Another adventure for us and another satisfying outing, this time to the Blacksone Kitchen Corona. It is a modern fusion of American & Latin America cuisine. It was a hard decision for me to choose between the Short rib omelette, Benedict flight, or Chilaquiles. In the end, I went with chilaquiles with pork belly and it was definitely a winner. My friend ordered the spaghetti pancakes with bacon. It was served in a bowl, a total surprise to both of us. Lots of fruits topped with a mint. I felt a good vibe when I first walked in. Service was great. Food is tasty. As expected, they have a constant stream of customers coming in. This place is keeper.
Overall, our dining experience was incredible. We enjoyed everything from our appetizer to our entrées and they were big portions. You will not leave feeling hungry. Our server he was young. I'm guessing probably just started. He wasn't a five star server, but he was definitely trying. I don't know if it was because it was just a little busy so it might've been overwhelming, but I had to ask for multiple things that should've been brought with our meals even so had the manager, bring me over a steak knife for my lobster as cutting it with a butter knife was just not gonna do it. The owner super sweet, very kind and very involved with his floor and staff he gives off a Bugzy Malone, kind of vibe we were here for a girls trip for my birthday. I'm not sure if they do anything for birthdays, but it was not celebrated at our time of dining/ or table. I truly enjoyed the sashimi appetizer the glaze was superb and if I ever find myself back in the area, I will definitely be heading up this restaurant again
Dinner this evening was great! Outside patio dining, dog friendly was a huge plus! I had the scallops with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The scallops were cooked nicely and seasoned well. The sauce that accompanied the scallops was fantastic! The asparagus was good, the mashed potatoes were okay. We also had the carne asada and shrimp, with rice and beans. Both the shrimp and carne asada were good, the rice and beans were okay. The service was good, our server was very helpful in recommending favorites. I was disappointed that they did not have blended mixed drinks. Parking is adjacent to the restaurant.
Blackstone really surprised me... initially we thought it was a take on an American food but we were led to a completely different experience. The Hispanic flair of this restaurant makes me excited to go back and experience more. The Vibe: of the restaurant is rustic, with foliage, wonderful decor, great lighting and art on the wall. They set a wonderful tone for a nice evening out with family or a nice date. Plenty of seating and even some just at the bar if you're in for a quick drink. The service: Jesus was our host and honestly we were very grateful for him. He brought in good suggestions, we let him know what we were debating on and he narrowed it out for us. He was wonderful in simple conversation checked in often and made sure we enjoyed everything. You would get 5 stars on his service alone. The food: There was not one dish we did not like from the appetizers, to the sauces that came with the chips, THE MOLE!!! I had the Branzino with the salad and it was amazing, the crispy skin, the seasoning was just on point. My Wife got the file braised short ribs and she does not usually finish her food and she cleaned her plate. She shared some with me and it was perfect!! We also got a side of mushrooms and they were amazing. My mother in law got the chicken Belagio, and she loved it. I had a taste of hers as well and the chicken was really good and tender even when fried. We usually don't get dessert when we get appetizers but we had to give it a go. The tres leches was pretty delicious, a little dry in parts but I did enjoy it. Overall Blackstone was a wonderful experience, when you have great service and a wonderful play on flavors you get the CJAC
Food is delicious. I ordered the mascarpone French toast and steak and eggs for breakfast! The steak and eggs were amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly. The mascarpone pancakes were absolutely delicious. I loved every bite of my breakfast today! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. The food was excellent, but it felt a little overpriced for the portion sizes. We'd definitely come back, just maybe not as often because of the cost. Service was nice! They were friendly.
