I just loved it! JD and his little helper were wonderful. They were so nice, informative and just made you feel comfortable during the whole experience. It was my boyfriend's first time riding so he was kind of nervous, but JD kept talking to him and making sure he was ok. Not only can you tell that JD cares about his business, but you can also tell that he cares for his horses. ( They have a good but funny relationship lol) The views are also amazing. JD is simply amazing at what he does. I wanted to surprise my fiancé with a horseback ride as a birthday gift so I called JD to see if he had availability on such short notice. He was very professional and was able accommodate me. This was our first horseback ride so we were a little nervous upon arriving. JD and David immediately put our minds at ease with their warm and professional demeanor (they both have great energy). We took a few laps around the practice area so we could get acquainted with our horses (Storm and Breezy). Once we aced that, we were off to the trail!! The trail was so beautiful and peaceful, with great areas for photo ops!! (By the way, JD took our pictures with my fiancé's iPhone and no kidding, they came out looking like they were professionally done!) Well worth the money, an amazing time with some amazing horses and with JD and David, who you can tell both love what they do! My husband and I had an amazing experience with the horses! We went on a beautiful scenic trail in the middle of the woods. The whole experience was peaceful and relaxing. This was a great way to celebrate my husband's birthday! That staff was also very helpful and friendly as we learned how to ride the trails and ride the horses. Jd's Horse Ranch is like country living in the city. When you first arrive, you are greeted by Jd. He then pairs you with one of his sweet horses, and once on, gives thorough instructions so you feel safe throughout the ride.. especially as a beginner. Along the ride, you will notice that JD is quite the comedian which makes the entire experience worthwhile alongside the breathtaking views. This was a great experience for us! The ranch is tucked away locally in College Park and was easy enough to find. It's available all year round and appointment availability is seven days a week. I happened to purchase a Groupon for couples but prices are still reasonable for the service regardless. JD was very professional when responding to my call and texts. He was also very accommodating as far as scheduling an appointment with us. He allowed us to get familiar with the horses and vice versa, and was very knowledgeable about them too. The horses were very well-mannered. The trail was about an hour long and we had a couple opportunities to stop for memorable pictures along the way. I highly recommend using his services.
