We were even given fresh complimentary eggs! They have a store where you can buy some of their products as well. Definitely book a tour with them if you're going to be in the area. They let you take one on one time with the goats, pigs, and sheep. The highland cows are great too and they give you plenty of treats to feed the animals. What a dream trip to the country!…read more Firstly - Laurie and David are amazing hosts. We so enjoyed talking to them and hearing about how they got all their sweet, friendly animals. The space we stayed in was a small apartment over the garage, and it was good for three women and a 7 month old baby. It was clean and well appointed! We got to interact with goats, pigs, mini horses, alpacas, dogs, cats, highland cows, chickens, and sheep.. it was truly magical to watch the baby interact with all the animals! They were in our backyard, and insanely quiet. I assumed the animals would be heard at all hours, but I didn't hear them once! The only downsides were there wasn't AC in our 1 bedroom apartment, just one window unit in the kitchen. I'm low maintenance except when it comes to getting too hot, so no AC in the bedroom made me nervous. Thankfully they have ceiling fans in every room so we just cranked them up and left the bedroom door open and were comfortable even in the upper 80s. Just something to note if you're sensitive to heat like I am We loved our trip so much that we're planning to come back soon! Thanks again for a wonderful stay with such gentle and sweet animals!

Today was raining lightly on and off. So we decoded to give this a shot for some animal feeding…read more Boy are we glad we did. This is as close as you can get to tame/wild animals that we have every found. Now with the rain you would think it would not be good to do. However not alot of people came so we had it almost to ourselves. Just were a water resistant jacket and good foot wear and your good to go. The paths inside are gravel and only on a few areas was the dirt exposed on the main trails. Inside the pens is a different story of course because the animals are in there. We were able to feed them by hand of either pellets and corn or slices of apples. Whole apples were like 50 cents a piece and a small cup of feed was 2.50. Very cheap in my opinion for how much feeding you can do with one cup. We started with one small cup (which you get to keep plastic cup as souvenir) and 5 apples. They gave us a bag for the apples so you don't have to hold in your hand loose. My wide was floored at how much fun she had feeding all the animals and so was I. We loved it and will be back. The have the following animals there: large bunnies, goats, ostriches, reindeer, fallow deer, elk, highland cows, small ponies, donkeys, pigs, pheasant, camels, and so much more. A must go for us.

All the horses had beautiful horns and painted hair (like pastel chalk that does not hurt them). All animals are under the most wonderful care and we are given instructions on how to approach them and observe them. Amongst many things we saw a baby chick being hatched, baby bunnies, adult bunnies, donkeys, sheep's, horses, pigs, pony's, goats, doves, chickens, roosters, chicks and of course UNICORNS! Staff was out of this world helpful!! So sweet and kind. It was a hot day and they let my little nephew play in the clean water they had to cool off! We even got a tractor ride! They have a beautiful tree swing and so many cute picture spots! Pack a picnic (but be careful not to throw any food on the ground the animals each have specific diets and we wouldn't want them to eat anything that could hurt their stomachs). Also there is hand sanitizer but I would suggest bringing some soap and water if you want to wash your hands. Just ask for the best place to do that! They have a pretty Montessori style here. You're given help in approaching the animals and donkeys sheep and goats are sitting all around and you can walk around and pet them. There are brushes set aside for you to brush them too!! The more attention specific animals like the bigger bunnies were handled with the wonderful caregivers! Allowing people to hold the more socialized animals even! Also the unicorns were beautiful with flower leis and gorgeous horns! Absolutely a must to do for any birthday, field trip, or just a way to get kids used to animals in a wonderfully comfortable setting.

They were great with the kids and did a fantastic job entertaining and educating the kids on the farm animals. Speaking of farm animals, they had a variety! They had horses, donkeys, bunnies (including big ones), goats, pigs, chickens, and so much more. The party was about two hours and the team at The Art Barn kept everyone busy. The activities were interactive. We got to pet and brush the farm animals, ride a horse, paint, go on a hayride and explore the farm. The party area is under a big tree, so it's cool and shaded. There were 6 picnic tables which was more than enough for our party. Two Porta Potties are available and they were cleaned prior to the start of the party. They were the cleanest porta potties I have ever used! They also had a hand cleaning station equipped with wipes and hand sanitizer. The Art Barn is a great place for parties, field trips, etc! I highly recommend checking it out.
