We came yesterday and I genuinely can't stop thinking about how special it was. I called last minute in the afternoon after my little one woke up from his nap, not really expecting much -- but they fit us in that same day. From the moment we arrived, Ray made us feel so welcome. He had the horse ready for us, walked us through everything, and was so patient and attentive making sure my little one felt safe and comfortable the whole ride. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does. What we didn't expect was everything that came after. We got to explore the petting zoo, meet the farm animals, and then a staff member came over and introduced us to a baby goat that was only a few days old, my little one's face was absolutely priceless. And then the moment that made this visit truly unforgettable, while my son was laughing away on the horse shaped tire swing, I glanced over and noticed a wobbly little goat behind us. Turns out we were witnessing a mama goat giving birth right there in front of us. Completely unplanned, totally magical. My little one got a nature lesson he'll probably never forget. This place has the most wonderful energy and the staff clearly care deeply about both the animals and their guests. We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend! read more

This place was so awesome. I 100% recommend checking them out if you're visiting BLue Ridge. Hunter, Emily, and Mandie were so friendly and made the experience so enjoyable. We got there early and got to pet the goats and feed them. There were chickens, ducks, and bunnies. Emily and Hunter had their cute dogs there who were fun to play with. I've been riding Western and English for decades. My son (13) my sister, and her son (12) are complete beginners. Picked this place because it was well reviewed and close to where we were staying in Blue Ridge. Was greeted by Helana when we arrived, who has a huge heart for animals and we clicked right away. I was careful to assess the condition of the horses and can say with confidence they are well-fed, healthy, and taken care of with no signs of over use or abuse from their head to their hooves. If there is any doubt, consider this--the owners horse is 27yrs old and going strong. The horses are safe for young and inexperienced riders, and the worst one did was stop and try to snack on leaves along the trail. There is a fair amount of up and downs, but that's just the terrain. Not one horse slipped even a step the whole hour. However if someone was very scared or little, I'm sure they would gladly do anything to make them comfortable, like walk through the pastures. They give lessons as well, so their horses are truly well-versed in inexperienced riders. If you have not been on a trail ride, know that the stable will get the horse completely ready for you to step into the saddle and go, and take care of everything once you step off. Hunter was the best guide I could ask for, and was safe and very attentive to all of us while seeming to not have a care in the world and talking about the area. He was here to in Blue Ridge and knows every back road and mountain trail,--including hidden waterfalls and places only locals know about, so ask for his recommendations. On top of their beautiful trail rides, there's a petting zoo area that you can hang out in as long as you want. They have goats and their babies, two donkeys, and when we were there, baby ducks! You can buy a bag of their feed for $1 and you will be very popular. But I didn't. I just went in and pet everybody, and they were happy to get some good back. As a trail guide myself and someone cautious around horses and over protective of their family, I would absolutely recommend this operation and will definitely be back if we are on the area again. read more

Nice trail ride and it was cool walking the horses through the creek... The staff was very sweet, but the organization was pretty poor and it took multiple times for the young lady to assign us to our horses, changing the horses multiple times... For a one hour ride, we ended up not starting the ride until 3:21pm and headed back and got back to the stable off the horse at 3:46.... Again, it was a nice ride, but very, very, very short, especially when you are paying to actually ride the horse for an hour. read more

While on vacay I took my 10 and 16yr old to experience horse back riding. According to my 10yr old this was the highlight of the trip. He was the youngest one of the group and was behind the instructor the whole time. They did the 1hr tour and he learned how to handle a horse. We enjoyed a nice one hour trail ride with our guide Andrea. It was a very pretty trail through the woods with lots of varying terrain and creek crossings. The horses were calm and well mannered - easy for our novice group with kids. The zip line course was closed for maintenance, but we were only planning to ride horses anyhow. We were very excited to go horseback riding while visiting Blue Ridge. Unfortunately, we started having symptoms of COVID in the middle of the night. I called to cancel and I am still being charged a $40 saddle fee (that my bank THANK GOD is in process of rejecting). I would understand in a non-COVID related situation but this is ridiculous. I am not paying a company $40 to ensure their employees don't get sick from me. I own a successful small business myself and I understand every dollar counts but common sense still allows me to provide the best customer service and lose a couple dollars here and there to allow a potential customer to feel respected. We are returning in a couple months with a large portion of our family but we will be taking our business to a different horseback riding provider in the area. The girl on the phone was also snarky when I initially booked the appointment and when I cancelled this morning. Sorry that my illness didn't provide symptoms within your 24 hour period of cancellation. Thanks for trying to charge me $40 to keep your staff healthy and unexposed to potential sickness. I live in the South myself and promise this is not the Southern Charm or Hospitality I am used to around here. read more

