Beyond happy with my experience at Georgia Frontiers. Found the perfect fall day to try the 1-hour ride with my date. Our guide was so helpful and knowledgeable with all the questions we had about the horses. Very conveniently located close to the suburbs, yet you feel like you're hours away from the city.

They have such beautiful horses (goose)!

Great time!! The horses were beautiful!!! Trail was great!! Definitely going back!! Great time with cash the horse I rode.

My son and so had an incredible time riding with Georgia Frontiers. They have great horses, terrific guides, and beautiful trails. We plan to make it a regular excursion and can't wait to go back!

A phenomenal experience for both beginners and experienced riders! The trails are true trail riding trails with beautiful foliage, winding streams, hills, water crossings and opportunities to pick up the pace at the comfort of the least experienced rider. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the owner was quite welcoming! They take great care of their horses and have a fabulous sense of humor with their website. I will definitely be returning!

My wife had several hectic weeks and was in the need of break so for her birthday I decided to take her horseback riding over the weekend. I researched numerous facilities and Great Frontiers seemed to offer the best packages, location and trails. Little did I know now how good this was until we arrived on Saturday morning. The location was easily found through Google Maps; tucked away in the foothills Canton, Georgia. The gravel road led us to the stables where several beautiful horses were playing while waiting for the next group of riders. We were greeted by the smiles of Roger and Jody, where they instructed us on the "mountains of paperwork" as humorously described on their website - really one page of acknowledgement and release material and what NOT to bring on the ride. We were told that sunglasses, keys and phones were not advised as they could easily be dislodged during the ride. My wife and I handed over our keys, sunglasses and phone (I kept my phone in the hopes of taking some pictures on the trail - bad idea). We were then given the option of wearing a helmet - which we both elected to do and I recommend. The hemets were very usefull when small branches or low hanging trees were encountered during the ride. Before embarking, we were given thorough riding and mounting instructions prior to be introduced to our horses. My wife had Sheba, a beautiful mare and I rode Bullit, a blue and brown eyed horse - both with great personalities. Roger and Jody filled us with knowledge and Jody led us out on a 2 hour trail ride. The scenery was excellent and the trails were an amazing twist and turn of hills and streams. Now; about my phone - never had a chance to whip it out to take pictures, instead it remained in my pocket and conveniently cycled through multiple screens - texting and and calling at random until the phone overheated and shut down. So, with that said - phones (or anything else for that matter) should stay off the trial. Bringing anything would be a mistake as the ride will easily cause anything to be worked out of your pockets, only to drop without warning somewhere on the trail. The ride was so therapeutic, it was easy to forget that we were on the outskirts of Canton. Our horses galloped and trotted through the shaded woods with ease except for Bullit. No, he did nothing wrong; instead, I lacked the discipline to stop him from snacking during the ride. Let's face it, horses are very smart and Bullit knew I was a sucker. Jody instructed me to stop him from eating as he was getting in the habit of grabbing a mouthful and galloping to catch up - very cute though. Our ride was worth every penny and completely made my wife's mind at ease. We strolled back to the stables where Roger greeted us and helped us dismount the horses so they could take a well earned break. My wife and I stuck around for a little to take pictures of the horses and enjoy some great conversation with Roger and Jody. I asked Roger about the trail guides and found out that each guide is a volunteer because of their love for horses. Knowing this, I tipped Jody for her professionalism and hard work accompanied with a genuine "Thank you". My wife and I fell in love with Great Frontiers, the scenery, horses and the staff - we will now now make this a part of our monthly routine - substituting an incredible horseback ride for a dinner out. I cannot recommend Great Frontiers enough or efficiently capture the experience in words, you have to go out and hit the trails yourself.

This was a great experience for not a lot of money. Easily the most fun I've had on a trail ride, too. This was the first time I've ridden a horse at a full gallop, and we saw some beautiful scenery along the way. The guide, and the horses were super-friendly, too! I don't think you could do better an hour outside of Atlanta for only $30 an hour. I wanted to take my girlfriend horseback riding as she'd never been, and... as most girls do... thinks horses are adorable. After finding very little that looked interesting on Yelp, I googled to find "Georgia Frontiers." They seemed close, friendly, and well priced at $30 each per hour. I called Robbie and booked an appointment with *zero* hassle for the next Saturday afternoon. The directions were easy to follow, and we arrived about 30 minutes early to fill out safety waivers and meet Robbie and the horses. The other couple scheduled to ride with us was running late, so we rode out with just the 3 of us right on time. Robbie was very charming and a lot of fun. He's been riding since he was a little boy, and had some great instruction to give. We started slow to make sure that everybody knew what they were doing, and was comfortable on the horse. Pretty quickly, though Robbie asked us if we wanted to speed it up a little! We did a light trot for a bit and then we let the horses haul a## at a full gallop which was a little scary but VERY fun. We slowed it back down for most of the ride, but we let the horses sprint a few more times before the end of our 1 hour ride. Along the way, Robbie was happy to educate us about horses and riding and tell us his story, but he was equally happy to stay quiet and let us enjoy the trail. At the end of the hour, (which was actually closer to an hour and a half) we made it back to the stable where the next batch of people were waiting. I paid him the $60 plus a big tip for a great time, and my girlfriend and I made the hour drive back to Midtown Atlanta. It was a great experience, and a hell of an ab workout!

Just went today and was very pleased from beginning to end. They are VERY customer service oriented but make no mistake, the horses health and your safety are the priority. It gets hot in Georgia and the horses work hard. The staff was very friendly and took the time to make sure that we knew what to do and expect. The trail itself is beautiful with streams, steep hills and flat grasslands for a good fast trot. I would easily recommend and will be returning!

Roger and his volunteers were incredible! My boyfriend and I were in town for just the weekend and they were able to squeeze us in a day out for an individual ride with the best guide, Maureen, and such incredible horses. They were clearly well taken care of and the staff was so kind letting us as animal lovers stay for a bit after to visit and pet the rest of the stable. We had a great mix of walking, trotting, and cantering which kept us energized while always feeling safe and within control. Also, their land is gorgeous as you go up and down hills, through rivers, and open paths. This will become a must-do for us every time we come back to Atlanta!

What a wonderful place to see. This is a great place to spend a day with your family friends and God's most beautiful creatures. The owner Roger is a super cool guy and a real kind Cowboy. The horses are kind and gorgeous. The Trail Guide's seem to truly love every minute and it shows this is a wonderful environment to be a part of nature and enjoy Horses. Roger the owner even has rooster that is nice! I came here for the first time ten years ago and will never stop, my girls love it!!

We got to explore the petting zoo, meet the farm animals, and then a staff member came over and introduced us to a baby goat that was only a few days old, my little one's face was absolutely priceless. And then the moment that made this visit truly unforgettable, while my son was laughing away on the horse shaped tire swing, I glanced over and noticed a wobbly little goat behind us. Turns out we were witnessing a mama goat giving birth right there in front of us. Completely unplanned, totally magical. My little one got a nature lesson he'll probably never forget. My lessons have also been very good as well. Each lesson I rode the full duration and was not shorted at all. My only complaint is that there is no dressage arena(or arena emptied of jumps). This means that working on dressage can be difficult since you can't work in the full size of a dressage arena. There are also no letters so for those who are just learning dressage this can make things more difficult.