Blackstone is right down the road from my parents house, they have been multiple times and have enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner here - they said it's one of their favorite places to dine at. I had breakfast with them this weekend and it was an excellent meal! The decor is dark and modern, the seating is super comfy, and the service was fast and friendly. I had the Benedict Flight and it was delicious! I finished the Jalapeno, spinach, & tomato benedict, and only ate half of the other two so I could bring them home to my husband. Chipotle with bacon and ham was yummy, but my favorite was Tomatillo, pork belly, and avocado, SO freaking good! The potatoes on the side were crispy and seasoned to perfection. He reheated it all the next day for breakfast and said it was outstanding. My parents got their apple empanadas, I don't like cooked apples so it wasn't my jam, but they loved them. They also had the Meat Lover's Omelette and Ribeye Sandwich with truffle fries. All I tried were the fries and they were very good. They both loved their meals and I could tell the ribeye sandwich was super tender, my stepmom bit right through it with no issue, she took half home cause it was a very large sandwich. Total after tip was $150, which also included a Bloody Mary, iced tea, and Arnold Palmer. It's pricey, but well worth it for how good it was. I hope we eat here again when I visit them!
Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, and wonderful service! My friends ordered the lemon chicken and tacos, and I got to try a little of each--wow! Everything was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. I'm already excited to come back and try more! Highly recommend
You walk into blackout shades dark moody super chill vibes. The decor is very modern and the bar is the best feature of the restaurant...with the best bartenders! Alfonso gave us impeccable service - thank you Alfonso! The food was very delicious and perfectly seasoned. The drinks were refreshing to beat the pounding heat outside. The Benedict Flight and Biscuits & Gravy were very so good...definitely memorable. Loved this place...Highly recommended and will be back for sure!
Went to this spot yesterday for a double date. This place was absolutely amazing. Atmosphere 10/10 Lets get started with the amazing atmosphere. The decor and ambiance was very soothing and modern. The place was clean and organized. Definitely a great spot for a date. Food 9/10 Me and my girlfriend got the Apple empanadas and the chefs platter. The other party ordered a mole brisket dish and something that had gravy which I don't remember. The Apple empanadas was so good. It was like eating an hot apple pie with cinnamon on top and adding this milky sauce on top which melts in your mouth. So good! I loved the chefs platter which was $70 and it was enough for 2-3 people. The chefs platter contained chicken, steak, juicy plantain, chilaquiles, and homestyle potatoes. This dish was absolutely amazing and everything tasted great. Service 8/10 The service was good. Our waiter was always checking in on us and getting everything we needed in a timely matter. I would just recommend extra smiles haha.
Ooof. This made me sad. You can unfortunately cook better food overall at home. The waffle? Dry. You can tell they use pancake batter for it. The slam, good serving but those potatoes are poorly cooked. The meat are just eh. Nothing special what so ever. I wish they had actually listened when we said we need to leave at a certain time cause they took so long to take our order we had to flag them down and then the food took a while too. The service was okay overall. BUT the place is a vibe inside. It is quite dark so be prepared for that. Just pretty disappoint cause those prices for that quality of food was not it.
I found this restaurant while looking for nice places to eat in area. The good reviews were what caught my attention to begin with, but when I saw the pictures of the food and the interior, I was definitely convinced. The service was great, the ambience was nice and relaxing, and the food was absolutely delicious. This is a spot I would take my picky mom to. Come to the Orange County please
Banana latte was the star of the show. Absolutely delicious. If you like something sweet, the lattes are a good choice. The chicken Cesar wrap, missed the mark. Lettuce was hot and wilted. The dressing was dripping from the tortilla. Was kinda disgusting. I had to open it up and just eat the chicken by itself. This item definitely needs to hit the drawing board again. Yuck! My friend ordered the Eggs Benny flight and that was good. Next time I'll try something different.
Great brunch spot in Corona. Enjoyed the chilaquiles w jalapeño crema (but do they have to charge extra for eggs?? That's always come included), mascarpone French toast with tres leches sauce and the three piece empanada appetizer. The cafe de olla is too sweet and wish they offered fresh milk/cream instead of creamer singles. Giving 3 stars bc of the wait staff. When Our table had a milk spill, it was difficult getting anyone's attention, they did not help with the cleanup on the table or floor and just handed us extra napkins. Would have definitely appreciated the help!

