do while waiting, including frisbee golf and table tennis. Nice shaded area with an outlet to charge. Very great staff. They all smiled, laughed and made feel welcome. Family told me how the staff made the adventure lots of fun. Kept my family safe on the rapids.Stood out from any white water rafting I've ever been to. I genuinely was happy from when we first arrived until we left. We have rafted as a family for the past three years and this was our first year with Bigfoot Outfitters as they are a new company. We booked two trips with them and we had the time of our lives. There are a lot of rafting companies in the area to choose from but Bigfoot is family friendly. You will not have to worry about your family's safety or the experience you will have. Trevor takes his business seriously and wants to make sure that everyone has a great time. He is also friendly and very helpful. Our raft guide was Caleb and we have rafted with him four times over the years. I request Caleb because of his knowledge, experience and outgoing, friendly demeanor. Caleb is very safety conscious, he knows what is going on in the raft as well as the river. There can be a lot of traffic on the river at times and I appreciate his attentiveness to the details because it allows for us to just relax and enjoy our time as a family. My husband and his friends went whitewater rafting with Bigfoot Outfitters and couldn't say enough about their epic journey down the river! Fortunately, I'm pregnant so I couldn't go, but I was able to enjoy watching them take on the rapids at a few lookout points from where they put in. We also stayed the night with Bigfoot in one of their group cabins. The cabins were beautiful on the inside and the bunk bed was comfortable. Though you do have to bring your own bedding, which I personally prefer anyways, it did have A/C which was really comfortable for sleeping at night. The outfitting post also has really clean and well designed bathrooms convenient for showering after rafting or during your stay. We also loved the fact that they had a communal grilling area with picnic tables which enabled us to have a real sense of community with the other rafters staying overnight as well. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this is outfitter-oh wait-there is also a life size Big Foot! Seriously, what a warm welcome! Sleep well my friends! read more