My husband and I decided to try this out in our last day here in the mountains. It was a little tricky to find but if you follow Waze you will find them. Both of us have not been horseback riding in quite awhile and they made this a great experience. The trail goes up in the woods and winds around. The leaves were changing and there were some good lookout points. I rode on Barbie and my husband rode on Mike. Both horses were fabulous. Soooo this review is tricky. Our experience here started out SO incredibly terribly I expected to leave the worst review ever. But it improved so I added a star but read on for why. We traveled from out of state with our daughters who all ride back in texas and we discussed with the girl who took our reservation and said we should book a private so we could do a trail rode with plenty of trotting and cantering as our riding experience allows. When we showed up we were told that because of recent rain nobody could go on the mountain, okay, that's fine but then the girl said all we could do was a pasture ride in the hot sun down the driveway and around in the pasture and then the next pasture and back. Sounded awful but we had already driven out there and the girls wanted to ride so we said okay. Then we meet Hunter, who is going to be our trail guide. He complains that he's now running late and then he pushes and shoves the horses in such an ugly way that I almost called it all off right then and there. But we get on our horses and after a few more completely rude and inappropriate comments from hunter we start on our ride. When we get down the driveway into the first pasture we ask if this was a place we could do a little trotting here and Hunter says OH No we are NOT trotting this isn't a trotting trip. We said well we specifically booked a private ride with trotting and discussed it when we were booking it weeks ago and when we confirmed and just a few minutes ago we also reconfirmed we could at least trot and canter out here on our pasture ride. He argued with us and then said he would just shut up. It was so uncomfortable and awful for us and our girls I almost stopped again, but then I just kept going hoping it would be worth our time, and it got better and better. So Hunter maybe decided he was being a complete unprofessional a&$hole and changed his attitude and we had a beautiful fantastic ride with lots of trotting and cantering and creek riding and shade trees and Mountain Views and our girls loved it and we loved it. To his credit, when I attempted to tip Hunter at the end of the ride, he refused to accept it and said he had been a jerk and apologized. I accepted his apology BUT I cannot recommend this place without a HUGE caveat regarding the abysmal customer service skills. The ride was lovely. I can only imagine how fantastic the mountain ride would be. But the service at this place will be its downfall. Period. Unless they learn from their mistakes and educate customers upfront about what to expect and what is weather contingent (I was told this was "common sense" that after a few days of rain we couldn't do a trail ride. Anyhow, great potential and my kids at least had fun and learned a great lesson on how never to treat customers or run a business. read more

We had a great one hour ride with our guide Shannon. He first gave us simple easy to follow instructions, which was really good since it was my wife's first time riding. The trail was very scenic and serene. We even got comfortable enough that Shannon let us get the horses up to a trot. We came as a group of four adults and five kids (ranging from 4 years to 11 years of age). The three older kids were able to go horseback riding on the trail while the younger ones rode on ponies around the main area. Our trail guide was Andrea and she was absolutely fantastic with our older kids! It was the first time for two of them to ever be on a horse and she was patient and kind the whole way. This place is absolutely amazing!! I have been Horse Riding before, but here they take you down wonderful scenery. The ride is so peaceful as you make your way up a mountain. You can relax in perfect tranquility and take in the sights and sounds as you ride calm horses which I should add are very calm and behave very well around humans (I'm not a professional, so I apologize if I sound arrogant) It really makes you forget about the world you live in. It is stress free and the workers take good care of you. We had a wonderful young girl named Liliana who guided us through untouched beautiful landscape. We had a tremendous time taking in the views and riding the horses. Also not to mention they have Zip lining (though we didn't do this). I imagine it takes you through vast scapes that provide a Surreal aerial view of the land. If you are ever up in Blue Ridge Mountains Georgia, I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND doing this you will not be disappointed!!! We had an AMAZING TIME, I'm SURE you will too!! read more