This was my first time here. I met my kids who drove up from OC and came on a Sat at about 11:30 am . The place was packed and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. For drinks, we had lemon waters and my daughter ordered an iced banana latte. I'll start by saying this was one of the reasons it didn't get 5 stars. We are usually not picky, but the banana latte was not good at all, we concluded, after three of us tried it. The waters are served in 8 oz glasses so if the server doesn't come back often for refills or to see how you're doing it is gone soon waiting to be refreshed. We ordered a melt, a steak skillet, and the mascarpone French toast . The skillet was delicious but it was definitely potato heavy with one egg and a small cut of steak on top. Steak was delicious. How could this have been better? To balance the potato-heavy skillet would have required one more egg at minimum. The mascarpone French toast was delicious and also came with a tiny container of sweetened condensed milk to pour on the toast or over the plate. My daughter was happy with her sandwich which came with a small order of fries. Portion sizes were average. The approximate cost of the bill with tip was $70-ish dollars. Ambiance- rustic, low lighting, crowded, and noise level was a 4.5 out of 5. read more

I think I came with high-expectations thinking this was a steak house quality place but was more like Yard House type food. The service was great but the food was mediocre. The filet was okay, not the best seasoning for $60 but was cooked as expected medium. The scallops had good seasoning. The shrimp pasta was okay, nothing to brag about. We had a cheese dip appetizer that came with tortillas, we asked for chips and paired much better with chips. Overall, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff but were underwhelmed with the food. They had my attention at Blackstone Kitchen. I dined here for brunch on a Saturday at 11:15 AM for my birthday, and I must say--I'll definitely be back for dinner. From the moment you walk in, you're met with a full view of the space, almost like waiting in line with excitement for one of the hottest clubs. The best part? There wasn't a long wait (if you're smart enough to make reservations). The ambience was impressive, dim lighting, romance, elegance, and sophisticated flair. It was giving date night vibes, even though I was there with my cousin. This is not your typical brunch with loud music and dancing. It's intimate, personal, and beautiful, a place where you want to have real conversations, listen intently, and enjoy good food. Quick note: the bathrooms are small (just two stalls), but they're not industrial. These are top-of-the-line toilets that honestly made me feel at home I loved that detail! Now, why didn't I give them five stars? A few things could have elevated the experience. But let's start with the highlights: The menu has a delicious selection of appetizers, brunch items, and cocktails. Of course, drinks were first we ordered the mimosa flights. You get three glasses of champagne-heavy mimosas with gorgeous garnishes. If you love mimosas, this is the way to go. For appetizers, my cousin and I ordered the spinach and artichoke rolls. My mouth was watering... but unfortunately, our entrées came out before the appetizer, so I never got to try them. For the main course, we had the classic steak and eggs. It comes with steak, eggs made your way, potatoes, and bread. For carb lovers, this is your plate. The potatoes were crispy and delicious, and the bread was perfect for soaking up my over-easy eggs with the Alohi sauce. My only gripe...the steak was a little tough, and I didn't want to "fight" with it. I wanted it to cut like butter. Our servers, Jesus and Javier, were an absolute delight. The customer service here is top-tier, from management walking around to check on tables, to servers covering for one another and staying in communication. Service was excellent. The appetizer mishap felt more like a kitchen issue than a server issue. To their credit, the food came out very quickly. Here's a tip: if you get Javier, ask him about drinks off the menu. He put me on to one called Lorenza, sweet like candy, strong like tequila, topped with tamarind, and beautifully presented. Elegant, classy, and delicious. The vibes here are unmatched, and I'm excited to come back for dinner. If brunch is this good, dinner can only get better. Location note: Blackstone is in the Dos Lagos Plaza in Corona, and there's so much to do in the area. After brunch, we caught the trolley, toured the plaza, played VR games, and ended with Pinkberry. It made for a full day out. Now, the reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5: * The hostess acknowledged my birthday, but there was no complimentary dessert, no birthday recognition from the servers, and no communication about whether they do anything special. * The steak was tougher than I'd like (or maybe the knife wasn't sharp enough). * We never got to try our appetizer. Even with those setbacks, I would still recommend Blackstone Kitchen. I believe every restaurant deserves a chance to redeem themselves everyone has an off day. This is definitely a vibe you don't want to miss. Bring a friend, your boo, or someone you love. We came to this restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday on a Sunday. We had a reservation for 12:45pm but I received a text about 30 minutes before our reservation that our table was already ready. We got sat down right away and the service was fantastic! The restaurant is a very aesthetic, clean, and lively environment. Our server was German and he was amazing! He was consistently checking on us and our food came very quickly! The food was amazing as well. We ordered the chicken avocado sandwich with truffle fries, french toast, and savory empanadas. Everything was AMAZING!! 10/10 would definitely come again! read more

We arrived Wednesday morning celebrating a retirement girls get-a-way trip. Our assigned hostess was the AMAZING Michel. We are picky ladies when it comes to food and we often request extra when we eat out. A little bit of this, or none of that, or plain old can you make this happen for us? Michel went above and beyond our request for our brunch. Her effortless attention to our needs stood out. Each time she passed us with another person's order she asked if we were ok and if she could do anything else for us. Her smile was contagious and clearly she loves her job and loves her customers. If you are ever in town, please ask for the Michel. I wish that she could bottle her amazing skill set and send out to other restaurants!! She is clearly next level and would easily fit in at any high end restaurant. The food was amazing. Hats off to the chef that made our meals a work of art. The taste was outstanding. I've been to upscale restaurants in Newport Beach, Malibu and Beverly Hill's and Blackstone belongs in those circles. We hade such a wonderful experience and look forward to returning. read more

So glad we got to make last minute reservations for brunch. I see why this place has a line. The food is delicious, the drinks are yummy and the interior has a cool, mellow vibe. There is patio seating, but glad we got a table indoors because this day was HOT. We ordered the Benedict flight...wow, I've never been to a place where all 3 Benedicts were GOOD! All the sauces were flavorful. - the tomatillo, jalapeño, and chipotle. For appetizers we got the savory empanadas -yum! The crust was light and flaky...the filling was soft and well seasoned. They provide you 2 dipping sauces...a sour cream and a salsa. My daughter got the chicken and waffles- the chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist inside. The waffles were fluffy! We also had the Passion Mocktail...delish as well! Had to exclude the alcohol this time around...we were going to church right after lol I will be back to try the rest of the menu! read more

Hubby & I went here today to try their brunch. We were greeted by German. He was super friendly and knowlegeable with our questions. Hubby ended up ordering their chicken & waffles and I got the chilaquiles tomatillo with scrambled egg. For drinks, he ordered their iced dulce de leche latte and I got an iced banana latte. Food was very good. Drinks could've used a bit more ice though. Ambiance was nice. Trendy and modern feel to the place. German recommend we come back and try them out for dinner time. 10/10 the steak and eggs FIRE! Call 911 and excellent the steak was nicely cut and served with a killer chimi churri sauce. $36 plate but it comes with potatoes two pieces of toast and ketchup. Just delicious. My sister got the chipotle chilaquiles they were too cheesy for her liking but I tried them and they were yummy. The drinks and iced coffee taste like chocomil so delicious. Reminded me of my grandparents old skool homemade chocolate milk shakes. Guys this place is delicious and very nice environment. The bathroom smelled clean and the staff speaks Spanish. My family celebrated our daughter's graduation here and it was fabulous. The ambiance was very zen with beautiful decor and clean atmosphere. Ever dish we ordered was fresh and delicious. We had chicken and waffles, ahi tuna salad, eggs Benedict, and even the spaghetti pancakes was unique and refreshing. Juan Carlos was a great server. They have a brunch/breakfast menu before the restaurant closes and opens for dinner at 5pm. I can't wait to come try the dinner menu. read more

Horrible customer service. Made a reservation over a month ago for mothers day and they don't bother to call. They sent an email a day ago cancelling, why not let customers know, knowing it's a busy day so they could make other plans. The girl I spoke to was rude and sounded incompetent. Had never been here and now I won't bother ever going. Asked to speak to a manager and they refused. Put me on hold for over five minutes. Poor management and customer service. They said they can't seat people at 1:45 yet if you try to make reservations they have that time still listed. Fix it so you don't continue to screw people's plans up. Response to Alessandro - that's bull crap! Then fix your times on open table ! 1:45 and 1:30 are on there, in fact while I was on the phone waiting to speak to a manager that was too busy I heard a guest walk up and say he made a 1:30 reservation and the girl on the line with me was checking him. So clearly you do take reservations after 1pm, you filthy liar. read more

First time here and this place is great. You must try the Rib Eye tacos. Best steak tacos in Corona hands down. The scallop ceviche was a miss. Needed more acid. Our bartender Javier was great. His service was on point, specially the drinks. Loved the restaurant atmosphere. The background music was very relaxing. This place has been open for some time now and we finally made it here. I have read some reviews of people saying how good the food was so we had to try it. The restaurant is nicely laid out and modern looking. The menu offers a variety of different food items both breakfast and lunch. My daughter had the waffles and my son had the chicken and waffles. He said several times that this was the best fried chicken he has ever had. My wife had the avocado toast trio and I had the chilaquiles with eggs over medium. The food took some time but was on point. If judging on food only, I would give this place 5 stars. My only complaint was that I had to get up and ask for water and salt/pepper. Our server was nice and busy and the person I asked was standing around and didn't even tell our server that we asked for water. We also missed out on the bread service which I hope we get next time when we come back. I can highly recommend this place the food is on point as are the drinks. read more

This restaurant popped up on Instagram for breakfast places but we went for dinner instead. We had no reservations but since it was during the early week we went, there wasn't any wait time and got seated right away. The restaurant was clean and very nicely decorated! Our server was very nice and attentive! My husband ordered the jalapeño pasta dish and I ordered the mole enchiladas and for our appetizer we ordered the ribeye guacamole. Everything we ordered was phenomenal!! I will definitely be back! read more
